There are many fighter groups in MMA that are dislike far more than any other. In this video i have 4 different groups of fighters that are specifically disliked by alot of MMA fans. Let me know your thoughts on them
@@standardFifajustin gaycheese, soyrier… did strickland deserve a title shot off abus 😂 leon did wait just like colby. sean o malley of petr yan? pereira got ko’d stiff bounced his head off the canvas and he was one fight away from a title shot. everyone gets underserved title shot

@@Polar-pencilshowing no heart again when things are not going his way just like years ago before he was on that champ streak. This is why people who actually saw him fight before becoming known amongst casuals were saying this about him. You can't simply get rid of that
@@gustavonother919 People in olivera's camp as well as everyone's camp juice. Brazilians and Russian in general juice the most especially in the ufc. So you cheering for a potential juicer still.
I can't stand that guy. I'm not saying you have to be an athlete to have an opinion on sports. I'm saying I don't want to hear about sports from a slovenly obese dude.
@@moonvenerable7897beat all his favorites + he’s terribly afraid of grapple heavy matches as his father used to pin him to the ground and fat shame him
Dagestanis don't have "boring personalities", they are just respectful martial artists and don't start beefs all the time. Thats the way a martial artist should behave
@@nafikos6450 Anyone who has done Judo, Karate etc. is a martial artist. Most of the dagestani guys have done Judo before. In the Karate dojo I used to go to, you were stripped of all your belts if you ever started a fight or did a crime for example
@@boonamai8926 If you fight full contact for money and try to knock the other guy out you are a fighter. I like to differentiate between fighter and martial artist. A fighter is a person who fights, martial artist is someone who practices martial arts without applying them in a real situation
Theyre literal Ivan Dragos, fed steroi- sorry... "VITAMINS" all thru their childhood, bred and groomed to be this person since 2 yrs old. It just makes the sport boring. Nobody likes to see an awesome story like Charles title reign get halted by a guy who couldn't even do his own post fight interview and Khabib had to do it for him. They're not bad guys but they are objectively very boring compared to everyone else
As if dagestani fans know that lol, lets be honest 99% are annoying and delusional and they keep saying bs like "khabib would beat jon jones" or "khabib beats mayweather in a boxing match" theh dont even know the different weight classes
Conor is an unpredictable one. He retired three times and punched an old guy at a pub, then went on to fight a washed Cerrone, then got beat by Poirier twice, broke his leg, went on steroids, came back for chandler but postponed many times, all while calling out every one from Anderson Silva in mma, Mike Perry in bare knuckle, and Jose Aldo in boxing making fake news for everybody
Seriously though that Cerrone fight should've happened back in 2016 when both of them were in their primes. Tbh Cerrone probably would've taken him down and subbed him within 2 rounds. Prime Cowboy was absolutely no joke
And what's with his consecutive upweight callouts? "Hey yu champ of WW I smash brotha" "Hey yu champ of MW I smash yu eeizy' " Yu LHW champ, I finish smesh only one round" What the heck is this guy social media game lmaooo
Being respectful is considered a boring personality in this game while being a complete ass hole will get you praise by the crowd, that's honestly speak volume of society.
Some people call Umar Nurmagomedov "boring" ? What planet do they live on ? Seriously... Him & his brother are probably the most advanced strikers there is in MMA. I don't think we should call Makhachev "boring" after his last perofrmances vs Oliveira & Volk. Performance of the night & fight of the night, back to back to back. Finished his last 6 opponents. Even Saïd Nurmagomedov is breaking necks left & right... His Ninja Choke is deadly. They're clearly not the most charismatic guys, but you can't have everything. Some are made for the media, some are not.
@HellBlazerMNE07 I was talking for the lighter weight classes. Umar's kicking game is world class. And i don't see a lot of guys throwing spinning wheel kicks the way Usman does. O'Malley is primarly a boxer. He's got no kicking game. No legs under him whatsoever... WTF are you talking about ? Pereira got the touch of death with his left hand, but i don't remember him throwing a head kick, either in MMA or kickboxing. Edwards got a lot of casuals jumping in his bandwagon after his headkick against Usman. Funny how the tables have turned...I thought Edwards was just a basic, boring point fighter with no chin, no cardio and no wrestling...
I don't think Dagestani fighters are hated because of their style, it's just the casual crying all over because the fighters won't fight according to their style, or maybe because they beat all their favourite fighters.
Honestly, they're mostly hated because of their fanbase. They're the only mma fans who keep mentionning how their religion makes them better people than the rest of us. That's the annoying part
@@philtess3126 even worse the kabib was so dominant and is the goat people, yes he was but what about anderson what was it 16 unbeaten with most of them being defences, they truely are the worst
@@aminyashed6824 yea the mental gymnastics these people go through in order to have khabib as the undisputed goat is retarded. Khabib had 7 fights at most against great opponents. The rest of his career was just record padding.
facts then on top of that they fight once a year leon edwards is a prime example but like hoppero said middle weight is simply stacked with too many contenders and leon isnt a big draw outside of the uk so i don’t see him fighting for double champ status anytime soon
@@Polar-pencilwhy do muslims always instantly go for the " but when conor did this/that" defence? Conor messed up 2 divisions with his bullshit and we dont want other people doing the same. Is that so hard to understand?
The majority of mma fans going into a women’s fight think it’s going they are going to be boring as hell, and unfortunately they usually are, there’s only a few good female fighters in the ufc
It's trash like hw and mw for me. The only excuse it gets is it hasn't been around that long so it gets a SLIGHT pass, but man they fight like heavyweights without the power. Some of them are good, but then they have Kevin lee iq in the middle of fights.
Its pretty much the same as Flyweight, in fact - kinda embarrassigly women's MMA finish rate is a good bit higher than men's flyweight. Most ppl have always treated Flyweight as the break or 'skip' card when its the main event, it kinda only changed very recently after DJ left and became popular that suddenly ppl started to like Flyweight even though - most still don't watch it.
The only times I rooted against Islam is whenever he fought against Oliveira and Volk. Other than that, I always root for him. Glad to see him at the top
I gained a lot of respect for Mokaev after he nearly had his leg ripped off by Filho and still managed to choke him out. He's fun to watch, very fast and technical.
Wmma is criminallly underrated. It just has a smaller talent pool. When its bad, its rlly bad, but when the fighters are good, they are some of the best man or women.
@gabrielchaves4822 Hate is a strong word. The guy is untested on the feet and didn't try hard to submit Lewis on the ground, so... I am on the fence with that guy.
I wouldn’t blame Wrestlers for using their advantages. But if the opponent is unable to get up and the Wrestler doesn’t go for submission attempts or Ground and Pound and decides to just lay on Top of him for the whole Fight I can completely understand the hate, because they obviously have the options to do more damage to the opponent and make the Fight for interesting
I’d say another should be annoying/cringe fighters like Henry Cejudo, Ian Gary, Izzy. When a fighter has one of their personalities people hate them. Not me personally but MMA community don’t..
Yal may not like the Dagestan fighters but yal can’t lie and say 9/10(we all know who doesn’t go on that list)are really good, you can get mad at them for using that fighting style when it dominates and still does to this day
i know they're known for their wrestling because of khabib, but even each one of them have different style, personally i think zabit was the best style
All though I do agree with most Female fighters being boring. The greats that are constantly being put on main cards are criminally underrated. The fact that most people do not have Amanda Nunes anywhere near the top 5 greatest ufc fighter of all time is weird for me. No one else has done what she’s done.
Its pretty easy not to include Nunes as a top 5 greatest UFC fighter, because there's so many other male fighters better than her. She ruled over two of the worst divisions in the UFC period, one of which has no rankings to speak of, it's not that impressive.
the thing is that womens fights are either boring or cringe inducing (usually both but let me finish) because best case scenario (a "good fight") you are watching 2 women destroy each others uterus such that if they ever have a kid its going to have a profoundly higher chance of birth defects / some sort of mental retardation, that combined with the fact that the baseline for being interesting is not even close to the same level, because in general we don't actually see what i've just gone over, we see anti climatic staring contests going to decision most of the time. the average mma fighter who is male, pro or not pro, would beat amanda nunes in a fight, and so that is the primary answer to your question, and that fact makes what I initially described, in my opinion, not worth it. it's an unwritten rule for men to not assault women because of the fact that they simply arent built to take damage
Barring the woman’s bantamweight division WMMA actually isn’t that bad when it comes the top contenders. The strawweight division been holding it down with bangers like Joana vs Weili, Rose head kicking the shit out of Weili after that, Andrade can be a problem when she wants to, Suarez looking decent too Grasso subbing Valentina was the first “what the actual fuck” moment we had this year, followed by Sean starching Aljo and Strickland 50-45ing Adesanya. The woman’s flyweight division is heating up for the first time with Erin and Manon lurking at the top of the division. Hell even Thug Rose has made the move up from strawweight to mix things up. I haven’t even mentioned Natlia Silva who is just an absolute monster of an up and coming contender, plus there’s Talia Santos who has nasty hands… the woman’s 125 division is currently shark infested waters
@kaleolll5374 👍 I really don't understand what's the point of women mma. mma and women mma should be separated, no one likes watching women sports. There's a reason no one watches women nba or women's football.
@@akritasdigenis4831 Women's college basketball playoffs have triple the average viewership of the NHL playoffs : ) Women also have about six of the top twenty PPV cards in the UFC, despite only really being around since 2013.
I discovered your channel this last week and tbh I love the format that you use for your videos!! Keep that good content men your effort is priceless :)
Pena is terrible. I used to be a fan, but her main gimmick is beating Amanda. She's so delusional that she believes she deserves a 3rd fight even tho she got her ass handed to, and booed when Amanda retired because she was "scared" of Pena. The UFC should never give her another title shot unless she absolutely deserves it.
I understand disliking the dagis for their style but in terms of their attitude they are my favorite type of fighter. Disciplined and dedicated people, pure martial artists
huge L for the female disrespect too these women go in without a drop of the testosterone and bone density that men possess which makes female fighters even more admirable in my book since they are not made to be fighters it is even more badass in my opinion
Ok seriously womens MMA is UNDERRATED AND UNDER APPRECIATED!!!! To be fair not all womens fighters are the most exciting but alot of them are awesome!! The womens flyweight division is stacked and has a lot of exciting fighters in it like Maycee Barber, Manon Fiorot and Erin Blanchfield. Oh and those two girls with the last name silva that broke into the rankings are awesome also. Womens MMA is still growing and its getting better and better every year i think people need to appreciate these hard working women more!
The thing about that is, if you pool all of womens mma from all organizations there is only about 10 women in each weight class that have any actual real skill in mma. And a lot of times they only have 1 aspect of mma they are skilled in. It’s a bizzare phenomenon because the GOAT for womens MMA is a fighter that has brawling esk striking with power. And has decent jiu Jitsu and wrestling. I kid you not there is probably a million Men that have fight records or just train to hone there skills that have the exact same skill set. I don’t know why it is but it’s the reality of women’s mma.
@@emectric1455 Not really dude. Both of their champions would lose to the current UFC champions and the top 3 in their divisions (115 and especially 125).
@@ParkerlishusI actually agree with y , a women myself, biologically speaking men are built to fight more than us, maby that's why wer lacking in this area , also every month wer obliged to take a break depending on how much she's planning to play a tantrum wich kind of break the whole cycle of discipline and focus that we try our best to stick to it, my words are by no mean to reduce the value of women, I just stated a personal opinion (trying to avoid a useless war...)
I think most MMA fans are like regular people, not very sharp and jumping on hate bandwagon. So if some more famous MMA channel starts hating on a fighter some of the fans will do the same.
@@HellBlazerMNE07 at least MMA fans didn't create an industry selling corn drawing out of their favorite character. Just imagine that by MMA fans is cringe next level
I think when it comes to Dagestani fighters, it's kinda tough, at first i was a fan of Conor, then came Khabib, defeated him in such humiliating way... i hated that day, conor was never the same after that, but then out of nowhere i discovered Charles after he fought chandler, i was like finally a fighter who has it all, and he was amazing, i became a fan, watched him destroy both Poirier and Justin in a fabulous way, but than came Islam, outstriked, outgrappled, R2 submission... it was unbearable to watch, but then volk... he won against volk twice... even knocking him out R1!! Tf. I think that's bigger factor... I don't think he's boring at all and definitely not a khabib clone, the guy has so much style... it's just him and khabib they ruined my favourite fighters. But all this aside, recently i kinda like Islam, idk man, i think he's awesome, i genuinely tried to find a reason to hate him and the closest i got is his substance accusations, but then i realised that almost every fighter does that, so yeah, there's nothing to hate about Makhachev the guy is Fing awesome
0:51 They’re supposedly dominant, but in the UFC, only two have ever held a belt, and it was the same belt, at two separate times. I’ve been hearing “Dagestanis are the best” for ten years now.
That is the thing that he did not mention intentionally, those dagestani have more views on youtube to their fights and their interviews than 90% of the ufc fighters including the champs today. And people talking about khabib being boring espically in his early fights I mean, look into his fight with RDA,barboza and Micheal johnson. .. pure adrenaline rush of scary ground striking and wrestling while talking to his opponent while beating him or talking to dana between round..
@@ahmadalmhadeen3526 It is not even a good strategy. It only works because of the rules and regulations the fighters have to follow. Remove some of those dumb rules that dont make sense and that wrestling style is useless.
@@froglifes6829 -You want ground knee the head -Knee opponents on the head that their knee touching the ground -eye pokes -groin strike -12 to 6 elbow -punches and elbows to the back of the head I don't remeber what else but even if they removed 1 or all of those, wrestling will never be useless and wrestlers will have more options to literally excute their opponent with scrumble postion knee to the head, back of the head punches on back mount postion, side mount knee to the head and many others moves. That wrestling style is not usless in fact it is limited to more dangerous things.
@@ahmadalmhadeen3526 No. UFC rules benefit wrestlers. For example: Elbowing the back when they are hugging you = banned picking them up and smashing them into the ground = banned kicking them when they are "down" aka just low on the floor = banned
@@froglifes6829 1-picking them and smacking them to the ground is banned how ? 2- do you think anybody could get free from habib and habib still on the ground waiting to get kicked ? And do you think they could even break free and stand ? 3-elbowing their back could only happen in case of a single-double leg takedown but in clinch wrestling it will not work infact if the wrestler went behind him with back-lock take down to back mount.. he will be the one doing it on his opponent which will be an advantage to the wrestler. Every mma experties like joe rogan for example says that wrestling and ground game is very important in street fight where there is no rule not useless as you said in the 1st comment. As you mentioned some rules that gives benifit to striker to counters .. I also mentioned some rules would give the wrestlers advantages. Iam sure habib style will be changed if your rules has been appilied to not shoot for the legs to takedown but wait for the clinch, but after it strikers will be in more trouble with those rules
Dagestani fighters and of themselves aren’t boring. It’s just the Dagestani wrestlers that aren’t fun. Mokaev, Chimaev, Umar, Zabit are all very entertaining fighters to watch. It’s the Dagestani wrestlers that give the Dangestani’s a bad wrap. That’s cause they are known for “leg humping” most fans just want the crazy wrestling scrambles, slams, knockouts, and awesome subs. Watching one guy sit on another guy is boring for the most part
Wmma can be just as interesting as mens. The only thing that the women tend to do MORE than men, cause men do it to, is theyre passive and seem to not want to fight or go for the finish. The last fight between Rose and the brazillian whose name escapes me, started off decent but then it was like they kind of mutually agreed to not go too hard the rest of the fight and both seemed so happy that it was over and immediatly hugged. Good sportsmanship is appreciated but like, play the sport first, make it a dogfight and then hug it out. The last round the both just stalled the whole time
Cheaters: Jones, O’Malley, Lesnar Trolls: Covington, Cejudo, Diaz. Unless you’re the Charming Chael Sonnen, in which case you’re both and I still like you 😂😊
We didn’t like umar getting the sandhagen fight cuz we were scared for him. We hated it cuz he was sooooo undeserving. He wasn’t even top 10. He had the Dana white priviledge
I really didn't like how Sandhagen got the 'He's going to get dominated, Umar is the future of the bantamweights' then when he pulled out it was 'Thank God for Sandhagen, he would have gotten mauled', totally ignoring what a killer Sandhagen is, himself, ignoring the favour he was doing Umar by giving him such a leap and ignoring that it was Umar who pulled out, injury or not, and acting like Sandhagen who took the fight, should be grateful.
I am fine with fighters being inactive like they need a rest or they have injuries, the problem is that they shouldnt be calling out for fights here and there when they are nowhere near from coming back
The thing you missed about the Dagestanis is they act humble but they ain’t. How’s making a homeless man do push-ups for money and laughing at him doing it humble
Crazy how the group I was able to recognize was the inactive fighter group lol other group 4 person choices I wasn't able to recognize all of em like that
Tbh I strongly make a case for the generic American point fighters. They beat my favourites far more often. The fights I don’t even need to watch anymore coz I know the outcome is a unanimous decision win. Maybe they have like one knockout win in the last 3 years. Guys like Rob Font, Jared Cannonier, Cory Sandhagen, Brad Riddell etc
If you mention inactive fighter than you must mention likes of Colby and Ortega as well. They're just completely inactive but still retaining their top 5 spot
In my opinion, if fighters want to earn a shot to become double champs, they need to defend their belt 3 times (if they finish all 3 fights) or defend 5 times (if they have decision wins)
Dagestani Wrestling is just horrid matchup for anyone. Once thay style gets figured out its going to be a MUCH MUCH better sport. Make no mistake khabib was the most boring champ ever
It is not even a good strategy. It only works because of the rules and regulations the fighters have to follow. Remove some of those dumb rules that dont make sense and that wrestling style is useless
Way I see it, Double Champ status should be reserved for people who have beaten THE top guys in their weight class before they even try it. Problem is it really holds up the division and unfairly forces legitimate contenders to put their careers on hold to wait for the champ to quit pissing around. I mean Volk has beaten Holloway 3 times, Rodriguez, and Ortega as well. Him jumping to Lightweight made sense since there were few real contenders left for him. But Leon's got Colby, Muhammad, and maybe Burns before he should even THINK about challenging for gold in another division. Genuinely, I think Strickland Vs. Edwards has no real interest in it right now. Leon beat Usman sure, but just because you shot Jesse James don't make you Jesse James. Strickland is in a similar boat. Sure he beat Izzy but there's still questions if he can maintain that kind of level. Rack up some defenses, then start talking.
“The champs who keep dodging title fights” McGregor was a great example, won 2 title belts but also was faffing around with Nate Diaz instead of defending his featherweight title. Then needed up not defending either and was stripped of them cause he was so inactive.
I mean tbh it's always some fan who mentions a dagestani fighter in comments of posts which has nothing to do with that fighter. Then the normal audience insults the fighters, i would give all responsibility to meat riding fans cause they are the ones because of whom fighters get hated.
I train mma and i can tell you, wrestlers are a pain in the ass, everytime the want to wrestle, mainly when they start to lose on foot they want to go to the ground, and they are good at it, don't get me wrong, but c'mon if you are only going to "wrestle" go to a wrestling match, and i say "wrestle'" because they don't even do it, they only hug you and put the weight on you to gas you out, and the worst part is that a lot of those take downs are only effective because of the rules, cause without that they'll be getting elbowed and kneed everytime. Wrestling and bjj is great when combined with striking, but only using bjj or wrestling is annoying af. The other day i saw a match where one of the guys (a bjj) sit on his back, legs wide open, and waited for the oponent to get in... Ain't that a 🐈 move?
In a way ,80 % of fighters in UFC are hated .Cz all of them have their own groups and these groups hate each other.U can just check out the comment sections of MMA posts .Even the most respectful fighters are hated by many people
they don't deserve the hate for winning. but they do deserve it for how they fight. they just hug their opponents and choke them out, its so boring. like khabib and islam are so boring, not adrenaline, no blood, just choking. booooooring.
@@venkputta271 might be boring but they care about winning not being a caged animal that amuses the audiance also islam probably the most diverse dagestani in fighting lol
Imo I don’t consider any of the dagestanis boring. Remember Zabit ? He was a fuckin problem I wish he was still competing but besides him the Dagestanis seem disciplined & dedicated to their craft
What the hell happened to McG? I lost track of MMA in general after the KhabibVMcG and the leprechaun man looks like he has been through some awful shit
Sounds like most of the hate on Dagestani fighters comes from fanboys who usually worship McGregor and have no actual fighting skills. Also sounds like a straight disrespect on their culture, religion, and mannerisms
nah its cause they're boring. most of their fighting has 0 adrenaline 0 blood 0 sweat. they just ground and pound and choke their opponents. like not even proper sparring. they just go for the legs and choke their opponent, and the opponent isn't even allowed to hit back in the head. they're good, but they're boring. i don't care about their culture or religion, but i can understand others do.
The reasons they are hated by some are also the reasons why they are appreciated. "Khabib clones" and "dominates most of people favourite fighters" ? You want them to lose against the favourite fighters of the mma fan base? MMA is a fighting sport, not a personality show pal. Discrediting them just cuz they win against your favourite fighters ? They win against your favourite fighters cuz as they are underrated. Remember that only chael sonnen guessed that makhachev would win against oliveira. Those who are insulting them of inbreds are well placed to know what inbreds are. They are not to be confused with the inbreds we find in Alabama though. They are famous only thanks to conor you say ? Khabib would have fought Tony maybe instead of conor and then conor later. It would have been anybody else for the lightweight title fight, they would still have shined sooner or later pal. This confirms once again that discrimination exists in the mma community. About fighters that want to be double champ, it's fair to say that it's their right to if they believe they can. Agreed about inactive fighters though.
Dagestanis are hated for their wrestling. It is not even a good strategy. It only works because of the rules and regulations the fighters have to follow. Remove some of those dumb rules that dont make sense and that wrestling style is useless. It is annoying to watch someone hug another person and that person not being allowed to just pummel them into the ground or elbow their back into oblivion...
