Excellent explanation. It gets a bit tiresome whenever someone posts a picture of their car and twenty-five people ask about the fitment specs. It's the same as cool paint jobs. People are always asking for the paint code, when they're never gonna paint their car anyway lol. Great video. Have a great rest of the week.

im Curently faced with the task of choosing wheels for my fd, can i please ask what the reason for 40 profile up front was, when the rear was 35 :) trying to understand what will work before spending all the dolla is really hard. any advice is welcomed you car looks amazing

That was just what looked closest in terms of profile a 40 up front would have appeared more thick and would have contacted the fender more.

Finally FD content 😎 I'm 18x10 CCW Classic front and rear. The OG CCW, not the new ones. 285/35 R888s but damn they're loud! Brrrrrrrrrrr 😵 which I can live with since they give me traction control in 1st gear 🚀 My alignment is a bit more aggressive and I recently fitted BC coilovers. Once I've dialed them in I'll get another alignment with a tad more camber as I tend to lean on my tyres hard. Oh, I fixed the oil filler tube issue! I used a Toyota 4Runner radiator hose which was the perfect diameter and cut an angled section so it misses the throttle linkage. I'll get around to ordering a fabricated filler eventually now the problem has been identified. How about a cruise video?

This fitment is actually horrible for functionality. It's clear your tires are stretched because you can see the wheel lips from the front and back of the car. You probably did that so you could have them poke out of the fenders. I never understood that look because real performance cars never do that. It would be much better the have your wheel lips be vertically flush with your fender lips with the appropriate section width tires. Having to roll the front fenders is another indication that you got it wrong. With all the specs you listed, your offsets should be more like +40 and you tires should be at least 245 and 285.

Also, more vertical sidewalls are less prone to punctures that can't be repaired and better support the tread in cornering situations where you are generating lateral loading.

Since you like going to the canyon(s), I would reverse that toe up front to out same amount. Get the better turn-in feel. 😉

most cars do not have a caster adjustment the wheel being more forward more caster improves how responsive it is on turn in the further the wheel is back less cater makes it less responsive

The FD does. Did you know that only this year Porsche 911 has introduced double wishbone suspension.... The FD had this since conception.

@@RETMTM yes I am well aware really high end luxury and sports cars now a days has a caster adjustment but back in the day when independent front suspension was first invented just about all cars had a way to make adjustments to all 3 toe caster and camber NOW from the factory MOST cars only have a toe adjustment from the factory and have to be modified to make camber or caster adjustments
