Me quitting my job: I just promoted myself to customer

I once had a coworker that gave our manager a “sorry for you loss” card

My boss would always come into work 4 to 5 hours late (3rd shift) because she never needed to clock in and she made it look like she was working all night when the big 1st shift bosses came in. She was rude to all employees and just a terrible person. I was a foreman under her and I had enough. Prior to me quiting, I recorded her attendance for a year (late = .5 points, absent all day 1 point) and when I quit, I sent out an email to EVERYONE from HR, all Bosses to the owner of the company showing every day she was late or absent and her point total was 25.5 and at 3 point a person could be fired. Needless to say after I quit I heard that she was demoted to 2nd shift where she HAD to come in on time to see the bosses and she was put back on the floor. Revenge never felt so sweet.

I knew a guy who worked as a janitor in a school that was constantly run down and belittled by the teachers.On his last day of work, he removed all of the toilet paper from all of the dispensers in the teachers bathrooms.They were not happy about it when they found out the hard way on the following Monday.

What about the news reporter quoting her job on air? “F this. I quit.”

Whenever I quit a job I never gave a 2 week notice. They don't give you a 2 week notice when they fire you.

During a training I had, a guy told me that at an old job, one of the employees there was mad, and took a heavy duty forklift and took his boss' work truck and put on on top of the office. He then threw the keys into the forest and quit on the spot. The boss got there an hour later, obviously mad, and had to put everything on hold until the replacement keys could be obtained... 3 hours later!

My friends coworker asked everybody if they could lend him $20, and then immediately quit. He walked away with a ton of cash, and they never saw him again.

I once resigned in a letter that was overly flowery and told the upper management that I was tired of being harassed by office staff and was not paid for 3 months. Thing is, while it looked flowery I went in on all of the direct managers and all the laws they broke at the job (company highly regulated by government). The managers mentioned all were saying what I said was sweet and their bosses ended up calling me and it ended up with a mass firing of the managers and a legal investigation of the company. Mainly quit for moral reasons, money was an issue too, but they had begun to pay me again before this happened

I once worked for a fish-themed fast-food chain and witnessed the manager drop an entire tray of uncooked fish on the floor, pick it back up, and still use it. I proceeded to go across the street, on my lunch break to a major fast-food burger chain to apply for a new job. I explained what just happened and how I can't work for a place like that and was hired immediately. I went back and threw my uniform at the manager and said very loudly "I QUIT!" I then called the health inspector on them resulting in them shutting down for a few weeks and the manager being fired.

Speaking about marching bands, I saw this one video on RU-vid when a guy quit his job with his marching band friends. I am also in my high school marching band as well.

I used to work for Aldi, my manager was horrible. She always scheduled me for full days on weekends even though it was the only time I could see my son. I got sick of it so I went for a job interview. I got the job and they wanted me to start the next day. I told them I had to work a weeks notice at Aldi. I Got back to work after my interview to find my manager had re scheduled my shift once again, so I was working the weekend that she was meant to be doing. So instead of working my notice I just quit right there and then. I took my work shirt off (I had a t shirt on under) and chucked it right in her face. She demanded I come back finish my Shift. Obviously I didn’t do this and proceeded to write out my resignation letter which read “Dear Managers name. I quite with immediate effect, enjoy working the weekend” Then i went home. Never looked back. Love my new job which I have now been in for almost 4 years. The pay is over double what I was getting at Aldi and the hours are so much better.

I plan to quit my job soon. Favorites has become a thing and I wasn't chosen for more responsibilities even though I do better than the chosen employee. I planned to move on anyway because my current position is only temporary until I find my previous one again. Choose me or loose me. No if, ands, or buts.

reminds me of my experience handling my resignation paper to the hr head...and she was just there cutting her fingernails and then just nods and only just doesn't seems to care....guess having a mass resignation would really dull you, huh...never return to being a teacher again...

I've quit in way more epic ways than this. When I was 26 I spent over a year trying to get fired. I was a supervisor over all the contractors in an automotive plant, so I turned in all their time cards and.... My own. Got paid at least an extra 16-20 hrs a week. They never caught on so 14 months later I quit
