SR33:
Investigating the signal on the Mosfet input signal (pulse DC clock), it's clearly plagued with noise. This obviously is unwanted and affects circuit performance and efficiency.
Filters and (passive) Snubbers are new territory for me. Without calculating anything, a imperial approach is used to find components that effectively reduce noise. Utilizing a basic passive Snubber and a few bipolar capacitors, I'm able to reduce the noise (feedback) to acceptable levels. This helps to protect my circuit from harmful voltage spikes, and provides an optimal input signal to the VIC transformer primary winding. It does, however, consume additional power.
