In today's video, we are taking a look at a kitchen sink that has very low water pressure. At the end of this video, you should build to fix the most common problem with low water pressure in your kitchen sink. I started at the end of my faucet and removed it to check the filter and as you see in this video I slowly work my way back to determine where the blockage was. Before I started aside made sure I checked all other faucets in the house to ensure we had proper water pressure and we did so I knew the problem was exclusive with the kitchen faucet or the piping underneath the kitchen sink. As I started to make my way back through the components of the faucet I noticed that the sediment collecting screens were pretty plugged up and that in the end turned out to be the way that we had no or little water pressure. Pretty simple project to do very common and overlooked in many cases I've seen people replace whole faucet setups when it was completely unnecessary. Hopefully, this video will save you a little bit of time and money and you can have your water pressure back to where it should be in no time at all.

Helpful vid. I have learned to cover the drain so no parts fall into it, and put a bag clip (like for potato chips) on the retractable line to keep it from going back into the faucet. It took me an hour to dig it out one time, and I don’t want that headache again.

I fixed it quickly and easily before my husband even got out of bed. (But not before squirting myself in the face like a stooge.) I'm a fan. 😁

Omg I was about to give up on my 8 year old kitchen sink faucet..i had low water pressure i even went as far as to go into my crawlspace & under the sink. For the life of me this was bothering for nearly 2 weeks until a lightbulb flashed Go on youtube. The first video I saw was doing too much to actually buying a new faucet head but when I did what your video showed YOU NAILED IT! I dont know what was in my faucet head. I wish I had done a before and after water pressure video 😖 Just want to commend you & thank you for this video!!!!

Nobody ever covers the drain while removing parts. I always make sure my drains are covered to protect anything from accidentally going down drain

What is that constant loud background noise? It sounds like a shower running but you have the water off and the noise runs through the entire video.

Well I just went back to listen and I am really not sure, sounded like a burger sizzling on the stove. I even walked around to see if i could figure it out but to no avail. thanks for asking but now you have me wondering as well. LOL

Is there another screen somewhere in the line? Maybe where the hot and cold water come together at the faucet? I've lost water pressure and it's been kind of an on-off thing for the past several months. I'll go to the sink flip the hot or the cold and barely have a trickle. Come back to it and flip it again and it's full pressure. When the pressure is low, no other Faucets in the house have this problem. As of last night it decided not to fix itself, as it has all the other times. This morning I'm still at a trickle in the kitchen faucet. I took the top nozzle, just like you have off, but still have very little pressure coming through my faucet hose line. I can't seem to find a screen at the front end of the line, I stuck a screwdriver way up the hose and hit nothing. So is there anywhere else in the hose with a screen that maybe might be at that's causing my problem? Like I said is there one where the hot and cold come together in the faucet ? Sorry this was so long.

In my case there is no other screen. Maybe you have a bad hose that looks ok but is collapsing on itself on the inside. Hard to tell unless you remove it. Again i am not sure on you set up. Sorry i was not much help in your particular case.

If its stuck on the side still hooked up to water, you can turn on the faucet real slow just get ready to catch it. If it is on the other side then you may have to use a very small pointed item to grab it through he little holes. I hope this helps.
