By default this would hold mostly true because men are rooted in logic/reason and not emotions. Minus those with mental disorders and character traits that are narcissistic , sociopathic , etc ..although a arguement can be made that women are inherently narcissistic with their subjectivity in objective situations, and that can come across as child-like. The only difference between them and a child is that they've been exposed to the knowledge. Nothing wrong with being quirky in appropriate situations, but I don't expect to argue about something that doesn't pertain to the subject because your emotions derailed you, or act irrational because of the way you feel in light of logical/reason situations. I never said men don't do it, but it's much more common in women especially at a superficial level. For example, You don't hear men making outlandish excuses as to why a certain aspect of dating is the way it is, or receiving a fair share of criticism. Collectively, men fully own it for the most part. Not the same for women. Deflection, and "my brother jhonny did it too" type of deal. Children do this when they're in trouble or when they don't like hearing something that makes them "feel" a certain way.
