Directly in front of 2 homeowners and their daughter, 2 company owners, and my 4 man crew, an angry construction employee threw his hammer at me from 5 ft away. As I turned, I threw my right hand up to block what I thought was him swinging on me and caught the hammer by the handle in midair as it flipped. Without missing a beat, I stepped towards him and he RAN out of the building. There was complete silence as EVERYONE tried to understand what they just seen. I tossed ipthe hammer into my tool bag and scoffed.. 15 years ago and I'm STILL asked about it. (Btw... It was 100% complete accident. The hammer handle slapped my hand closed, but only my wife knew the truth with me telling her when I got home.)
