Colombo - Batticaloa. Colombo - Jaffna. Colombo- Ella. Colombo - Trincomale are some of the best rail journeys in the country that takes you to some of the exotic destinations in the country.

I loved watching this video! It filled me with nostalgia as I went on the same train a few weeks ago. The views are incredible. I agree that it's the most beautiful train ride in the world :)

I went from Kandy to Ella and Nuwara Eliya is a stop on that train. I should have broken the journey up as 7 hours was a loooong time, haha!

Haha. That’s why I took it in Nuwara Elyia. It was 4h still.
