I sadly used to shoot pigeons with my pellet gun. There were hundreds of them. They used to defecate all over the house, the back yard, my car, everywhere. Now I feel extreme guilt for treating these these wonderful creatures with such disdain. Why??…. I moved to another state. One day Out of nowhere A beautiful white Andijian fancy pigeon landed on my outdoor garage roof. He was lost disorientated tired and on his last legs. He was on the roof for two days then he moved underneath the back door porch. I snatched him up with my hands because he was too weak to fly. I fed him seeds gave him water and nursed him back to health. Now he is inside the house in his own cage and I wait on him hand and foot. Turns out he is one of the best creatures I have ever had in my life. He’s a very proud bird, wants his own space and coos all day long. He has become part of the family I could never imagine harming a pretty feather on his perfect head. What was I thinking? I was so God..m ignorant. this bird has changed my life. Or at least my viewpoint on these amazing animals. I ❤️ him and I shall redeem myself for all the harm I have done to all the other pigeons. This is the promise I make to the pigeon world.
