6:35 Snecko Eye's confusion is applied "atPreBattle" where Clockwork Souvenir applies "atBattleStart" in the code. Since prebattle occurs before battlestart, Confusion beats the Artifact.
I think the way you take extreme risks for extreme rewards separates you from other streamers. Even with the streak, you took an all offensive style for the 'Clad (with nary any form of defense) all the way to the Heart fight, which is extremely impressive.
Agreed. In particular, his choice of taking the Question Card for 279 gold @52:00. I would never done that, but his reasoning was great and it paid off immediately.
Did you see his card rewards? No power through (besides the one he took over offering), no second wind, no impervious, no corruption, no feel no pain. Hard to take defensive cards when they’re not offered and you have double egg for demon forms and attacks with a fan
Had to pause at the ooze for this, I got an ad as you clicked it the 2nd time and literally said to myself out loud, "why an ad here, did he get an egg or something?" 🤣🤣🤣
I dislike Nilry's Codex, not because it's bad, but because it adds so much time to the run and really messes up the flow. Normally you spend some time in combat, then spend some time out of combat deciding on cards to add (and pathing etc). With Nilry you have to stop every single turn to think about card adding. It's awful.
I think Nilry's is in the same category of relics as Runic Dome and Frozen Eye as 'very powerful relics that require patient, thoughtful play to make use of'. If you don't have time or willingness to think out future turns (like me), then it loses a lot of its usefulness.
I've killed the heart six times on A20 -- which I do consider to be an achievement, given how hard this game is -- but that's against dozens of losses... per character. Hundreds if you include all of the ascensions before 20. I still feel like I barely understand the game. The height of the skill ceiling is genuinely incredible, I've never experienced a single-player game like it and I'm not sure I ever will again.
