I am their client. Recently, my PR application approved by ICA. I am work with Jocelyn (Senior Immigration consultant) and Glendi (Senior document controller) for my PR application. During free consultation session, Jocelyn understand and evaluate my profile effectively first, then she decide that my profile is able to get approval from ICA and explain the strategy about how to strengthen my profile. They don't give false hope to client, if someone's profile is unlikely to get it approve by ICA, they will reject the case. I am very satisfied with document package: personalized cover letter, recommendation letters, etc, which have increased the chance to get approved by ICA. Thanks.

Could you please shed light on the significance of having savings in one's account when applying for Permanent Residency (PR) in Singapore? If it does indeed play a crucial role, could you provide an estimate of the minimum amount that should be maintained in the account?
@theimmigrationpeople
@theimmigrationpeople Год назад
When applying for PR in Singapore, financial stability is crucial. The government assesses various factors, including financial stability, to determine eligibility. There is no specific minimum amount mentioned by the authorities. Still, having a substantial amount saved and a good investment portfolio are generally recommended. The amount may vary depending on individual circumstances, such as family size, income level, and lifestyle expenses. Savings alone may not guarantee approval, as other factors like employment history, educational qualifications, and societal contributions also play a role. If you are considering applying for PR in Singapore and would like more specific information tailored to your situation, we do recommend that you book a consultation with us. You can call in to +65 6240 6995 or email us at support@tip.com.sg.

Hi, may I ask, can I resign upon submission of my PR application?
@theimmigrationpeople
@theimmigrationpeople 7 месяцев назад
Hi there, The basic requirement to be eligible for a PR application is that the applicant has to be holding a work pass (S-Pass, Employment Pass and above. Please note that Work Permit holders are not eligible for PR application). Even though the application is submitted, the moment the main applicant does not fulfil this criteria, the entire application will be voided and it will be automatically withdrawn by ICA.

Hi Elena, I am a Singaporean. I have question for the application for long term visit pass for my girlfriend from Vietnam. She got her own small freight forwarding company that she setup in Vietnam a few years ago. She is the sole-prop of the company. Can I check is it a must to find a job in Singapore in order to have the LTVP? Because if she were to work in Singapore, she will not have the time commitment for her own company. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
@theimmigrationpeople
@theimmigrationpeople Год назад
Hi KL KL, Thank you for sharing. To sponsor LTVP for foreign spouse, you will need to produce a marriage certificate. If you have not registered your marriage, you may apply for the Pre-Marriage Long-Term Visit Pass Assessment (Before Marriage). The PMLA will allow you to: - exchange key information with each other before getting married; - find out if your girlfriend may qualify for a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) after marriage; and - enjoy a significantly shorter processing time when your subsequently submit an LTVP application. To answer your question: your girlfriend's employment in Singapore, it is not a requirement for LTVP application but as the sponsor, you will need to show sufficient and stable employment income to support your foreign spouse's wellbeing in Singapore.

Please answer me I work as a web developer in an American company remotely I want to live in Singapore Can I get a pr? Or if I find a job in Singapore and get a pr then stop working and they will take my pr? And I've heard that Singapore's PR is permanent and has no expiration period even if you leave the country for several years and your PR kit will still be valid? Is this true?
@theimmigrationpeople
@theimmigrationpeople Год назад
Hi, You are not able to get a Singapore PR as a remote employee. If your current company has an office in Singapore, you may request them to apply for an Employment Pass first. The Singapore PR status is permanent, and all Singapore PR holders need to renew their Re-Entry Permit (REP) before it expires. The REP is valid for five years. It allows a Singapore PR to retain his PR status when travelling out of Singapore. A Singapore PR will risk losing his PR status when: 1. He leaves Singapore with an expired REP. 2. He is still overseas with an expired REP. So, to answer your other questions, your PR will not get revoked if you are unemployed in Singapore. However, the ICA will most likely lessen your REP renewal validity - which might affect you when planning to travel overseas for a long. You should stay employed in Singapore. You can read more about Singapore PR REP in our article here: www.tip.com.sg/articles/singapore-permanent-resident-renewal.html

Hello I want to ask you I studied in Singapore and then I got pr and rep in Singapore to get citizenship you have to give up my first citizenship now I plan to go to Canada and after 3 years I can get Canadian citizenship and then come back to settle in Singapore Is this possible or after 3 years of absence has become strange and I can not return? And another question, are university degrees from Singapore recognized internationally? I also have a friend who wants to get a scholarship if she studies in Singapore with a scholarship, do they give her a period of searching for work and pr or scholarship students who must return directly to their country after studying??? Thank you 🤗🤗
@theimmigrationpeople
@theimmigrationpeople Год назад
Hi! From what we understand of your situation, you are a Singapore PR working towards getting Singapore Citizenship. The first thing you must know is that as a Singapore PR with a REP, being away from Singapore for three years might not be a good move - unless you have a valid reason. Your REP is only valid for 5 years, which you must renew before it expires. If a Singapore PR is away for a long time, the ICA might reduce your next REP duration or worse, reject your REP renewal. Secondly, Singapore DOES NOT allow dual citizenship. For the second portion, yes. University degrees from Singapore are internationally recognised. In Singapore, keen foreign students can apply for Singapore PR under the Foreign Student Scheme. But to be eligible for it, you must: - reside in Singapore for more than 2 years, - have passed at least one national exam. If none of these applies to your friend, then no. She can still look at scholarships in Singapore for foreign students.
