I'd agree! Who's here in 2024? I loved this show back in the day. It's one of the few soap operas the 80's that dudes watched and it didn't really feel like a soap opera! lol!

I’m the later shoes after he died they talked about him like he was a saint. He was ruthless. Difference between him and JR was that Jock was more direct and rough around the edges. Old school red neck!
No. Jock honored handshake deals. He assured that season 1 Gas Station guy Ewing Oil would never pick on him, but only ones their "own size". He loved Bobby keeping his deal with Jordan Lee at expense of $$ (season 2). He would've sold the Asian wells at a loss to keep Ellie happy re: drilling on SF. He took Ray in, before knowing he was his son. Wildcat days, he kept Digger on board for long as possible, when everyone else thought ditch him- Revealed later in the show.
I agree I remember watching this live. I was about 13 and this was my favorite show. It wasn’t a happier kid in Connecticut sitting in my favorite chair channel 3 9 o’clock let’s go and he should’ve definitely and I mean. Definitely waited till they got home or even in the morning time cause I was he was gonna be drunk and just said daddy why are you taking this money? I was it but at least consulting me, it messes up my plans don’t do that in front of buddies Jesus Christ that was wrong but they don’t make shows like this anymore. I mean my goodness and Saturday night watch love boat watch reruns a dirty Harry VCR just a great 70s now these kids stream stream stream won’t get up their phones. This was a great generation when you grow up in the 70s 80s and don’t even give me started being 18 years old in the mid 80s holy smokes. 😅
To be fair, this was Jock's last season, and Jim Davis was undergoing cancer (chemo) treatment. This was a wig. He did have great hair, though, in previous seasons.
