@@vivekanand9944 It's actually a strange loop. Even if Government try to build a City 25/30 Km away from main Cities(eg: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata) no existing person would like to move there as they don't want to compromise even slightest with their standard of living. Also renowned supermarket/malls/ retail chains who target a specific section if they don't get their target customer, I doubt they would like to hold their ground in the newly emerged sister Cities for at least 5-10 years. They would only start generating revenues only after 10-12 years. So, it's a consumerism cycle .
@@moiyankabose yes, but it would reduce the pressure that would otherwise build in Delhi 5 to 10 years later. Also, the condition in which delhi is today is lack of vision of every political on India
Our urban areas arw more dense and more connected (Due to high density) But in most cases, As big as yours. You all have larger cities with lesser density, Wide roads. Enjoy the Space u guys, You all are lucky to have massive parking lots and lawns
Nah I think American city's are more connected and has good infrastructure except for Japan, China, India still at mass urbanization and growing their infrastructure , China already started building quality infrastructure.
@@Daily_Anime_Videos They started years ago. We are also expanding our infra, But our cities are already too clogged and a lot of demolitions are happening and will happen. In my City, A 2 lane road passing in the middle of our formerly small city has been converted to 6 lanes. Concrete roads are being build, Several flyovers are in construction (Causing terrible jams at peak hours for now) and many tar roads are being converted to concrete.
Y a Centroamérica??
I don't know why, but whenever I try to watch a video of the biggest cities on the planet, every channel always adds the entire metropolis instead of just the city. A great example was São Paulo, which since 1997 is the largest city in the whole of America, but like all videos, Mexico City is always more populous due to its metropolitan region...
@@GreenWhaIe But like, you know this map is wrong and confusing. For an example, while New York has 8 million people in the city alone, Mexico City has the same number, but due to these graphics it looks like Mexico City is 2x bigger...
@@JCDenton2052 well, I think its tricky. Metro does give you the bigger picture, while Manila itself for example isn't very big, it is surrounded by tons and tons of dense urban sprawl, many of whom commute to and from Manila. I think its a more accurate representation to include their spheres of influence. On the otherhand, its tricky to decise where those limits end. For example, for Los Angeles, LA County is clearly part of the same sphere, but how much of Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Riverside? If you include them in their entirety they rival NYC's but some of these counties are rather empty the further east you go. So does Palm Springs count? Bit of a stretch but Anaheim definitely does, it begins to become arbitrary.
The thing is that I such humongous cities you can't just tell apart the metro area from the city itself. I'm from the metro area of Mexico city and when el driving or walking you can't just see where the city ends and the metro area begins, it is a continuum that you can't spot unless you have open Google maps or know where the border lands by memory. I guess that it is the same for other very large cities around the world.
Six Muslim cities ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 1.Dhaka 2.Cairo 3.Lagos 4.Karachi 5.Lahore 6.Istanbul Upcoming 7.Chittagong Also love for Bengali city Calcutta.One of biggest city in India ❤️🇧🇩
@@sip1375 ohh thats why Jews were constantly butchered and only now they are feeling safe and America is built on the blood of three ancient civilizations
Great vid, just a shame that Manila, Jakarta and Seoul are using the city propers, not the contiguous counts like the rest on this graph (all are over 20 million today). Likewise, Moscow at 17 million in 2021 should be up there. Also Guangzhou-Foshan-Dongguan-Shenzhen have physically merged into one city (as in you can walk on an urban street surrounded by miles of buildings on either side from one end to the other) and is missed out entirely -it's contiguous count was declared the world's biggest city in 2015 by the World Bank, at 37 million.
No...many countries facing decline in their population like Russia, Japan, Korea, Belgium and also 90% of the Indian States fertility rate also decrease to under 2 which shows decrease in population in future decades
@@jakethekiller-jisoo3170 It does matters bcz you cannot fit 30 to 40 million people in city. Also city proper cities have municipal corporation to govern but metro and Urban areas don't have as Metro and Urban areas are itself made by adding two or more surrounding cities.
@@jakethekiller-jisoo3170 Now as shown in the video about delhi. Delhi is actually union territory with 11 districts and New Delhi is the capital of India. New delhi is one of the 11 districts of Delhi. Delhi metro areas also includes surrounding cities of Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad which are itself big cities. That is why delhi is having more metro population.
That's only city proper. What this video is trying to show is the urban area near it as well as in the other populous areas near the cities that behave with the city proper as one. For example I live in Alhambra, CA. Alhambra has its own local government, has its own bus system, library, neighborhood distinctions, commercial areas including its own mom and pop restraunts and stores, its own school district with its own high schools, middle schools, and kindergarten-elementary schools, a branch of the YMCA, its own ramps and entrances onto the highways, and a section of the railroad, however I frequently visited the city proper before the pandemic and my dad works in the city so really Alhambra is part of greater Los Angeles as the people there frequently work in, visit, and identify with the city.
According to the Istanbul mayor's calculations based on official water bills dated 17.11.2022, 19 million 300 thousand people currently live in Istanbul. Now in January 2024, we can easily call the population 20 million or more. Istanbul is now in the top 10...
São Paulo being the most populated metropolis in the whole american continent, its not a surprise. Its a fucking huge city! Rio are also a huge city, with a giant population, but in terms of territory size, none city can compare to São Paulo, in the Americas. Cidade do México its also an extremly huge and important city, a cultural hub.
Don't worry bro Delhi density 11,312 people per Square kilometres & Dhaka density 23,234 people per Square kilometres 🙂 🥴 which is 2.1x more then Delhi I mean delhi isn't populated than Dhaka.

This list is wrong. Some cities are shown as aglomerations (Tokyo with 13 milion within city/New York with 8 mln, Paris with 2 mln), some - as metropolitan areas (Istanbul (15 mln in city itself), some - within city propers (Moscow, which is 20 mln in aglomeration and 17 within metro area). + Bombey is now Mumbai, Petersburg was called Leningrad.
This is incorrect, NYC population in 2020 was 8.4m while this vid said it was over 18m. They have confused the city for the entire state which is currently at 19m. In that case, London's population should be 56m which is the population of England. And don't confuse England with Britain which has a population of 64m, or the UK which has a population of 66m
I think that you are mistaking the population of New York state with New York City... NYC has 9M population as of 2019. The number you showed in the video (20M) is the population of New York State
@Federal Bureau of Investigation Even if it's the metro area, the number would be off anyway. The number for NY is the same as that of the state, and of course the metro area of NYC isn't the entire New York state
