I agree, thank you for sharing the different sized models when showing your hauls. Models who are 5'9 and above and wear a size 2, look great no matter what. The real test is seeing clothes on different sized models, all shapes and sizes. Great video. Thank you.
I appreciate the diversity in sizes and styles being shown. I’m 5’1”, and I prefer ones that are comfortable and aren’t too “out there” with their style.
Shorter women start to look like a rectangular ‘box’ when we wear baggy or larger pants. Those styles are cute but best suited in most cases to a taller person.
So happy you are showing us some great MID-RISE jeans - as I get older simply cannot do the high rise! And a big thank you as did order the Old Navy straight fit jeans you both had on at end of video!
I like your approach, we don’t have to follow every trend, we should choose what suits us. I still can’t get my head round cropped jeans and ankle boots 😂
I like this pairing with form fitting flared jeans if the pants are long enough to cover top of the ankle boots when standing or walking, and top of the boot only shows when seated. But I'm 5'3" 112 lbs with a slender build and not short legged, can't even wear petite clothes because my arms and legs are too long.
I'm totally with you Christina on the skinny jeans! I hear all these other influencers saying they are dated and going out of style, and I completely disagree. I'm 5'3 and they just look the best on me. They are also very comfortable and you don't have extra fabric to mess with! Love my skinny jeans!💕 I might try some of the other styles you ladies showed here. I liked the flare jeans, they were very flattering!
I'm 5'3" too and skinny jeans look great on me. But I can't wear petite sized pants or long sleeve tops because my arms and legs are about an inch too long, even though I'm not short waisted. I once needed crutches for a broken foot and the fitting person became frustrated, he said "this should've taken less than 5 minutes but it's been 15 and I still can't figure out what's wrong with your proportions!" 🤣
Jeans, jeans and more jeans. I love my jeans. Thank you for styling and showing all there is out there. You, ladies, are amazing. You brought the jeans to another level. Have a fantastic week. Cheers!❤️
Years ago, a friend dragged me in to AE and made me try on some of their Jean's and I was SO HAPPY I did. I ended up with a flare leg style and a relaxed ankle style. I'm 5 ft tall and was thrilled they had short lengths. I got rid of the flare leg jeans during a Covid purge but I'll purchase them again because they were amazing! Thanks for reminding me
I was staying away from bootcut and flares since they didn't look that great the last time they were in style. I'll be checking out the ones that you showed. Last week, I tried on some wide leg jeans as well as a pair of 90s jeans that are a bit wide and I bought them both. I loved how they looked. This coming from someone who has only worn skinny jeans for years. I just bought my first pair of white sneakers as well.
First time commenter, Love all your videos, your energy is so refreshing. Can you please tell us the name of the ONjeans--the dupe for AG jeans. Link only takes to the main ON page. Thank you!!
My daughter and I stumbled on Kelli’s Super Flare #2 outfit jean at AE yesterday, they are buy one get one 50% off this weekend. They were sooo good! She got 3 pair and I got 1 (I haven’t even attempted to wear a pair of AE jeans in years because they were way too teenager looking to me until these came along)! So flattering and I LOVE the stretch! Also fully agree on the comments about the length! They are designed to be worn with sneakers or platform sneakers (all their marketing photos by the display showed then this way. I normally wear wedges or ankle boots with a little heel so I got long (I usually wear regular). My daughter will wear hers with high tops so she got regular and they’re perfect! I may be getting another pair of these gems - they’re that good!
Loved the video. On one of your last jean videos you mentioned how you could just cut off the bottom of the leg if they were too long--you were showing this style of jeans with the raw hem. I was in Walmart last week and saw a pair of jeans in my size, raw edge on the bottom, Time & True high rise, flare style on the clearance rack. I picked them up for a mere $7.00 took them home and they look like a million bucks!! Thanks for the comment on the raw edge jeans, I would not have tried these without your suggestions!! I love a bargain!!!
I'm only part way in & loving it! Would you ladies mind giving your measurements and Size worn - and even weight if it's not too personal? It's so hard to tell how tall/thin someone is on video but at 5'2" I NEED to know! Thanks!!
Thank you for this post! After watching this video I went to American eagle and and then to old navy tried on all the styles that you showed and oh my gosh!! The flare genes in in old navy Are fantastic I purchase 2 pair just 1 pair black and the dark navy they fit fabulous I am 5' 5"and a 145 pounds The sizes run a bit large Size 6 regular is which size fit perfect on me
I’m SO glad I clicked on this video with my morning coffee:) I too have been searching for flare jeans that will fit my petite frame! I immediately clicked on the link and it took me to our Canadian AE AND they were on sale for $45 CDN AND I had a $5 coupon so I scooped them up for $40 - plus free shipping! THANK YOU bella! And I typically love AE jeans - they are such a great fit and super comfy! It’s a win win 🥰 Happy weekend 💕 Xo 🇨🇦
Great job ladies, jeans are exhausting to shop for! But when you find a brand or store that works for you, stick with it. My faves are the brand Liverpool and from White House Black Market, Loft and Old Navy. I’m 5’9” and wear either 10 or 12 for reference. I ❤️ jeans, such a variety of styles and washes in my wardrobe 😃
I find that some high-rise jeans fit me like a mid-rise. I love the sky-high or ribcage jeans as they fit my long torso better. Love American Eagle and Old Navy jeans!
I agree. I'm actually short waisted but I still find that the high rise aren't as high as they once were and actually fit more mid-rise so I love the ultra high rise now.
I pretty much wear all kinds of jeans. all year round, no matter the trends. i like to have variety that suits whatever outfit I plan to wear at any given moment.
Good job👍🏻😄. I still go to my skinny jeans even though I have a bootcut, wide leg/ high waisted. I just feel better plus I love to show my foot wear.. Fall is a great season for fashion. The leaves are already falling here in Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 have yourselves a beautiful Sunday xx
Thank you so much for the in-depth research for that favorite pair of jeans. I have just ordered the last pair of jeans you featured from Old Navy. Fingers crossed they fit me. I've had really good luck with the Target brand Universal Threads brand.
Ladies, thank you so much for all your jean research. Wow, trying on ~50 pairs of jeans kind of exhausts me to think about 😂 Christina, I also love my skinny jeans! I've branched out to other styles as well, but my skinnies are still faves. Kelli, some of my favorite jeans are from American Eagle! They are great quality for the price. I live in jeans most of the year so this video was perfect, thanks to both of you and have a great week💕
They are my absolute favorite! I would recommend ordering the regular and the petite and trying them with both your flat shoes and a heeled shoe. I found that at 5'3 I can wear the regular length with absolutely every shoe in my closet. That never happens!
Hi Ladies, thank you for the jean video. It is so exhausting to try on jeans, I have several pair hanging in my closet that I have hardly worn and they just are not that soft, I reach for my skinny jeans every time. I do need another pair so thank you for all that you guys do.🌷🌷
My, Ladies...your hard work did yield the best results ...I have been following you for a few years now and I pay close attention...I must say that these jeans that you found this time fit you both perfectly, everywhere...trust and believe...the third ones with the seams on Christina- 5 stars. My favourite on Kelli-Old Navy ones.
I actually just watched your video on what to look for in jeans from a year ago yesterday. Inspired me to try on my jeans from my closet which lead to a whole closet purge! Love the jean choices and I already owned the Old navy OG in white!! 😀 Ive gotta admit I havent given them a chance yet. Btw, im trying to embrace the pointy toe and bought a pair of mules but had to size up and now they feel almost too big in the toe area. Any suggestions on how to find my correct size? I am usually an 8-81/2 but my feet are wide. Thanks ladies!! I look forward to all your videos each week! 💕
Cathy gave a great suggestion. You could also try sizing up to a 9 but not getting it in a wide. That might help if using a foot pad doesn't do the trick.
Great video! I love that you both landed on the same pair of jeans! What are the chances??? When I click the link, it just takes me to Old Navy. Could I get the specific name or link of the jean?
Not sure what is going on with the link. It is working on our end. Here it is again. Hope this works. High Rise Straight Jeans (10Petite): rstyle.me/+Uml1afLgqUDVrxv2DelJxA
Now that is the million dollar question! lol. Of course we own way too many because of what we do here on RU-vid but I would suggest owing a pair you can wait with flats and sneakers casually, a pair that works with your boots and heels and I love to have a super high waisted pair for wearing with cropped shirts so that no skin shows. However, some pairs of jeans may work with all of these things. It really depends on your lifestyle and how you like to dress.
Hi Ladies! I just have to say that I bought the high wasted A&E jeans and I absolutely love them! I am a 4 petite and I did go with the short because I am only 5’. I know most people like high rise, but I don’t. They usually don’t flatter my body, but these do! I’m so happy I found you guys, although my wallet isn’t 😂. I am looking forward to the chunky loafers that I think you said are forthcoming? Oh, I also got a really cute white sweatshirt from a&e that has some flowers embroidered that I saw on another influencer and it’s super cute!! Xoxo
Yay! So glad you loved them as much as I did! I actually had both of my daughters try them too and even though we each have different body types they worked for all 3 of us. They are so flattering! And yes, chunky loafers have been ordered and I'm hoping they're as good as I think they will be.
Could you recommend something not too expensive, not too friendly? Something like Ann tylor, loft, banana republic et al. Target clothes can last long enough?
I think American Eagle is a great middle of the road brand for denim even though on sale they are extremely inexpensive but the quality is very good. Also, Express makes excellent mid-priced denim.
I tried high waisted jeans only last summer, my very first time ever. I fell in love for my summer look with tank tops and fitted tshirt , but later in the fall something started to feel off. I could not quite understand what it was, until i realized that my bulkier autumn/winter tops just didn't go well with the high waist. The high rise jeans simply made everything look to bulk and gave me 10 chilos more 😅😅😅 I switched back to my midrise jeans, and everything was good looking again🥰 So, lesson learned about rises: for me, high rise only with sleek tighter tops, for all the others a mid rise is way more flattering for me
Hey Ladies! Great video but I don't think you actually put a name to your favorite pair of Jeans, at end of video!-- even backed up twice to see if i missed it! Could you share?! 🙂
They are straight leg jeans. Everything is linked in the description box but here is the link. High Rise Straight Jeans (10Petite): rstyle.me/+Uml1afLgqUDVrxv2DelJxA
Love those American Eagle jeans ! Thanks for doing all that trying on.. jeans are the hardest thing to try on..go have a yummy dessert 🍨 you worked for it!💞
For the AG dupe, I must need to just search 'high rise straight jeans' at Old Navy? Because every time I click the link it just takes me to the Old Navy homepage.....
Thank you for the video. However I’m from Canada and your links for Old Navy seem to default to the main page for the Canadian site so could you possibly post the full name of the jeans so I could find them? Thanks 🙂
Hi ladies, i'm struggling to find that last pair of jeans that you showed. When i click on the link it just goes to ON but not to the pair of jeans and there are so many that go by highwaisted straight. Can you provide a more direct link?
Not sure what is going on with the link. It is working on our end. Here it is again. Hope this works. High Rise Straight Jeans (10Petite): rstyle.me/+Uml1afLgqUDVrxv2DelJxA
I’m 50 and am really glad skinny jeans are a way I can dress ‘age appropriately’. Meaning the teens and 20 yos aren’t wearing them so it doesn’t look as though I’m trying to look young, he he. I have weak veins so the are comfortable for me in the same way as compression stockings would be, lol and they are much more flattering. I hate the way loose fitting jeans look & feel now.
Are we back to matching shoes to purse? I've noticed more outfits matching but prior fashion advisors were saying it was too "matchy matchy"and the purse should be a different pop of color.
It's definitely ok to match the shoes and bag in the same tone but also perfectly on trend not to match them too. A big no no is matching the designer logos like having the Gucci bag with the matching Gucci shoe...
@@MommiesMakeupAndMoscato Great! We have options. It can be difficult to find exact matches. I remember when shoes and purse had to match and panty hose(80's)had to match the dress or skirt. Glad that we aren't doing that anymore. Thanks for the reply 🙂
Great video! Can you please specify the style name of the jeans in outfits 5 and 6?! Canadian girl, here…. When I click on the link it says ‘page cannot be found’. Thanks for the inspiration!
Can you share the link for the AG dupes? I am not seeing the links. Also, you ladies rock! Keep it all coming. I enjoy the video’s and look forward to them. Jealous you are in Fla, though. Wish i was.
So interesting. I tried your ON links from my phone a bunch of times without success, but it worked perfectly when I clicked from my laptop. I ordered them! They were not available in any stores near me and I'm in Chicago (which I always think of as retail heaven).
@@MommiesMakeupAndMoscato hi for me your link here and in description just takes me to Old Navy home page, can you name the jean? Or just search by your title?
I have the same problem. I do know that the rise can be 9 inches or 11 inches so I’m gonna look into the shorter rise that’s still technically a high-rise
Do any of you plus size ladies have the problem that the higher you go in the plus size numbers the less likely they are to offer a petite or shorter length? The website recommended a size 24 for me. I normally wear a 22. But it isn’t offered in petite length and I know that I will not take the effort to have them hemmed because I live in a small town and it’s just a pain finding someone. I guess my question is for anyone that has try these jeans is it worth getting them even if they’re not the ideal length I want? Are they comfortable enough up top? I’ve tended to stay away from high waisted jeans because I have a large stomach but I’m willing to try them as long as the rise isn’t too terribly high.
