Most Epic Battle in History of Games - The Battle Of Ragnarök: God of war Ragnarök

All in all, what precisely occurs toward the finish of the game? All things considered, collaborating with different armed forces from around the Nine Realms, Kratos acquires the battle to Odin's Asgard the last venture of God of War Ragnarök.
Thor shows up and has a major beat down with Kratos, just for Odin to kill Thor at last. This occurs after Thor and Kratos consent to quit battling, a move that appeared to break the prescience in which Kratos ought to have been passed on.
Odin is additionally killed, with Atreus choosing to trap Odin's spirit in one of his supernatural marbles. Sindri is as yet grieving the demise of Brok - who was killed by Odin before in the game, when the Allfather uncovered that he'd been taking on the appearance of Tyr from the beginning - so toward the end, Sindri makes a move to crush the marble and end Odin (apparently) for good.

What I truly appreciated about this whole final fight is the music. It doesn’t give a heroic tone of any sort, it makes you feel despair,sadness and tragedy. Yes they brought war to Asgard to put an end to the evil of Odin, but still war is ruthless and unforgiving. In the end, when war starts nobody ever wins, someone only loses less. And also winning this war still meant the complete destruction of a realm, which is horrendous obviously

What I found compelling about Odin's final words was that it almost sounded like he wasn't fully in control of himself. Not that he committed atrocities on accident, but more that he wasn't strong enough to overcome his obsession with knowledge. He knows that he will continue his evil if allowed to live, which is why it's merciful that he died. In my mind he was almost begging Atreus to kill him.
@vinceunknown1935

The way he said "I will never stop..." to Atreus was full of shame and regret because Odin cannot help himself.
@anxiousearth680
@anxiousearth680 Год назад
Perhaps, prophecy scared him. Mimir says that a lot of his rash decisions are driven by fear. The way he says "I had no choice" in a shell shocked tone at the end. And when he killed Brok, and then Thor. Both of these times, he says that he didn't plan on it happening. As if blaming the situation for forcing his hand. In a sense, he's a twisted mirror of Kratos and Atreus. If you saw your life happening exactly according to fate, no matter what you do, would you start questioning your agency? Or he's just a selfish prick that can't ever except responsibility.
@efaristi9737
@efaristi9737 Год назад
@@anxiousearth680 The mythologic Odin was indeed drived by fear, fear of the end of everything and he did everything he could to delay Ragnarok. But he knew he couldn't prevent it. Antique prophecies and Fate are not, like in the game, influencable. What is written will happen no matter what. That Odin doesn't have the same excuse, he choosed his fate. Not to mention that apparently, only Asgard was prophetised to be destroyed, Odin and the Aesir could have rebuilt somewhere else. A lot of his actions were unnecessary and unnecessarily cruels. I think the mythologic Odin would have less feared Ragnarok had he knew that the other realms, that something would survived and that their death weren't obligated.

They could have Sindri take his anger out on innocents wiping out entire villages and making them like his brother taking bits of their souls so that they have no afterlife as well. Just an idea but I think it would be very powerful to turn the most kind hearted and caring character in the last game into a absolute monster with the only way to stop him being to send him to Hel

39:47 Can I just say that in this play through you ended the fight with Thor on a perfect amount of health (I maintain that Thor and Kratos are on the same level of power and it’s really just a matter of who’s luckier or having the better day that decides who wins).

Ah yes, kratos is on the same level of power as thor Kratos : kills the whole greek pantheon in a single game, kills the titan cronos, kills ares, kills a damn goddess accidentaly Thor : can't beat his alcoholism, can't even beat a giant with a frost axe
@josephscott1292
@josephscott1292 Год назад
Alcoholism isn’t exactly an issue that can be hammered into oblivion. And might I remind you that he killed most of the Giants by himself- beings considered on par with the Titans. He may have failed to kill Faye, but her axe was designed to counter Mjolnir. And whilst she was spurred on by rage, Thor was drunk and this negatively impacted his fighting abilities. And we don’t know exactly how strong Faye personally was. But she was likely a formidable warrior if Brok and Sindri saw fit to make the Leviathan Axe for her.

He's not even close, kratos handled him with ease. If he'd meant to hed have killed him the first time they met. Even bloodlusted kratos subdued him quickly and Thor even asked him why he was waiting to kill him when he clearly could have. Thor is more akin to Hercules than kratos.

The game does a great job hiding his sociopath nature but the best part is when Thrud sees Odin killing her dad and blaming Kratos it's plainly clear that he's a manipulative liar who was caught in the act. I thought it was kinda lame that they just appeared so close to the wall after walking through the Asgard gateway where as other forces seemed to come out of the gate which corresponds to that specific realm. I thought it would've been cool to mow down a seemingly endless hoard down that long narrow stretch on Týr's bridge like the battle at the hot gates similar to the 300 Spartans which was referenced in Alfiem. It would've been cool if you actually got to fight alongside your own army compiled of the undead from Helhiem as well as both light and dark elves at your side and eventually end up at the base of the wall. It seemed like our time in Asgard with Kratos was rushed and didn't get to see how the alliances we built throughout the game with each character could have had their own little badass cut scene and part to play which allows further progress towards bringing down the wall
