When I first came to work and live in Spain in 2005, I had an intermediate level of Spanish, despite having a Spanish mother and having passed the AS Level Spanish exam. I quickly found out the hard way how limited my Spanish language skills were. I had to learn fast and it hurt! Above all, it hurt my jaw and muscles in my face were aching for about 6 months! Regarding some classic gaffs in Spanish, there are some words that can cause outbursts of laughter if you use them incorrectly. I made the mistake to say: "me está echando un polvo" instead of "estoy hecho polvo". The word "polvo" can have a few interesting meanings...
2:13 I have a good trick to remembering the ñ, say the word in Spanish like you would say menu in English. It doesn’t have the ñ, but we pronounce it as if it does. 😊😅

@@patryruiz.En República Dominicana mi país si dices que estás "caliente " es que estás borracho. Especialmente si ven o estás en un lugar donde vendan bebidas alcohólicas. Si hace calor solo decimos "tengo calor".
