Unrelated to this video, but did you see that someone posted (favorably) about the McDonald’s nail video on Reddit with the post title “Theresa is Dead”, and a bunch of people unfamiliar with the channel were upset because they thought OP was announcing that someone named Theresa had died? 🤣
I love Last Call for this series. Makeup Hangover would be a good name for your drunk purchases during makeup bingo. Like a once a month recap of your drunk purchases.
As an old lady, can I say that, the Care Bear pallette looks odd cuz it's not the bears. It's the Care Bear Cousins who came out later. On a related note, for some reason, baby Jesus was missing from the church nativity set one year, so we used the Lion cousin. It was the 80s idk wtf was going on.
Okay so my partner is an audio director of a big gaming company .He says you need acoustic tiles on the ceiling and on the wall closet to you. They sell them on Amazon cheap and you can also make fabric covered foam for the walls and put the tiles on the ceiling.Remember the fuller a room is..the less reverb you get. When we turned our basement in the den for him to work from home we filled it with furniture and book/record shelves and then acoustic tiled the ceiling. Problem was fixed ❤ Hope this helps!
@@TheresaisDead Anytime! If you ever have audio issues just comment on this thread and I’ll have him answer you. My dude has made some epic game titles out there and has worked for lucasfilms in England so I promise he knows his shite!
Australian finger limes are indigenous to tropical Queensland and New South Wales. Finger limes have been used by Indigenous communities on Australia’s east coast (living on Barunggam, Wakka Wakka, Bundjalung and Gumbainggir lands) for medicinal purposes for centuries
happy for me and my bank account that none of these products interest me! Love hearing you sh*&talk them! PS: your 2018-19 videos are great. I know what it's like to be self-conscious but just remember you're a funny lady and that hasn't changed. love you!
Lol when you were like “is it cohesive?” My thought was “for angie nyqvist yes. For everyone else? Questions - specifically teach me your ways.” Also saying gelly like jelly gives me finding out gif is pronounced “jiff”
YOU SHOULD DO A FULL FACE OF MAC!! Perfect for all of us who have no idea about the Mac lore and coming from someone with absolutely honesty, means we would actually know what’s good and what is rose tinted glasses from those who lived through their hey day 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Kakadu plums are found in Kakadu National Park, but also grow wild extensively throughout the subtropical woodlands of the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
What is going on? Has the makeup universe gone into rewind? My niece who is about to be 11 will be happy with the mermaid things. Speaking of Flower Knows that's where I got her birthday present from. Hopefully the makeup will stop her asking for Drunk Elephant face creams etc... We had to have the chat about her not needing retinol creams, TikTok is fucked up.
I had to have the same conversation with my almost ten year old. I told her that retinol will burn her face off until she’s 30😂 It worked for a bit, until she got into my gentler formulated retinol and she had to tell me it didn’t in fact, burn her face off. She isn’t allowed to touch my skincare without asking first, for safety reasons.
@@trishamarie I know, it's ridiculous, it's a problem in a lot of countries because of social media. They are so young and these TikTok influencers have such a hold on them. I've found my niece will listen to me as she knows I'm skincare obsessed (I'm 45 though and trying to hold back wrinkles!) so I know the brands and the products that are most wanted.
I'm guessing the word you were trying to say was geleé? It's Michelle Wang's favorite word, gel-ay. For the longest time, I thought she created that word lol
Mac foundations are for the girlies who like to use self tanner and has a super warm undertone. I love their lip liners, lipsticks. Pait pots and fix plus. Everything else is whatever
I got a small sample of the Polite Society mascara in my last Ulta order, and I actually really like it. No smudging or flaking, has a stiff plastic bristle wand, and makes my lashes look great!
Those blush/blushlighter duos had everyone in a fkn chokehold. If I weren't broke at the time, I may have picked up the mulberry shade & then regretted it because purple blush doesn't work on my skin tone, lolol Also, CoverFX started out by doing foundation & highlighter drops so you could customize coverage - mix them w/ moisturizer or SPF, into foundation, or just use them by themselves. Then everyone tried to make a dupe, then no one cared because they'd rather not do makeup alchemy on the daily. It was a good idea IMO but I can see them being impractical for most people.
I use MAC foundations - the concealer/foundation pen is really good. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it. Definitely use sparingly... but great results. Kakadu plum and finger limes are indigenous to Australia. Very yummy!
A finger lime is like pop rocks, also sometimes referred to as some kind of fruit caviar…I think!. The ones I’ve had are super tart but I don’t know if they’re always that tart. It’s a fun food to try!!
That new Tom Ford quad looks exactly like one of those old Haus Labs 4-way palettes! I had to google the name and it was 4-Seduction! I remember wanting it so bad and when I finally got it, it was terrible 😂 love the name change to Last Call!!
The Kaja blush picture was trying to do the Asian blush technique, but I don't think a darker pink blush works for that technique. I think if it was a lighter pigmentation or a lower contrast color to the model's skin tone, it might look less "punched in the face" and more "anime character" (as intended). So much irony considering that Kaja is a k-beauty brand...🙃
Kaja is such an odd brand to me, it's like k beauty trying to be western makeup but it feels more like poorly researched western makeup parading as k-beauty...if that makes sense?
I live in the Desert (my yard is filled in with rock, not grass 😅) and the Edge Palette does not really represent. It’s better then the Urban Decay color story though 😂. Also, why are they launching this autumn palette in the spring. They need to plan better.
I love your neutral look in this video, it's super cute! And I actually really like the Edge Beauty palette! It reminds me of the Yucca palette and I do think it's reminiscent of the desert in a similar way.
43:51 Omfg, those glosses remind me of my FAVE product from high school!! I think it was a Max Factor product [also called a lip vinyl] that was this semi-opaque brownish mauve. It was SO STICKY BUT SO PRETTY & I LOVED IT.
Finger Lime, kakadu plum, smell fucking amazing! And I think good skincare products ingredients. Finger Limes are literally just lime but shaped like long grapes and come in different colours.
Is the Gucci cushion foundation actually new? I bought mine in Heathrow Airport duty free last September. It’s actually quite good. It’s not heavy at all and it doesn’t smell obnoxious. I like to apply it quite thinly by dabbing a brush in it. I may buy the refill when it’s finished. It’s not a sticker btw!
Oh yes! You should try the Studio Radiance face and body from Mac! Best dry skin fondation ever : ) It's quite sheer but undetectable, especially beautiful when used with green corrector.
I agree that the green outlines on the edge beauty pans is a fun look but totally throws the palette off. From a color theory angle, that’s a wild move… it’ll skew the way all the colors look in the pans away from how they’ll look on a skin tone.
If you decide to create a new makeup nonsense bingo card would you create a new square? I’m thinking of “Brands so forgettable I get makeup dementia”. What do you think?
OK yes, there is one MAC foundation you should try as a dry skinned babe where the dewier it is the better. MAC Face & Body Foundation (I am about the color of a piece of paper, and N1 works for me because the coverage is light-buildable to medium. When I want a healthy glow with not a ton of effort, this is it. I set with an ambient lighting powder, and it's my "everyday." The nice thing is that while it's light-medium buildable coverage, it actually hides a lot.
I love the Care Bears palette because the Care Bear Cousins got ignored. They were my favorite. I had the purple penguin because I was obsessed with penguins when they were introduced.
Mama !!!! Mac Foundation - when i danced for football that was my ride or die alongside Nars Sheer Glow! Studio Fix FLUID Foundation - if you want a pump you have to buy if separate which is awful BUT the product?! PHENOMENAL! It's a true medium to full coverage foundation - but my goodness go in store to shade match yourself! Theres 0 doing it online because Mac does complexion shades a whoooooole different way than other brands! For me - its worth it. The coverage versatility and longevity is superb. Also a huge sloot for Laneige, so i'm defs trying out the green type mask too, or that new one does look reeeealll nice too for another type of overnight mask, since I have a few repair type masks!
I can confirm that the Gucci cushion foundation design is not a sticker. It is made into the plastic. I got it back when it first launched on Selfridges and it hasn't scratched off.
lol… you sound like you are soooo over doing a video today. You’re still funny and your videos make me happy. …. Because we both know it’s all about me. Lmao!!!! Thanks for doing your videos. I love them. 😊
CoverFX is trying to make a comeback. I bought the compact cream foundation, which is much better than it was, but I seem to recall they had more shades. The one I have is slightly off, but not too bad. I'm not exactly uncooked chicken, more like unbaked white bread.
I love mac foundations. I have the studio radiance and the all over concealer thingy and I LOVE LOVE LOVE! My skin looks like I drink water, have a dazzling skin care routine, sleep enough and exercise when I wear their products. But they dont beat the rituel de fille 3 drops. Sorry mac. You should try them though, why not make a whole mac video?
Polite society foundation is great though, fantastic coverage and lightweight. Not interested in any of these new releases except for the Cover FX concealer
Hi, I used to run audio and lights for tv production. You need to mic yourself. A directional mic will only pick up so much and a camera mic will pick up all the bounce. Unless you want to put egg cartons all around your room (don't you'll hate the mold, they are mold food), you need something on you or put up more sound mitigation in the room. I think a cool mic setup on the desk would be cool, but a clip on mic would be best.
Sadly, MAC seems to have gone downhill. They used to be soooo good in the earlier 2000 and near mid but I haven’t been liking Mac in a long time. They have their few cult fave items but they just don’t do anything much that is enticing.
