"Compassion". In economic and financial terms ::: Rich being compassionate towards poor ,can help reduce the poor. Rich being SENSITIVE towards poor and share their resources with poor. Rich not being greedy and selfish can help reduce the gap , be altruistic. Eg. Tata's in philanthropy. In social terms ::: Someone might be rich in terms of good family, friend , whose makes him feel rich in terms of happiness. Someone might be rich in terms of money but poor in terms of social capital and bonds with people. FRIENDSHIP between poor and rich can help reduce the difference, poor becomes rich because he gets the emotional support of the person who is rich in terms of social capital. Friendship and compassion can help overcome the poverty of love and hope.
