@@ericazahn9689 Borat has no Kazakhstani traits or behavior also. He just picks a vague concept and runs with it. Im more into his imagination than accuracy.
His german is shit. It is Jude not Juda. He should have but more money in a language chouch. His accent is so bad, it hurts in my ears. Such a bad Impression. He sayes ädolf but it is Adolf, so clearly a brit ass with no knowlage of the german language. He sayes everything english and nothing german ugh aweful actor.
@@ericazahn9689 I speak fluent German and yea it is pronounced as You da in some dialects, Yo den in other. Either way he said it right. You’re probably one of those people who thinks that Hitler was German.
As an Austrian it seems some pronunciations stem rather from Germany. For instance the constant "Isch" instead of I. No one uses "Isch" in Austrian German. Rather the normal "Ich" or just "I" (but in German). To my knowledge in Germany you use "ich", "ik", "isch" when talking depending on the region. But apart from the dialect it was a stellar performance
His maternal grandmother, Liesel (née Levi), lived in Haifa and trained as a ballet dancer in Germany before fleeing the Nazis in 1936. His grandmother may have been from Berlin. Hummel Hummel
When he's asked about Sacha Baron Cohen playing Borat it's amazing how this character is so different and you would never know it's the same guy! Brilliant transformation.
Ha ha ha, he’s a comedian and this interview is somewhat scripted to ensure he can trot out his jokes, many of which you will hear him use elsewhere. It’s brilliant but it’s not “off the cuff”.
I only knew Aladeen from Dictator, then i came to know about Borat, then AliG, and then Bruno. And in each character, he was simply UNRECOGNISABLE. SASHA BARON COHEN is a genius actor...
You don't actually know that Sacha wrote those questions, nicknames of "people" asking those questions and of course his answers. He's a comedian, you can hear him using those jokes in other occasions.
@@paulg6274 yeah maybe. It’s still genius. Most of his work was unscripted, proven by the fact that some interviewees very much regretted what was said 😆
I've seen all this before and it's an old video, but I think Sasha Baron Cohen is the funniest comedian alive, absolute genius, brilliant stuff, nobody knows how to push the envelop like him, NOBODY, hahahahhaha the accent he uses and the way he uses words is just frickin killer, hahahha damn, to meet this guy would be a damned dream .
The interviewer actually probably knew who he was since this was his promo tour, I heard from someone he generally tells interviewers to pretend as if the character is real if they want the inteview to work better. Seems like the guy understood the assignment lol. He generally doesn't hide who he is for the promos because he's already got the movie ready.
The movie came out around 2009 right? I could not wait to show the movie to a girl I was dating if she had never seen it. Its funny cause it seems every girl has a gay friend or relative who they see as a version of Bruno.
This comedic genius can go from being from Kazakhstan to Austrian. He doesn't do almost to the knuckle, he drills into it! Pushes the boundaries to extreme but in the name of exposing human bias. X
(Austrain like an american would think an Austrian is) To any german speaker, this doesnt even sound close to an austrian. he does try his best though.
I know Sasha went to Cambridge...Definitlely a smart guy...But it blows my mind how he comes with this type of complex, immediate jokes while in character, and the most ridiculous characters. Amazing!
I started dying of laughter the first minute in. The way he interacted with the interviewer was pure cringe/comedy genius. No idea how he keeps a straight face.
>one night with Bruno and he will be "Ach ja" Majennidad I'm sure they got this by translating "Oh, yes!" but it doesn't work in German because "Ach ja" actually is an expression of boredom, the opposite of the excited "Oh, yes!". So Austrian Bruno wouldn't say that. (If he could really speak the language)
definitely not clickbait ... I've literally seen Bruno's face for a few seconds at the very beginning of the interview and I already need to hold myself together to not roll on the floor laughing lol
