@@dartht-rex6313 I don't know about 5 yr olds. I didn't even see that in the video. The 5 yr olds I saw were only chest bumping each other. The kids I saw that were cursing looked like 12 yr olds. That's pretty normal. I grew up in the 90s and I can remember other kids doing that. I didn't do it because I was a preachers kid and my parents were pretty strict but I can definitely still remember those days.
@@themessengerkenswift707 I played sports my entire life and will tell you I wasn’t acting like a fool like that at such a young age while learning the game. Come play me on magazine street in New Orleans. I’ll show your bum ass a wimp
The parents with the little one's are clearly the problem. Trickles right down to the kids. If I caught my son or daughter in game ridiculing with extremely bad sportsmanship I am marching on that court or field with no fuqs! givin and grabbing them by the ear so help me god!!
I remember when I used to play basketball and fight all the time. The 80s and 90s, best time of my life haha. Only we didn't stand off face to face, acting tough cause we knew it would be broken up, we swung first before anyone could break it up haha.
@@themessengerkenswift707 maybe you guys can explain to these other people in the comments saying the game has gone soft and all kids do is showboat. The game has always been like this.
@@bingchilling813 Naw, I don't think the players today are soft but the Refs definitely are. I grew up in the 80s and 90s but I don't necessarily look at that era as it being "better" because there were a lot of unskilled players back then whose only purpose was to foul and beat up their opponents lol 😆 That's not really anything to brag about...
I started playing basketball around age 8. I gave it up in my 50s because all people wanted to do was argue and flex. Such a shame, i used to have alot of fun. I wasn't the best and i wasn't the worse. Now i just cycle by myself. No drama.
Maybe I’ve gotten too old at 47 years of age to understand this. This kind of behavior was never present when I played, also it would’ve never been tolerated. Whatever happened to sportsmanship smh
What sport can you think of that's not aggressive, involves trash talking and the occasional fight? I can always tell a non athletic person when they make a comment like this...
This is hard to watch. As a youth bball coach I would never allow any of my players or parents to act like this. 99% of the people in this video will go on to do something other than basketball in life so I don’t know why this is taken so seriously. It should be about learning how to work hard and be on a team; nothing else.
I played basketball as a kid I would never let my kid play now with all these disrespectful violent kids with no honor or sportsmanship. Sad the game has come to this.
