Haha! How come so many poms are tiny poo gremlins? It always seems to be the poms who find the only pile of dog poo within a 6 mile radius and decide to wear it 😨😂
She is absolutely adorable. My grandmother had a tiny red Pomeranian. His name was Red Boy. My brother and I loved Red Boy because when we got in trouble and my mother or my grandmother wanted to spank us, they had to deal with Red Boy. He was our protector... With his lil' self. He would even nip at their ankles.😀😂. So we knew we were in trouble when one of them put him in the bedroom. Sooooo many years ago. Thanks for posting your little fluff ball Pomeranian.
Me: **confused** I've never seen a pom with an Aussie Shep coat! Her: Poms don't come in this colour, a shep must of been introduced somewhere. Me: Aah, Yeah, that'll do it.
Blue Merle doesn't only occur in Australian Shepherds... It's just that Aussies got so grossly popular that most people associate Merle dogs with that breed only.
@@evaundele123 OK, but that literally doesn't take away from my thinking? 🤣 pure bloodline Poms aren't suppose to be this colour, then she explained why hers is, and I was like "Ah yeah! Makes sense" 🤷🏻♀️
@@user-tx5hf9zq2v That's true for most people. :) Many link the Merle colour with Aussies, even though there are many breeds who can have that colour, some of them more likely, some of them less likely. Catahoula Leopard Dog, Dachshund, Smooth Collie, Welsh Corgi Pembroke and Cardigan, Great Dane, Sheltie, Chihuahua, Mudi, Border Collie, just to name some. Funnily enough, most people only know the black and white Border Collies and merle Aussies, even though both breeds can appear in the same colour patterns: 16 different colour patterns for the Aussie, and even more - recognized - colours for the Border Collie. I'm a little passionate about that topic/the breed because I have adopted two wonderful Australian Shepherds in the past. I guess I was just trying to clarify to prevent people reading the comments from thinking that the merle colour is just an Aussie thing. I didn't mean to be condescending, sorry if it appeared that way :)
OMG Gidget is adorable! Sometimes I miss having a tiny dog but after 22 years of adopting retired racing greys, I really can’t see our life without a greyhound in it. We love the harder to adopt XXL boys and all our boys have been 90lb + gentle giants.
My Pomeranian loves being brushed. She will bump her sister over to get brushing first. I think this is because I make it a point to praise her and tell her what a good girl she is during brushing. And of course, she gets a treat after.
I'm going to be real here. Some of the best behaved dogs I've ever known, were groomers dogs, and thats because we put them through every single uncomfortable sensation multiples times within the first month of their existence lol. Those dogs are bomb proof come 1 year old hah!
Or because groomers are basically experienced dog trainers (considering how many they work with and pretty much train to behave so they can groom which is really hard to do)
I live with two pomeranians (they're not necessarily mine) and I _still_ cant get over how over the top adorable Gidget is. Her little nubby paws and the way her mane floofs is just perfect.
I'm not big on Pomeranians, but there's something about Gidget's fur pattern, coloration (the paws being a bonus), and her temperament that just makes me wanna squeal at how precious she is
I’ve never owned a Pom but I love to meet them. Now I understand why - they’re super friendly attention seekers! Thanks for sharing gidget with us. She’s gorgeous.
I really like that you don’t support shaving double coats! It’s horrible to do and I see way too often people do it thinking they’re helping keep their pup cool.. Love the purple paws by the way, they look like cute purple boots!
Is more popular on Asian countries to dye the doggies, I saw once a pure white puppy (looked like a poodle) with dyed brown ears and paws it looked like a toy!!! Is extra adorable!!!
Bit of a long comment, but bear with me here. So I hade to look this up. There are dog-safe dyes out there made specifically for your dog's fur so as long as you don't use dye made for humans, you should be okay (seriously, don't use human dye. There are toxic ingredients in a good chunk of human dyes that can kill your pet). You'd also have to A) make the dog one solid color or B) dye your dog with a plan in mind and the skills required should you want to dye a pattern on your furry friend. Whether or not it is ethical to dye your pet is entirely up to you, of course. I personally think that as long as you wash the dye out of the dog's fur afterwards and it is dog-friendly, it should be fine. Like I said earlier, its up to you to make that decision.
"And Ready to roll in some poop outside" MAN, and after all that hard work too 😂 But totally relatable. My Papillon-Pom cross for some reason always wants to run around outside after i bathe and groom him myself!
My poodle knows he gets punished with T H E D R E A D E D B A T H if he rolls in fox crap. So he's taken to singling out relatively inoffensive bird droppings for a bit of a roll instead.
Ironically, I'm a Cobbler's daughter, but we broke that "tenet"...we had too many shoes! My favorites growing up were Bastáad Clogs from the Trillium Shop in Ontario, Canada (I'm from Buffalo NY)...the boys NEVER hassled me!!😎
I have watched this video 4 times in just 1 week, I absolutely love this dog, she's the cutest I have ever seen and her color is awesome. Seeing her cute face and expressions while she gets groomed makes my day, and those purple paws melt me every time. I need mor Gidget in my life.
When we first rescued our little Cannoli, we thought she liked getting brushed. But she actually just loved the attention, and she was trying to get as much attention as possible. If anyone sees my comment and is thinking about getting a Pomeranian, make sure you're ready to give them plenty of attention. They need it.
They don’t need it…… They demand it! Crave it!!! Lol 😂 Sorry, my cousin has a Pomeranian named Channel. Channel is such an attention seeker. If she feels she is not getting enough she will do something to make sure the attention is back on her…. Don’t ask about bringing other dogs around her. She hates it as she wants to be the only dog in the house and will let you know how displeased she is about it. (Example: I have a Swedish Vallhund who gets a lot of attention when I bring him over…. Channel showed her displeasure and made sure that the attention was on her by somehow locking him in his crate when people came over… and even to this day we have no idea how she managed to do that)
@@rogue7723 She kinda goes like this. She does not growl or bark or anything when the other dog shows up, in fact she does not care or do anything as long as the dog does not get attention. But as soon as people start paying attention to the other dog (even if it’s just one person) that’s when she decides she does not like the dog and wants the dog gone.
I love watching your pomeranian videos. They remind me so much of the only dog in my heart, Hermes Pomeranian. He was the most wonderful little boy I ever had.
“She’s ready to roll in poop 💩” Hahahah the realest quote I’ve ever heard! Same with my pups, every time they are clean it’s their favorite thing to do…
Do you all know that "before the British Army had radar, they had Pomeranians."? Pomerania are supposed to have super sensitive hearing and night vision. They were used as secret guards in British army camps and barracks. And, because it is known they don't like most people, they were quick off the mark when strangers were about.
"You brought a pomeranian bowling?" "I didn't "bring" it bowling..I didn't rent it shoes..I'm not buying it a fucking beer..he's not taking your turn, Dude"
My mom always took our Pom to one place to one specific person, the one time she didn’t they shaved our Pom! It was very splotchy and it never grew back even 13 years later when he passed
My wife and I run a small boarding kennel. We train and groom as well. We have three Golden Retrievers who, "go to the groomer". We just never have time to groom our own. It gives them some time out of the house and some special attention. What a pretty girl!
She’s so dainty and fancy! Especially the last pose she makes at the end omg. She’s ready to go to shopping in Bel-air and then sip on a cocktail poolside at the country club where she summers.
Pomeranians are so beautiful, I have four😁💖 They go to their groomer once a month, and I don’t brush them in between grooming visits either. Gidget is adorable🥰♥️
Adorable. Seeing her run outside reminded me of the time a hawk almost flew away with my chihuahua I've never run so fast in my life, but all was well since my chihuahua was a fighter and the hawk didn't want to deal with both me and my dog.
While I can see that, the genes are totally different. Keeshonds are all* Agouti/Wolf Grey, same pattern you see on huskies and malamutes. :) *to clarify this statement, I mean they do not carry merle, but that the similar coloring that can occur is Agouti. They can carry other colors-I have a Keeshond-Chow mix and she is solid black.
@@frials4757 I should clarify, “all” as in, not merle. Agouti can look similar but it’s not genetically the same as merle. The Keeshond doesn’t carry merle. Also, my Keeshond-chow mix is solid black. :)
Damn Pomeranians and those Luxating Patellas. Bane of my existence. It’s why I went into genetics, to try to work on creating programs to permanently eliminate it in purebred lines. That and Hip Dysplasia, which took my first dog. IVDD is taking number four and I’m not happy. Third is cheating death with DCM at 13... she’s my favorite.
But that's what happens with purebreds it's lack of new genes. If you only bred the best with the best you would limit genes even further, so the quickest way is literally crossbreeding. It's why Irish Red and Whites are being bred back to Irish Reds. They need the genetics and they were already related and then they separated the breed by color. My only purebred passed away and had almost every problem the breed is known for outside of Ivdd! *edited for spelling*
As someone with genetically shallow kneecap grooves (currently working on dislocation injury number three), I can confidently say that patellas need to stay the hell put also, the genetic issues with purebreds is why I'm so supportive of crossbreeding and mutts of any kind. I love my mixed baby ❤️
@@madeliner1682 sadly my mixed breed now does have Ivdd 2. He is a Chiweenie and it's the only problem related to his breed he has. His teeth are good and so are his knees at 7 years old. He's ruptured a disc, but he had surgery and is back to living life with some precautions in place to Keep it that way! My boyfriend has bad patellas also, so he understood my dogs plight.
@@madeliner1682 He can't entirely feel his back feet, they do weird stuff sometimes when he's tired. But he's pretty good! ❤ Pet insurance saved the day.
Washed my rotti the other day. After drying his big ass i took him for a walk in the forest off his leash where he found the carcass of some dead animal and rolled in its decayed remains for a minute before i realized why he was having a blast. my face was like 0_0
Gidget is soooo precious!! I love her colors as well. I used to own a Pomeranian myself. His name was Bear and he was a pure black color and a very handsome boy.
"Ready to roll in some poop outside," He would do the same thing right after grooming. My wife thought it was funny, she wasn't the one who spent every other weekend bathing blow drying, clipping and shaping him for three hours. I still remember how his blonde shinning "hair" bounced as soon as I let him out of the bathroom torture chamber and shimmered as he did his first roll.
4:33 “ready to roll in some poop outside.” Funny she said that. I got my Pomeranian groomed this past week. The day after he saw some bird poop on the pool deck. I saw him getting ready to roll in it. I caught him before he did...goofy pups. Love my boy like crazy!! She looks amazing by the way:) You do a great job with all your dogs!!
Omg shes so FLUFFY!!! LOL I absolutely love when really fluffy dogs like her get a bath! It really is the only time you really see how small they truly are.. lol I had a pom growing up and so did my grandparents. I love how sweet they are. 💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜
Gidget is so Beautiful . she looks very Dignified . i Love your grooming shows . you take wonderful care of all your clients . you are very gentle . And your Gidget is perfect .
oh my god, she's so cute!! and her little purple feet just add so much charm - what a sweet little dog. you chose well :] it's always cool to see your own dogs on this channel!
I have a Pomeranian-Bichon. He has the same face. Mickey loves his grooming but his hair grows so fast. He was diagnosed with cancer 3 months ago. Given about a year. He is 12 and is our baby. I will be hard to accept but he gets lots of love.
i cannot explain where i got this image in my head, but as soon as you started colouring Gidget's paws, i had a sudden thought of Snoop Dogg wearing those massive fur coats and with his association with the colour Purple i just lost hit ahaha
Your channel is super underrated! I love how professional you are and how gentle you are with the dogs! I hope that the pandemic hasn’t been too hard on your shop, stay safe and I wish you all the best! One little request though, would you please put before and after shots on every video? It’s proper satisfying to see.
I loved the history of the Poms, thanks for that, I never knew. My Auntie always had the orange Poms, and they're the most cutest little things. Your Gidget is quite the babe. Love your channel, and I newly subscribed, rang the bell, and liked your videos!! Heartfelt thanks for all the kindness and care you give your clients! You have mad skills, and are worth every penny you charge!!
