This place was unreal. I think I kept saying awesome, super, wow etc but I didn't feel I needed to apologies with the views on offer. I also think I was delirious on the views calling the alpine huts shops and bars 😂 It was a great spot for a beer and I'd certainly like to return to the area to explore some more one day. This place was absolutely amazing and the Berchtesgaden National Park in general. I do hope to return one day. And yeah, this was from late August last year and on a hot day. Spring is not too far away. I can see it getting dark later now. Thank you very much for taking time to watch 🙂👍Paul

It is indeed a beautiful part of the world. This was my last day in the area and I was blown away by the views in Bindalm. I was sat on that bench for quite a while just lapping up the views. I do hope to visit the Berchtesgaden National Park and explore some more one day.

👍11 sorry to hear the transport costs were so expensive. Look at those epic mountains. What a great trail, bet the mountain bikers love it. That is the perfect spot for a beer, id find it hard to leave! 🍻 love the little chapels along the way. Amazing Alpine Hüttes. 10/10

Yeah the bus wasn't cheap but saved me 4-5 hours of walking time, which was time I didn't have. I think it was well worth it in the end. It's probably one of the best spots I have drank a beer and I was there at the hut for a wee while. I sure hope to return one day to explore a bit more. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul

We were hoping for BAMF this year but it might be a bit pricey to get there (cheap enough when your there though), we are already getting excited about Germany as a closer and more affordable option. It looks amazing and we were so close when we were in Austria and really wanted to hop over..

Hi Tracy, when you started with absolutely stunning I thought you meant me and then read the Berchtesgaden Alps 😂 This place was absolutely awesome. If I had not seen it for my own eyes I would not have believed it was real. That was some beer with a view and savoured the moment. Thank you very much for watching. Yeah it was a bit expensive but I'd also say very much worth it in the end. Those mountain views were outstanding. I could do with a hermit hut out there 🙂

Hi Dave, this is probably one of the best places I have ever had a beer and I've had a beer in some awesome places. This place really blew me away. I think I repeated myself with beautiful, awesome, stunning etc on the video a lot but I felt no apologies were needed. You will love the Berchtesgaden National Park and September is a great time to go as the weather is supposed to better. This was late August. I hope to return one day and explore some more and I'm thinking perhaps next year. Thank you very much for watching. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul

Wow Paul .. this National Park seems to just keep on giving with its fantastic views. After my "wow" thought , next I was thinking "I wonder what they are called " haha what a pleasant surprise I got 😆 That's a great little feature to show all their names. I doubt I'll remember any but at least I know I can refer back to this video if I'm ever lucky enough to visit the area. Absolutely amazing views from beginning t end. They seem to do those little bars so perfectly abroad don't they? and that bench was situated in the spot to be . Ohhhhh gosh ... The shorts are out!!! Haha laughing with you about this as you know ... look ideal for the weather ... fab video yet again 😎😊

Now you know where I got the bus to at the end of the the last video. I packed a lot in. Bindalm was absolutely amazing. I think I was lost for words calling the alpine huts bars and shops 😂Oh and lots of repeating of words like stunning, wow, amazing, awesome but I don't think I need to apologise for that. And oh yeah those shorts finally got an outing. In fact I had shorts on every day whilst in the Germany as it was super hot. I'm glad you enjoyed the captured views from Bindalm. Omg, this is beautiful. My son is visiting right now from Berlin. I will show him this. He hasn’t traveled much in Germany, but he belonged to a hiking club when he lived and went to college in Edinburgh. You captured some awesome beauty here 🥰👍Yes, definitely like a picture postcard It reminds me of Switzerland & Austria. Was there in the 70’s, but never hiked in the alps. Bindalm is absolutely stunning. I was blown away by the beauty of the place. I think on the video I kept repeating words like wow, stunning, beautiful etc but I felt no need to apologise for that. Having said that RU-vid doesn't seem to like it...yet. My videos do tend to be slow starters. I'm hoping to get to Switzerland soon and I have some videos from Austria coming in the next few weeks 🙂As for the Berchtesgaden National Park I do hope to return and do more exploring. In fact I intend to. I hope your son picks up some tips and ideas of places to visit in the area whilst there from my videos. You can get to Bindalm by bus or hiking. I did the bus to save time on this occasion, as I had a lot to pack in, but will hike up to there next time. I'm so glad you enjoyed the views I managed to capture from Bindalm. Hi Phil, Bindalm was absolutely stunning with those awesome mountain views. I was in this specific location for about 2 hours but in the Berchtesgaden National Park I was there for 4 full days. I packed a lot in and hope to be back some day. Maybe then I will do the walk and more. I'm glad you enjoyed the views. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul

illinois is such a flat state. as these mountains tower around you, i marvel. the air must be so clean. i feel tiny scooting among the skyscrapers downtown, but it goes without saying these eclipse them in size. of course a hermit takes the upper path where he'd encounter less people. 😉 uh. thanks for the bug? 🤣what a place to have a drink, kapow! btw, have you switched to tuesdays now? cheers, paul! 🛴❤

I'm hoping to get back to releasing on Monday but some of the recent videos have taken an age to edit, build and upload so it's got into Tuesday. @@TheHikingHermit i like the tuesdays. but i also like the mondays. lol! i'm feeling a bit spoiled reading your uploading woes. my internet here is ridiculous. it's only when we're in michigan that i get annoyed with it taking a few hours to upload. here it's a few minutes. usually the 4k is ready in another 90. don't hate me! anyway. whenever they come out, i'm glad to see them!

@@scootladychicago well those long videos were about 20GB and took over 12 hours to upload and then a few hours for YT to check. My Internet connection isn't super rapid. I also add subtitles etc which takes another good chunk of time but sometimes wonder why I bother 🙂Thanks again for watching. Next up I will be in Austria

Hi Paul The towering mountains behind you are impressive 3:15 It reminds me of some of your hike in the past, for instance, the upland area in Scotland, in the Lake District in North West England and Snowdonia in North Wales if I am not mistaken. I can understand the reason why you are drawn to. It gives me goosebumps. So muscular, so forceful, so stubborn. It is as if I have been watched. The beauty of nature is born through hundreds and thousands of yrs of weathering,, I reckon. This place offers a relaxing feel of the mountains, making it perfect for letting the stress disappear and peace to find its way to our souls. hahah you allow yourself a bottle of beer. I thought you won't take any alcohol during your hike, but water. I am not an insect expert, but is it possible long-horned beetle ? 4:04 Ahhh, Is this Christ for pious hikers to pray for safety? 5:53 I have no idea about the purpose for it???? Your film has very sharp, clear line and radiant colors 8:15 BC of your technique? the weather? the editing program? Well done, One of your masterpiece, I reckon. I take advantage of it and enjoy the moments here and I thank YOU.

Hi Ms Kayak, this place was absolutely stunning and I'm not sure I have seen anything quite like it. Then again some of those mountains in Scotland and the Lake District are beautiful. I have a trip booked to Scotland this year. I enjoyed this very hermit friendly area and could imagine having a hut out there. And well I was in Germany so got to have a beer. Besides it wasn't a hike in the true sense of the word. Well not for me anyway. It was a great spot for a beer tho. I'm not sure what the insect was either but it was rather large and the little chapel was in a cool setting. It was good for photos with that mountain back drop. The video footage is straight out of my GoPro 11 tho I do have it set up with specific settings of my own (the hermit special settings 😂). I find the main issue is keeping moisture off the lens and keeping the lens clean or it can blur the video. I'm so glad you enjoyed the captured views. I will be in Austria next.
