i wrapped the ring box in a ribbon like a little chrismas present, put it on the tree, waited until all the gifts had been opened, then i told her she had one last present to find on the tree, as she looked to find it, i got on one knee, she found the box turned around and i asked her to marry me! what a great way to end chrismas day 2012!

I will tell you between cooking christmas dinner for the inlaws-to-be, and getting the ring on the tree without her seeing, i was a nervous wreck, my grecian style cornish hens came out juicy and crispy, and i got the ring on the tree without her seeing, and she found it, WOW what i night, we both cryed a little when she found the ring!

Yeah, uh, rose petals, uh, creative, uh uh, go you, wooo hoo.

And you know, emotionally stable with reasonable expectations for the future and a mature outlook on life, relationships, etc. If they're happy and together, more power to them, nothing says it can't be good and this wasn't a special moment for both/all of them. But there are reasons people get that iffy look on their face when teenagers get engaged.

Yes, and it's actually smart to wait until you're older. You don't know what you want till you're older. And it doesn't hurt to wait until you have the money. They are young and could be getting married for reasons at their schools for benefits (I know many people who do) Statistics actually show that people who get married young are way more likely to divorce. Lots of people (especially people at religious schools) get married for the benefits.
