Sitting on the Giant Ibis Bus from Kampot to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. A review of the bus and came to the conclusion that it was very safe and reliable. I paid $10 USD to get back from Kampot to Phnom Penh (a 4-hour bus ride) and the facilities were great - free wifi, free croissants, free water, comfortable leather seats, seatbelts, curtains to get shade from the sun and arriving 30 minutes earlier than expected.
The light on the bus didn't work and the place was very well-ventilated with air conditioning. We stopped once for a bathroom break and there was hardly anyone on the bus besides 5 passengers.

Yes those people is a factory worker, Chinese factory and they get very low pay for working there. They live at the country side, some of them live like 3 to 4 hours away from home. The one you see now it’s not that many truck 🛻 but the one near the airport is about 500+ trucks carrying 1000 and 1000 of country side workers back home. Sad story

Hi maz! I’m planning on travelling to Cambodia soon I was wondering if they no longer require proof of vaccination
@travellingwithmaz
@travellingwithmaz 7 месяцев назад
They haven’t checked proof of vaccination for the past 2 times I’ve entered. I’ve entered once in July and again in November and they haven’t checked either times for me (personally speaking from experience)

Is the Giant I Bus better than the train ? > Price and time it takes - and - AC comfort ? 🤔
@travellingwithmaz
@travellingwithmaz 22 дня назад
Ooo that’s a challenging question, they’re both good in their own way. Train is a bit longer than bus but it’s definitely more scenic. Train has some delays and sometimes stops randomly and bus goes straight there. Ac for both but I’d say bus is more comfortable than train, however train is a different experience in itself
