I remember his first performance at Temple Beth-el in Boro Park and he sang L'keil Boruch, at a concert in tribute to Shmuel Vigoda who was present at that concert, and he brought down the house. His falseto is flawless. He is still davening and performing as of today.
his technique represents his taste. and his taste seems to be to sing like danto. so maybe you might say him to have a bad taste. but i would not agree. - well , writing this, i heard the son up to its end. and indeed. in the very finale, his voice is not sufficient. you cant sing high fortissimo with that covered voice
what do you mean with "bad technique". he covers his voice well, but not o much. he does not scream and uses his headvoice for high tunes. sound a bit like louis danto. indeed he does not sing the open italian style, and maybe he could produce good high tunes if he woud sing open and with full bodysupport. but that he does not that way does not at all mean, to have a bad technique.
