Looking at an emergency stormwater management dewatering job. The process and the tools used.
The ‪@MultiquipTV‬ trash or dirty water pump was the biggest tool required to make this possible. It pumped out tens of thousands of gallons during my time on site, which assisted the existing drain to lower the level of the pond in time for an impending hurricane (at the time of filming it was still a tropical storm).
Copper Creek Cuts is a lawn care and landscaping business in Florida with a goal to entertain and educate.

If this is owned by a HOA, they have a major littering problem! That would be the biggest problem to solve!

The thing is Brad, this type of job needs a person who knows what they are doing without compromising any structure and land areas. It also requires specialist equipment to do it. Good job you have both the knowledge and the equipment to do it. I am not a bit surprised that this is a good earner for you as there are so many things that could go wrong such as a break down in equipment. Great job as always Brad xx

I ran a dewatering job at a construction site last fall - this July. I worked 7 days a week, 8 hours a day doing pretty much this. It was 6 and 8 inch pumps and the bag was the size of a car but mostly the same thing. They are paying you for what you know, not what you are doing 98% of the time. 2% they are paying you for both.

If this were a regular thing for you, I would get some bigger hoses (6in or 8 in). Snake the hoses below the pond dam and then back to the top of the dam. Use that trash pump to fill the hose from the top of the dam (the other end placed in the deeper area of the pond). Once you get the hose filled, cap it and take it to where you want it to drain to. Now you've got a large siphon going with no need for a large pump. You can run multiple hoses and drive that hourly rate even higher, lol

Trash is doing so much damage to nature and to drainage. It's good that you fixed it before the storm. Hopefully, they choose to get it permanently fixed.

Get a float for your intake side of your pump that way it helps prevent clogs in your intake line

They may do better with a swale system then a pipe drain. We use swales here. We use a pipe system on our driveway/sidewalk to pond that has to be maintained but the natural swales around the property and pond to ditches very seldom if ever need maintanaince.

2:10 the concrete from the position of the camera looks like its falling over as well, so methinks the entire retaining wall is compromised and needs removal and replacement; not just patching up of the egress locations and better drainage holes; the entire thing needs to come out and be replaced

Seems like a float of some sort would be good for the suction end so it's not sitting on the bottom sucking up muck. Probably rig it so it would set 8 inches to a foot below the surface but adjustable to be wherever you may need it given the depth of the end result.

Sweet vid. Whats the point of the pump though? Didn't it start draining once you unclogged the hole?

hey man! little fire department secret i kno thats a trash pump and dirt wont hurt it but if you tie something to it that floats and let it hang under the surface a foot or so it will move alot more water.
