Most Important Skill to Make Putts 

I shot my all time personal best 7 under(65) the other day. Had 23 total putts. It was insane! After reading the break, and lining my ball up, I simply changed my setup to where my minds eye agreed with my intended start line. For me…. This was feet open, head slightly behind the ball. This put me looking directly down my line. From there I just simply started my ball perfectly on that line. I didn’t think about technique, or mechanics. Best putting day of my life!

I know we dont want to talk about equipment in this lesson. However, toe hang from face balanced all the way to 90 toe hang, makes a big difference for your arc style + offset. I know they started the video mentioning path is not as important as face. However, your arc style mixed with the correct toe hang + offset can make a big difference. Give Cam Smith a standard plumbers neck offset anser style or a bullseye or a face balanced mallet and it would not be the same. I wont even get into weight and how that affects tempo and distance of putt. My advice, go on ebay, buy lots of different cheap old ping designs, take them to the putting green and do rigorous AB testing. Then, take each one out for a round of golf, one at a time. This will take a while! I am not advocating buying a golf game. However, with putting, equipment fitting is very important and often overlooked compared to the rest of the bag
