As someone who had to dig through archival newspapers from the 1800s for my masters thesis, im jealous of how large the font is on the paper mockup.

Great video! A tip: You can actually dispose of news on the globe you're not interested in right away, the little trash can button in the article's top right corner. This will immediately free up the telegrapher that was holding the story to search for more relevant news. Combined with the right filters, this makes reporting on stuff very powerful and fast. As long as a telegrapher is holding a story, it can't search for other news!

It would be pretty cool if when you are building your newspaper the letters were misaligned and words were spelled wrong depending on the level of the staff putting it together.

13:50 Ideally you don't want your toilet and washing station to be in the same place. I know it's often for people to have toilet right next to bathroom sink, but for hygienic reasons, it's best to keep the two separate.

As someone old enough to have spend time in that type of printing press, the games representation is wildly inaccurate, it's not loud, it is INSTANT ear bleed loud. And you always build the printing press downstairs, due to the heavy machinery being impossible to transport upstairs. Though I guess for game silliness it doesn't have a bottom floor, even while it has a door and a place to drive in trucks to deliver the machines?

You had it correct with "make up some stories". Historically there were thousands of newspaper publishers. You never really trusted a single paper you had to read multiple papers and find journalists you could trust. the concept of a trustworthy news outlet is so modern it is past ww2 in concept. Frankly people trusting the media has been the main issue with today's journalism. People give the news readers too much credit and the actual journalists are very few in numbers. To top it off there are only three legacy media outlets that still do journalism. To top it all of is that they all have the same editorial bias.

Never thought of it before but it sounds like it could be really interesting! Saying that I can’t remember the last time I saw a newspaper so maybe it would be better to be a historic game. Or maybe the paper from the superman films.
