*Lyrics* When I'm weary And so worn out Ooh, when my mind's clouded and Filled with doubt That's when I feel The most alive Masochistic kisses Are how I thrive A stiffness (in) Inside my neck (and) Bangin' my head (a) Against the desk (woah) If there's no pain (is) There any progress That's when I feel The most alive Endurance Is the source of my pride Might not be healthy for me but seemingly I need What cuts me, cuts me, cuts me, cut me, cut me, cut me Guess I'm a true immigrant son No vacancies, no vacations Sure, I could do better than this But I don't, I wont, I don't Might not be healthy for me but seemingly I need What cuts me, cuts me, cuts me, cut me, cut me, cut me Hurt me, hurt me
I got the honor to play with Moses on the Colbert show in February. I’m telling y’all he’s a legend. He is truly GREAT. Mans is a STAR in every sense of the word.
One day I was at a small festival in Austria and Moses played there. I never heard of him before, so I had no idea what to expect. It was a rainy day, which is not the best setting for a festival, but when Moses started playing, the sun came out. I instantly got goosepumps, as the clouds vanished naturally. To this day, I exactly remember that moment. It was thi very moment I discovered the power of music and art. Thank you, Moses Sumney!
Funny, cause once upon a time, EnVogue was doing a festival in Phoenix Arizona... on a beautiful sunny day. Just as soon as they got ready to sing "Hold On To Your Love," enormous gusts of wind began to come from nowhere. The sky instantly got dark, and it was the most immediate rain I had ever experienced. Till this day, I will avoid that song like the CoronaVirus!
I die. There is no one like Moses Sumney. From his voice to his performance to his identity... the way he meticulously and uniquely approaches every aspect of his art... pure genius ❤️ Thanks for this magical moment!
Idk why, but I really feel the blues in this one. I'm not really that Musically literate, It's just vibes, I feel it as which is more true. I also feel the soul Influence, and many much more influences. But the very odd feeling of the blues and jazz-like inspirations is what makes me like this song
@Bratislav Metulski shut up with your troll account. We can check every comment you have ever left. You're a plonker. Nothing but negativity coming from you.
I really love how COLORS promotes black artists and not just in an attempt to get “woke points”, by throwing one or two famous black artists in the mix. Like, there are actually almost as many black/mixed artists as there are white ones and that’s really rare. Let alone all the other ethnicities. It’s amazing to get so much diversity, both in origin, music type, style, etc... it really is a show of “Colors”.
There are so soo many incredible black and mixed young artists making music right now. So glad they are getting showcased! Excellence and creativity in music are alive and well!
I'm swooning from the fact that aside from this version sounding so good, every musician in this video is dressed and posed so well. I literally watch this every day.
