In our quest for seeking out a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle, we made a plan that includes zero waste living, tiny home living and full-time travel. We considered buying an RV, looked at trailers and airstreams but settled on doing a bus conversion for our off-the-grid, tiny house on wheels. We bought a 1996 MCI 102 D3 coach bus and with the Bus Demolition and Interior Shell complete, we turned it into our Tiny Home on Wheels and are now traveling!

Have always wanted to go visit Estes Park and quite specifically The Stanley Hotel. Been a big Stephen King fan for years. The history for that area is quite interesting. Thanks for sharing your journey. Living vicariously through your adventures for now.

Hi James It is a “bear box” since there are bears all around the area campers lock up food items or items that had food on them in these boxes otherwise the bears will try to hunt for them inside your vehicles ;6

It may sound funny but I know the carpet in that hotel lol I worked for one of the companies that was hired to make and run the carpet. They have one of the oldest machines to make antique carpet and rugs. I ran most the patterns in that place. It's weird to see something you've made on a show or video.

Hi Mela and Don. It was really interesting learning about the Stanley hotel and how they only film the outside for the film but all of it for the mini series of the Shinning. I have both on DVD and for me the mini series is not only longer it is also scarier but that is only my opinion. Try for yourself and see if you agree.

We live in North Eastern Wyoming and the elk come through in the fall to go into the Black Hills for the winter to their eating pastures and they have protection there in the woods and you can hear them bugling all through the night in a distance and you see him every once in a while when you're out driving around we also have bighorn sheep and some mountain goats

So I know its too late but there is a awesome pizza place there close to the KOA ,,Incredible! Also what a gorgeous place to wake up in, Surrounded by the snow capped mountains , One of our best stops on our journey, and the book freaked me out enuff, that just to see it was enough for me ! lol Great vid once again guys
