Your instructor tells you of how to do an emergency stop, and of hazards. I assume a lot of places that teach for licenses do that sorta thing.

@@lynternetShayne can barely feel/taste sour stuff. In Eat It Or Yeet It’s, Shayne has eaten food full of citric (and/or malic) acid and doesn’t flinch and can’t tell it’s there. His mouth is just dead with it. Sometimes he could taste something was slightly off but as soon as anyone else tried it they’d recoil and be horrified over Shayne’s sour tolerance.

That's what I'm saying! It's crazy. Some cast members seem a little weird to pair with each other. They'll like have fun of whatever but it's just not the same vibes but Angela? Angela not only has amazing vibes with every cast member but also the reserve cast, (Tommy, Spencer, Garrett), the now semi-rare casts (Olivia and Keith. For the floating water one, I’m a trained lifeguard and I did that for 3 years, I think that yes for sure you call out first and if you receive no response you go in, when drowning is concerned time and quick respond are key to both saving the persons life and preventing brain damage

Yes! Both of these are so important! Also, drowning is often quiet and difficult to spot. If you're untrained and without a floatation device then you can be easily drowned by the person you're trying to save panicking and climbing or clinging on you to get out of the water. But the guys should've had a dive marker up! They probably didn't have one and went, "Well, there's nobody here... It's fiiiine." Nope, mark your dive spot!

I once laughed so hard that my laugh turned into hyperventilating, then a panic attack within the span of like 3 to 5 minutes. While all this is happening, my family just stared at me hard-core, which then made me cry more and panic more. Then it turned into a heartfelt talk with my parents about my mental health and how bad it was. It made me so embarrassed the next day 😅

I (32m) met my best friend C (28nb) at work a couple of years back. Ever since, a lot of people have been teasing us about being together and we have always been shipped together. 42:14 to clarify the diving story: he had gear on and was floating with his face DOWN, watching the trainees do their drills underwater because he was the instructor. He was watching them but it would take a lot of effort to swim down with them to just observe because you automatically float so he just was watching with his face underwater. He probably wouldn't hear you. He wouldn't have been able to see them if he watched from above the water.

Lmao regarding the retail workers offering help, here's a tip to workers who want to offer help to ppl who clearly need it but might be too nervous to go through with it - I used to work at a bookstore where customers can be very self-reliant and shy, so I normally didn't like approaching them while they were browsing. However, whenever it did seem like they needed help, I was told to ask them "what are you looking for?" instead of "do you need help?" because the automatic response of "no, I'm good!" doesn't come as easily with the first option. Helped me get a bunch of customers feel comfortable sharing what they're looking for with me :>

I think that OP in the fifth story disrupting the drill is a good thing, as in - she added a variable of chaos. A lot can happen during underwater operation, including a civilian showing up unexpectedly. Also angela is right - there were no warnings about the drill. It's on the military.

During the pandemic, my friends and I zoomed pretty frequently and would collectively have the most unhinged backgrounds. One day we set our backgrounds as our celebrity crush and my friend put Hugh Jackman as her background. The next zoom we had, she informed us that she had a virtual interview and she entered the meeting with Hugh Jackman as her background because she forgot about it. The interviewer thankfully found it hilarious and she got the job.

I was driving down a pretty isolated country road and saw a truck pulled into the ditch on the side of the road. On my way back, the truck was still there (like an hour later). I pulled up and asked the driver if he needed help. In response he gave me a "wtf is wrong with you" look and said, "um, no??". It was then that I noticed it was an unmarked cop vehicle (black decal on black, in my area). Full on asked OPP if they needed help.. ugh.

So for the drowning one actually someone face up, quiet, treading water, can indicate the first stage of drowning. Most people do not do it like in the movies, all splashing and screaming. It's very important to be aware of these things, especially since Shayne drowned as a kid! PSA everyone, look up the stages of drowning and the correct actions you can take to help. Also edit to add: Foot guy needs to see a doctor

Yes that's true but I'm also pretty sure he was facing down watching the trainees do their drills or whatever underwater. She said a bunch of guys came up to the surface after and she didn't see them before so they were probably doing a test under the water and the instructor, to be able to get a good visual of them, had his head underwater to watch. It would be really really hard to see them if he was looking down from above the water, especially in a lake where the water isn't clear.

Shayne saying his automatic reaction to refuse help in stores is always fun for me as a retail customer assistant. You get to a point where you can spot the people who genuinely do need help, so when I offer, and they refuse it, I'll hover just out of eye line for a few seconds waiting for the ".... actually" from them. Happens probably 70% of the time

Omg, the second story brought back such a cringe memory. I worked at a really high end restaurant chain when I was 19, I was going up the lift and when I got out my manager and another man were coming towards me, the man raised both his arms like he was coming in for a hug. So I went to hug him back. Luckily I didn't have time to fully go in for it as he just fixed the collar on my shirt. Turns out it was the owner of the company 😅
