Sacrifices must be made for records, if he found any more negatives while holding onto stuntman then he would be able to set an even higher joker WR. He wasn’t holding onto it for any other reason than just to try for max jokers
Alright, I said I wanted him to get 16 of the worst goddamn jokers ever for blue balling us. How did that work out? Joker Stencil: PERFECTLY WORTHLESS, A+ Stuntman: A+, bad joker for this deck Bus: A+ bad joker for this deck Zany: Will add some mult, so not a fan. It's actually doing things. Riff-Raff: A+ worthless Jolly: Adds some mult, not a fan. Reserved Parking: It's gonna give money, but we're at Ante 15+, we need mult. A+ Bad joker Photograph: It's a mult multiplier. It could be a lot worse. I hate it. It's useful, just not nearly as useful as they want. Cloud 9: We have no 9s. This joker is perfect for our wants. Hanging Chad: Retriggers first card. I hate it. It's good. Golden Ticket: We don't need money, A+, I love it. Red Card: A tiny bit of mult, aka a tiny bit useful. Wily: It has a use, aka I hate it. Crazy: ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS, A+ Misprint: Potential to be completely worthless, or a tiny bit useful. It's a meme, I love it. Fortune Teller: +237 Mult at the time of purchase is by and large the most useful joker so far. F- Business Card: Super Worthless. A+ Throwback: At Ante 15, lol Clever: Some more chips, potential but by and large, nothing good. Gluttonous and Wrathful: Same kind of joker, different suit, but nothing major for either. Cartomancer: More tarots, but that isn't what we wanted. All in, a lot of worthless jokers. RNG Gods are appeased.
All of the +mult jokers are nearly completely useless aswell (even the Fortune Teller), since they add their mult after the Baron and the Mime already put the mult in the octillions.
@@Ptcar2009 Yeah, my personal "fear" was that he was gonna get baseball and just get an insane amount of uncommons or he was gonna pull showman early and potentially get more blueprints or mimes.
Yeah, I just tried run like that, in my case I had deck full of queens and I had to spend my several double tags at boss reroll tag skip, because it was "all face cards are debuffed"... Next time I hit negative tag and I got two negatives that expires over time (banana and popcorn). That's my luck, yeah.
Thought you already know that the jokers can only block duplicates of the same rarity. So if you buy golden ticket, and get it in shop after reroll, it gets replaced by a common joker.
29:00 With red seal steel kings, the added exponent is log(1.5)*(steel(1) + #barons)*(regular trigger(1) + red seal(1) + #mimes) So it’s actually better to have one more baron I guess 47:38 is a better timestamp
I do wonder if it would have been worthwhile to not roll all the way trhough the shop after the skip, and instead to wait and see if a Rare/Uncommon Joker skip came up to guarantee a negative hitting a good (or at least better) joker
As far as I know, the console versions are still waiting for a much needed update. Until then, some RNG elements are almost assuredly different, unfortunately.
Right, when he moved the blueprint it became 4/2 baron and mime. Only one blueprint hits the mime, while the other blueprint and brainstorm both target the baron, with the extra baron as well.
@@Newdly true, forgot to account for steel and red seal. Thought he was implying in the original comment that he had changed the order to 3/3 from something else, when he hadn’t. But yeah, it moves it from 5/4 to 4/5
So the math on it is that you get one natural trigger on each Baron from the card, then one additional from the red seal, and one more from each Mime or copy. So, with a red seal and 3 copies of Mime, you get 5 triggers of Baron. Let's say you move the Blueprint to the Baron. You lose one trigger from Mime, but you double your Barons, so you get 2 from the card, 2 from the seal, and 2 each from the copies of Mime-8 all told. -Technically, one should not copy Mime at all for maximum score, but you are then faced with loss of money if you forget to move Mime and Baron around while the hand plays- Edit: After thinking it over, his split at 8:40 is correct, because the only way it would scale faster would be to have more of each card and that's just not realistic. If you could theoretically have an infinite number of Mime and Baron though, you should always endeavor to have _n+1_ Baron.
re: copy math in general, it's actually a little more complicated than your summary-- but your conclusion is correct at the moment. in general with no copies on a red seal steel king (rssk) you'd get 3 procs on 2 tics for (1.5^2)^3=1.5^6 per rssk. you then want your first copy effect on the ticks (so on baron) for (1.5^3)^3=1.5^9 per rssk (as opposed to (1.5^2)^4=1.5^8 per rssk). then it doesn't matter which copy you hit next-- either way you'll have 1.5^12 per rssk-- i.e. you have the same score double copying baron as you do copying one on each, and if you do blueprint-baron-mime-brainstorm you still only need one action to switch both copies over from baron to mime for APM's sake. if you theoretically copied one of your core jokers, it would be correct to run 3 baron 2 mime for (1.5^4)^4=1.5^16 per rssk.
Is there a gimmick with the Banana? It seems kind of bad if that’s all it does. I remember one time I picked Banana and it broke, then I got one that was like 3x mult and 1/1000 chance to break but I don’t know if those were connected or a coincidence
Yep, they’re connected. +15 milt isn’t bad early game, and the cavendish can’t appear until the banana goes extinct. Cavendish is also a common joker, so once you lose the banana the odds are pretty high that you can find the cavendish
am i crazy for thinking that you want every copy joker copying mime because of steel cards and barons instead of the even split? since mime technically gives you 2 more 1.5x while an extra baron only gives 1 more?
You're not crazy! But, uhhhh, basically every copy of Baron gives more things to be copied by Mime. It works out to something like 3 times 3 is bigger than 2 times 4, for example.
Because the purpose of this run was getting most (negative) jokers possible, I guess? If he got another negative tag while keeping stuntman, then the record would be 37 or 39 jokers.
I wonder what kind of score would be possible with anaglyph and the hand size increase. Of course you would need the deck size large enough too. Could it go naneinf, maybe against the boss that allows more hand size too?
I calculated the points you would've gotten if you used all 3 tarot cards in the ante 19 boss to buff fortune teller, you would be at 2.465e31 instead of 2.412e31, i thought it could've saved you but obviously no
You could've reroled for the boss wich always draws 3 new cards to krank up you score even further. Would've helped to reach 20. But anyways nice run man!
I think 3 copies baron 2 copies mime is better than 2 copies baron 3 copies of mime (what you've been doing up to the point you got a second baron card) You already have 2 triggers from base + red seal, so 2 baron 3 mime is 2 baron * 5 triggers. You can count all the cards being steel as basically being another baron so call that 3 baron * 5 triggers. Not as good as 4 baron * 4 triggers which is what you would get if you had 3 copies of baron and 2 copies of mime. Once you get the second baron then, 3 baron 3 mime is essentially (with steel + red seal) 4 baron 5 triggers, so it doesn't matter whether you have 3 copies baron or 4 copies baron, they're basically the same In general, with red seal + steel it seems to me like If you have an odd number to distribute you want 1 more baron than mime, if you have even number then you either want an even split or to have 2 more copies of baron than mime (the latter is also better if any of your cards are non-steel, but still assuming they're all red)
Also at 57:45, I think you just didn't see the final number, it was still e23, it was just e20 mult that turned into e23 when multiplied by the chips, showing that in that case it was actually exactly the same
I finally unlocked Stuntman today after doing around 100 million with the Checker deck. That seemed really easy to go all out on Flushes. I got space joker; oops all sixes, the hearts probability X mult joker and blueprint. That definitely let me blow through the regular antes
1.840e31 = 1.840 × 10³¹ so imagine a number with 31 zeros, that is the magnitude. However the 1.840 replaces first three of them with 8,4,0 so the number is 18,400,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (18.4 nonillion, somebody correct me if I made a mistake)
@@derpz_holy Christ 😂 that’s insane. Why does it seem like some of the bigger blinds are like 1.345e20 and he’s scoring like 3.445e40 and somehow his number is smaller ? Those are made up numbers. Not actually the scores. I just noticed he’ll get scores that should seem bigger but it’s not?
Okay, so what might have happened is that the blind is 4.567e30 and if you score 8.765e24 even though 8 is bigger than 4 the blind is still almost a million (1e6) times more. If the magnitudes are same you compare the significant numbers / mantissa i.e. the ones before 'e", otherwise bigger magnitude wins, e.g. 1e30 > 4e26 and 4e30 > 1e30.
meanwhile i lost to ANTE 2 NEEDLE because i didnt get a fucking three of a kind with the anaglyph deck then again its on gold stake, but i actually was having fun cause i got the trio and the family, which i rarely take the trio from the shop (got it from a pack), and i NEVER take any card that buffs 4 of a kind (i got the family from wraith from 6th sense)
To be fair, going for Three of a Kind on Gold Stake that early is really ambitious. You have a good chance of not drawing it. Moreover, in Ante 2, you don't actually need the extra xMult from the Trio. Definitely better to continue going for Flushes until you hit more Strength, Death, and Hanged Man Tarot to enable duplicates.
@@drspectred flushes are always my main hands, though i did forget to say in the 2nd ante i got a level up three of a kind 3 times (which i used a double tag on), silly me :3
@@handsomeharold4698 Ah. Taking two skips to level up Three of a Kind is super risky. Definitely good payoff if you manage to survive, but very risky. If the boss weren't the Needle, you probably would've been fine, burning extra hands to draw Three of. Seeing ahead that the boss is the Needle, I don't take the Orbital for Three of.
This is unseeded, he built up a lot of money to reroll for the negatives he has at the start of this part, and all of the negative tags are from the double tags gained from the anaglyph deck, plus a few colas found while rerolling.
