Let’s not forget that Charizard was the most rarest Pokémon card and had the best stats and hp points. I’m still surprised that Pokémon Red had sold more than Pokémon Yellow with Pikachu!

Exactly! And not only that, it was very difficult to find it in the wild too with its unique random fishing spot encounter rate. It makes sense that there were people constantly running searches on it.

I think it says a lot that the entire Shinx evo line made it onto the list. Luxray is such a great combo of dark/electric and is super versatile esp as a physical attacker. My fav electric type!

I kniw this is two years old by niw, but im genuinely surprised that rowlet and decidueye didnt even make the list. Its the only starter and grass type pokemon i LOVE outside of bulbasuar. I wonder if the data has change a bit, cause i seem to be seeing a lot more people atleast appreciating decidueyes design. Im suprised inceneroar didnt make the fire list either cause hes definitely a top fav for many, has a huge spot in vcg and is in smash bro. Super weird.
I feel so bad, Raichu was always overlooked and forgotten. But I love Raichu so much, in my opinion it was the coolest out of the pikachu evolution linr
its was quite weak maybe but make sense cause pikachu was going to be a first stage pokemon not second and raichu was second stage and final stage was going to appear but because of anime pikachu becomes second and in gen 2 they added pichu in the evoution line and that is reason why people doesnot use them alot too it would have been way better if raichu had 535 base stats and pikachu 420
@@rapier1128 feebas was a pain to both find and evolve. you could only find it in 6 random squares of water in the entire region and to evolve it you needed to feed it a bunch of beauty pokeblocks to get to max beauty before leveling it up
Greninja is so popular because of his ash-greninja form in the anime probably he was also one of the most popular Pokémon in the xy anime series when the ash greninja first came around

I can tell you exactly what made celebi triumph as the most popular grass type. Originally celebi was impossible to get outside of Japan and it stayed that way until heart gold and soul silver and it was very hyped up by the time. Not to mention celebi was very good in vgc when it was released and it has done pretty consistently well ever since

It's because Dialga, Palkia and Giratina represent the three forms of matter. Dialga is a steel type and represent the solid form. Palkia is a water type and represent the liquid form. Giratina is a ghost type and represeny the gas form.
i feel like Arceus is people’s favorite because 1. Scared 6 year olds thought he was gonna kill them 2. its overpowered 3. it looks cool 4. if you get one you are basically god 5. Its the god of pokemon
on top of that it just adds up all the stats from the years before. there hasnt been a moment where someone just lost a few points. so older pokemon have the advantage here
Yeah I think entei had an edge in the fire category at first because it was difficult to get with it running all around johto and kanto. same with feebas, it is so hard to get. unless there was a feebas meme I didn't know. People would inevitably search tricks for catching it. Not really surprised how well many of the pokemon did though.
