Bro the number one I think about is how much of SOCCER HISTORY would be rewritten if var was around all these years Like England wouldn’t have a World Cup 😭😭😭
@@roha1l that’s not what I mean exactly I mean all the results in history would possibly be rewritten… goals that counted would be taken back To your point, if var had been around all these years then the way it governs the game would’ve been the standard all these years, instead of “the referee is never wrong”
Not necessarily the players are alot more careful knowing the game can be pulled back kinda of takes the sting and aggression away from football which us s huge loss
@@lejeegz1185considering that he previously played for Arsenal i doubt racism came into it but the deliberate stamp on Van Persie’s face (which should have been an instant red card) who was his old teammate and then deliberately antagonise the Arsenal fans like that showed what kind on fecking dickhead that guy was
As a CFC fan… how I miss having a proper No .9 like Costa/Drogba. Tough, physical, up for the fight and capable of performing under pressure in big games. My favourite Costa story is his first day in training. He spoke only a little English. He approached JT and said ‘ You.. Me… We go to war’ What a glorious bastard he was
he said after the game he purposefully didn't give out any reds as to not get blame for ruining tottenhams title chances. Quite clever actually, he let spurs self implode
Yea and the goal with the ball hitting a balloon (which is even more ridiculous) wouldn’t have counted and Liverpool would’ve won the league. Don’t pick and choose.
It should also be pointed out, that a couple years after that 2-2 Spurs/Chelsea game Clattenberg admitted he went into the match not wanting to send anyone off. Ridiculous that the ref just decided he wasn't going to give a red, cause a few were deserved.
Chelsea played reluctantly that season. But in this match, it was as if they deliberately wanted to screw with their opponent, who fought for the championship until the last moment.
I'm from the US. Ive only been to one game in Europe before. And it was at Anfield when Suarez bit ibanovic. What a wonderful game to see. Anfield has no screens in the stadium. So nobody knew during the game that the biting incident had occurred. Wasnt until after the game that we had realized.
Amazing content lad, would've been great to add context of these matches for relatively new PL comers like me. Good job, don't stop, you got yourself a new sub.
Spurs Chelsea and Spain Netherland 2010 final are games which prove how much we need VAR in this game, unbelievable how no one waa red carded in any of these games
Can't blame the ref for the Liverpool beach ball incident. If your own fans are dumb enough to chuck stuff in front of your goal then play on. FYI I am a Liverpool fan and I've never had a problem with that goal counting
Ok but that goal should never have counted?? Would you say its ok for the opposition to have a penalty because a Liverpool fan pitch invaded and slide tackled an attacker in the box??
@@sharifahsyed9125 I know the goal shouldn't have counted but I'm not complaining that it did because it's the Liverpool fans own stupidity for throwing the ball on the pitch in the first place. And I don't know what the official rule is about the pitch invader question but if the opposition striker had a clear goal scoring opportunity and a pitch invader tackled them in the box then yes, I think a penalty would be justified. The rules probably say that it's an indirect free kick but I think the punishment should fit the stupidity of the fans infringement. Going back to the beach ball thing, what's to stop loads of people bringing them to a game and throwing them all onto the pitch at once if they know that any goal which is scored after hitting one of them won't count
Yeah you’re definitely a Liverpool fan with that victim complex.. you did see the last clip? When Suarez wasn’t sent off for biting a player and scored in the last few minutes of the game?
Motson is well missed when i watch a game these days, Barry Davies too, will ever be my childhood coming of age football to adulthood voices within the game. Nowadays commentary suffers.
That would of been untimate liVARpool, getting a goal disallowed for a ball their own fans threw on the pitch. So glad the red allowed it and took one for the team
I still remember this match. Chelsea were poor also they wasn’t on there best performance at all. But shits happend, but the referee was wearing a sunglasses maybe. 3-4 clear red cards decisions were not made that ruined Chelsea’s game ! Walker, lamela, dier,Demble
