Everyone talking about the aurial game where he caught 5up, but that game where he got Ovilee and Kara to go at each other's throats was a treat to watch. And having them be impostor partners the very next game was just the cherry on top.
Investigator is way more op than the new role. You see colored footprints even on swoopers. You only know know that someone used a skill, not what skill they used. You had to reason out Baycon wasn't bad because of that. 5up didn't defend himself well, and he suspected your role. He just needs to adjust to the new role. He didn't get sussed for no reason, you had a good reason to be sus, and process of elimination did the rest.
@@kirblar I mean maybe, but that's not the point. Investigator is the most broken role they use. You can catch swoopers, and even morphing and glitch can't hide by morphing in to someone else. They see the color of the footprints even when they are morphed. It's the exact same problem 5up had with Aurial times 50.
the tense "well where are you now dumbdog?" "im with smajor" "where?" and smajor catching it and saying where they 'totally were' is very iconic of them (at 1:04:13)
I don't think aurial breaks the game any more than any other role that lets you see extra info. Crew can catch swoopers/glitches/morphlings with investigator and tracker, and also get things really wrong, like when Junk full on saw morphed 5up's footsteps and still thought it was Baycon. Also they liked the old detective role, and that one basically gave you the killer on a silver platter when done right.
Aurial is not overpowered. Investigator can see footprints even when people morph. Investigator and tracker can catch people venting. Tracker can even catch the swooper. 5up just needs to accept that he got unlucky. It happens.
I love how Dumbdog and other people haven't realise that the roles like Aurial and Investigator are op only because Dumbdog is the one playing them. 😂 (Those roles are my favourite too😂 I actually love solving the mystery thing more than being the killer too😂)
5up saying Aurial is broken is actually funny ngl 😭😭 just bc u got caught once with a role does not mean it is broken it's like saying that tracker is broken also he got aurial literally the next round and threw the game for crew by accusing the jester (that does not even interact with others)
DumbDog actually complained abt Tracker in a game where Koji caught him using it, and we still have Tracker in the lobby. Roles are meant to do things, as it turns out
Yeah, like get rid of mayor because it was the only reason they had enough votes one round, or get rid of swapper because without it the crew would have killed one of their own. LIke seriously, it turns out when a good player knows how to maximize a role, and gets a little lucky with their positioning they can figure things out!
Thank you! Your a god send. Friggin yt keeps starting my videos from the beginning and this saved me so much time trying to find where I left off ❤️ 😘 Edit: I guess my first comment magically came back 🤣 after two hours of it missing. The second swapper round is easily missed as 1. It was supposed to be lg last round. 2. It's the exact same role
tbh i dont think aurial is *that* broken with colors, but maybe if there was a way to lower the color radius, or maybe just see light color vs dark color like medic reports
I dont think it gives too much information either, since there are similarly interacting roles on both sides. In the game where 5up was caught I think Politician could've given same arrows if the way the role works is how I think it is, so at most it would've been a 50/50 between a killing or a crew role (technically he could've also been arsonist banking douses for no reason), but Steve being Steve crossed that one out
Yeah honestly if you think about it more it doesnt make sense to complain about aurial. Its definitely not any more op than roles like investigator, medic, tracker etc. It doesnt catch the killer for free, you have to play it right and even there there rng - you could very well be throwing out a tracker or something.
@@ananniesday I do think there is a sweet spot though. Color with a big range might be too powerful. But last week dd had aurial with a small radius and never even saw an interaction. It's about actually playing it and finding where it can useful but not too useful.
5up hating Aurial just because he got caught, I guess Dumbdog knows how to play the role cuz most people wouldn't play it like him. On the next game 5up got it and he voted out the jester so it doesn't guarantee that you can catch the imposter.
Because as a plaquebearer it's really sucks being accused like that, Dumbdog also said it might be fun for him coz he got the role, but he understood it's sucks in the perspective of 5up who did nothing but only spread his plaque. And Dumbdog and everyone agrees that they should turn off the color of arrows of Aurial. So maybe the time when 5up gets the Aurial role, the arrow should not have the color anymore.
@Userkangjihoon23451 yeah, but 5up is kind of ridgid regardless which can be frustrating in situations like these. He said its broken but plaguebearer feels more broken to me because there was no real defense against it. Aurial kind of feels tailored to balancing it.
@@Curiousaubergine plaquebearer is not broken. They could die early in the game if they're not careful and can be voted out in meetings. Aurial especially with arrow in color is more broken that's why they disabled it.
@@Curiousaubergine Also after that game, everyone agreed to disabled the arrow in color not only 5up, even Dumbdog too. He even said in the next game, it really sucks in the perspective of 5up. The majority of players in that game already said it.
really wish you'd turn on color blind mode to see peoples colors in meetings, impossible to tell what color people are with the full body costumes and that's important to some roles
i mean, i agree that aurial is strong ONLY with the colored arrows being on, if it’s off i think it makes everything fair for imps, neutral, and the crew who has the role. but also, it’s only really OP if the person who has the role is trying to understand it’s usage the way dumbdog did. there’s no reason to turn it off because it’s pretty similar to any other crew role, such as investigator or even tracker uk. in my opinion, the way that any role is used and understood is based off of who’s using it. if that makes sense.
The Aurial role is not OP with the colour arrows on. The role has been played that way for like 2 weeks and there wasnt an issue. 5up comes back, gets caught first game and he suddenly hates it and it’s too OP. After turning the colour arrows off, I don’t think anyone who had the role had any sort of impact on the other games as they had literally almost zero input. Without the colour arrows the role is rather dead. In the Dumbdog/5up round I actually thought 5up could have been detective early on and simply scanning for killers. There’s so many potential roles like tracker, detective, plaguebearer, arsonist, transporter, impostor, politician, or even medic round one which can ping for an aurial so trying to narrow it down takes some doing.
Ngl I like 5up but him complaining so much about Aurial kind of annoyed me. The role’s not OP he just got unlucky and Dumbdog outplayed him. But that just happens sometimes 🤷🏾♀️
@@Umakuhatindis it took 3 weeks to get one game of it being useful, and then later the same day it cost crewmates the game. It can be powerful. For the right person, and the right circumstance. But generally it's not helpful at all, and sometimes it's actually BAD. Definitely not OP
yeah just bc he infected someone in the middle of 5 people and didn't guess DumbDog's role when he could have does not make it OP I liked that Kara said "Just bc u got caught with it"
Aurial catching plague is just because they kept spreading while in a crowd. All it means is you actually have to think about when to press rather than just pressing on cooldown and praying you don't die before it spreads.
i love ovilee she’s so fun (also people in the comments need to chill out on the 5up slander - it’s not tears to have an opinion. it’s one thing for his friends to tease and another for random people on the internet to call him whiny. same goes with hafu whenever she expresses her opinion, whether you agree with it or not. feel free to critique or even slam their opinions but chill it with the insults)
supreme gang in this vod (ovilee + dk is always a good time), but holy the speaking over each other during meetings (at least in the beginning) is so much worse than usual.
