My dad was in the Air Force and was gone a lot. I was just a little girl but favorite memory is when my mom asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her all I wanted was my dad back home and I woke up a day before my birthday and my dad was home. I will never forget that these are our men and women that fight for us but please don’t forget about their families

It wasn't a deployment, but after graduating college, I moved 1300 miles from my family. I went home to surprise my grandparents on my birthday, I'm so happy I did because they both passed away in the next two years. I miss them so much.

shit that made my cry ,im 50 year old man from Norway,..reminds me when my dad was at sea and did come home after 9 months on a ship,,,when i was a kid..he was a sailorman..not army..he was always away 6mnd and longer ..so he was totaly away 23 years of my life.

I have several members of my family in the Military from Nieces and Nephews to my Son who just turned 18! Unfortunately I am 63 and probably won't be around to experience what they're experiencing with my Son so I do the best I can to not take the times I have with Him for Granted!

From a Navy Veteran, Thank You to all of our Military Personnel for everything that you do. One question to the people who make these videos. Why do you use the term "Soldier". I was not a Soldier. Most Navy Vets refer to themselves as Sailors. Most Marines would also complain to be called a Soldier. What is wrong with the term Military?

I wish the military would go back to not allowing utilities to be worn off base . I don’t know when this changed but when I was active it always was wear your class A uniform off base or civilian clothes .

I may be wrong but a lot of these could be returning from deployments and they wear their utility uniform on return flight then maybe be dismissed upon arrival and don't take time to change just get me to the flipping house 😊😊

FYI- Soldier = Army Marine = Marine Corps Sailor = Navy Airman = Airforce Coastgaurdsman or Costie = Coast Guard No idea what you call the Space Force These are NOT interchangeable, if you want to pay respects address them appropriately, Thank You to all who have, do, and will serve.
