American professional eater Randy Santel versus Kagurazaka Hanten's famous Triple Jumbo Japanese Shoyu Ramen Challenge hosted by Kagurazaka Hanten in the Shinjuku neighborhood of Tokyo, Japan in East Asia!! My girlfriend @KatinaEatsKilos and I left Seoul, South Korea in East Asia and flew to Tokyo, Japan where I attempted 3 huge and delicious Japanese competitive eating challenges around the greater Tokyo metro area. For Japanese food challenge #2, we headed to Kagurazaka Hanten in the Shinjuku neighborhood of Tokyo so Katina and I could each try one of their delicious food challenges available. I was here back in August 2018 and attempted their famous 2.5kg (5.5lbs) Japanese Gyoza Dumpling Challenge equivalent to 100 normal sized Japanese gyoza dumplings. Katina tried that challenge and afterwards, I attempted Kagurazaka Hanten's Triple Jumbo Japanese Shoyu Ramen Challenge which was extra delicious and had just a 1 hour time limit to finish everything. There were three jumbo sized bowls of traditional Japanese shoyu ramen noodles. Each jumbo sized bowl was equal to about 1.5 normal sized bowls. There were so many noodles as part of this challenge, and each bowl had a slice or two of pork as well, plus bamboo and other healthy vegetables. I was trying to win my ¥2,400 Japanese yen (~$17 USD) meal free plus a spot on the Wall of Fame next to all the other people who have beaten one or more of their food eating challenges. BIG thanks to our friend John Daub with @onlyinjapan plus everyone with Kagurazaka Hanten in Shinjuku, Tokyo for the wonderful food, drinks, and hospitality!! Special thanks also to all our amazing friends who came up that Thursday afternoon to watch and meet us!! *Before I started my challenge, the restaurant owner noted that most people who order just one jumbo shoyu ramen bowl, don't actually finish the whole thing. Unfortunately, that was after I had already ordered the additional 10 normal-sized gyoza dumplings to have with my challenge meal!!
