@@davemi00It causes a locally high water table and saturates crops and trees causing them to die. He doesn't take out dams randomly, he consults with local landowners and municipalities.

When that tiny trickle started on the upper right side I got nervous knowing what was to come. When you froze for that moment, I could tell you either felt, heard or saw something very wrong. Glad your guardian angel was working with you 😊

That was an unusually quick collapse. So glad you are safe. The amount of water unbelievable. Just know Post only wears thigh high waders. In the event he would not be prepared to move quickly enough. Stat safe! 👍

Yeah, you took out the bottom of that dam, which included several large logs. But I'm still astonished the amount of water that dam was holding back. Water level dropped 2/3s of a meter in five minutes and continued that pace for 15 min. That's a lot of water! Shows how efficient and effective beaver dam builds are. Thankfully, you got out of harms way in time! Stay dry😎🖖👽💗!

Always get a long straight stick (say 2m+), sharpen one end and then stick it quite deeply into the centre & top of the dam and as vertical as you can. Then just keep your eye on the top end of it as its movement will amplify any small movement in the top of the dam

What would be cool is if you could set up another camera further downstream so we can see the incoming torrent when the flow massively increases, just an idea 😊
