That was beautiful how he recovered the triple stack fold over and fuse from falling apart. Look for it just before the 23min mark. nice! ....after a second look that may have been intentional. let me upgrade that nice to wow!
@@eric1741 Korea is a first world country first of all. It's also #2 in technological expertise only behind japan in #1. Way ahead of any western countries. Besides this is not meant to be industrial crap that everyone has that all looks the same. It's handmade. Each knife made for you. Each slightly different and unique. the likes of you wouldn't understand what makes that more valuable than industrial mass produced products.
In fact, 50 percent of Japanese ancestors came from Korea, and Korea passed on most of its culture and technology to Japan over the past 1500 years. However, the Japanese didn't know how to appreciate it and bought weapons from the West 100 years ago and invaded the country of their father and teacher. But now, Korea has become a country that can defeat Japan if it puts its mind to it. Also, what Japan fears the most is the reunification of North and South Korea.
I thought they had missed filming a step in the Damascus knife forging. When he put the hard steel core on, it should have been folded over again so that it would be in the centre of the steel, which would eventually be the hard cutting edge until I saw the design.
used to be able to see this process going over the west seattle bridge at night, purdy fn cool, we'd go down and watch, their rebar traveled much faster than this tho less than 1 second, longer too
