@@nathantaylor6988 You must be the only Tory that has any affection for us. Boris the Bawbag has made his feelings very clear for us North of the border. And the feeling is reciprocated....although our is with a great deal of justification - his is just outright racism.
The way Scotland Fans are conducting themselves beautifully in the Euro in Germany brought me here. Thank you Scotland for this unbelievable musical moment captured in video and making the European Championship in Germany more successful with your presence. That is most noble. ❤
@TheGodEmperorofMankind and why tf is every cunt in northern ireland is called Mcneil Mcdonald Mcallisdair etc. Heard of the ulster plantation. The scottish king forced everyone to speak Scots and be prestbyterian in order to buy land in Ulster. Get of the moral fucking high ground
Great to see Ronnie there to sing the song. He must be so proud to be the owner of Scotland most favourite song. Himself and Roy certainly done us proud.
A proud Irishman here, but this is by far my second favourite anthem of any country. Sung by the Scottish supporters with such passion! And powerful lyrics “But we can still rise now and be a nation again that stood against him” awe inspiring 🏴🇮🇪
As a Scottish born Australian with 69% of my DNA being Irish, my heart and head belongs to Scotland. My heart and my head will always be Scottish. I apologise to my Irish ancestry.
I actually applauded at the end. Thanks Roy for writing it, thanks Ronnie for firing up the crowd, thanks Scottish Rugby for making it THE national anthem of Scotland recognised worldwide. Thank you. 👍
@@globe0147 I first heard Flower of Scotland actually sang by tne Corries live ib the 1975 in City Hall Newcastle on Tyne. I was in the crowded audience who were singing at the top of our voices along with the Fabulous Corries. IT WAS A BRILLIANT EVENING FOR EVERYBODY. A PROUD GEORDIE
Should still care...that anthem is fucking awesome! I'm Welsh and ours takes some beating. If you have this many people singing it at Hampden Park you'd put even us to shame.
Way I look at it, this campaign from game 1 has been about as low as it gets, so the on,y way is upwards. Hampden needs to be like this for the playoff games in March.
Hi Gregor. I'm south of the border but my local was a Scottish pub. learnt your "National Anthem" thanks to friends in the Crown. Along with Land of my Farther, Flower is the most uplifting experience at things like the 6 nations. Stay safe Pal
It was, until very late in the game. Barry Ferguson leveled up, and looked to be sending us to Euro 2008... Until a horrible refereeing decision knocked us out.
Such an unreal job by the man on the mic. He lights it up at the start, keeps it going throughout and finishes it nicely without milking the spotlight.
My full respect to the Scottish fans you are always very welcome in Germany Best regards from the German football club Borussia Mönchen Gladbach 🇩🇪🤝🏴
Scottish born and bred and proud of it 🏴🏴 the hairs on my arm are standing listening to this got goosebumps absolutely amazing wow fkn brilliant only way to describe it fkn epic
What an atmosphere and what a great voice to sing in front of all those people. It sounds like he is encouraging them for a brave battle that is about to happen! Such a remarkable moment to watch. Great respect from Serbia!
@@campbellcaraher1008 I am from Serbia and I do say that. Our team is shit and we didn't deserve to win, our friends from scotland did better job and I wish them all the best on Euro.
in 2007 I was in Murrayfield and my bestfriend was in Hampden too. I remember this moments as yesterday. what an atmosphere! Scotland, you're magic! 🏴🤩🇮🇹
South African born. My mom Afrikaans en my dad from 2rd generation Scotch decent. Been to Scotland and loved it. I sing the Scottish anthem with pride.
Who needs a leadsinger when the whole of Hampden Park roars along. Even such a iconic singer like the late Roy Williamson is simply here to set the pace. Hats off from Germany.
08 Feb 2021 It's most ironic that I come to this page after yesterday's ceremonial stuffing of England at Twickenham. Well done Scotland - we didn't give you the respect you deserved and so you thumped us!
O Flower of Scotland, When will we see Your like again, That fought and died for, Your wee bit Hill and Glen, And stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, To think again. The Hills are bare now, And Autumn leaves Lie thick and still, O'er land that is lost now, Which those so dearly held, That stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, To think again. Those days are past now, And in the past They must remain, But we can still rise now, And be the nation again, That stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, To think again.
my favourite sports day of the year is Scotland v France in the rugby and listening to the two greatest national anthems, two for the price of one, absolutely mind blowing.
Last remember running up from school when I was 13 to watch Scotland vs Brazil at France 98!! Great to see them back in the mix at a tournament!! We never do it the easy way but maybe that's what makes it so exciting 😂 Bring on the next roller-coaster
This song always reminds me of my dad who was a proud Scot, some of my only memories of him were watching Scotland in the six nations and him singing flower of Scotland at the top of his lungs💙, I miss him very much 💙🏴
My uncle CHRIS aint a blood relative. Hes ENGLISH. Saved at a match hammered,, he was stranger, wound up getting beat up. THEY STOLE HIS SHOES AND KICKED HIM UNCOCIOUS. My Dad and my uncles (in their 70's now) saved him. PUT a Scotand jersey on him, and dragged him back to our section. My uncle John was arrested for hitting a dude with a doubled up chain wrapped in duct tape. I WAS PETRIFIED. We got him home to his wife (now my aunt Sandra) them the hospital. Now hes my dass best bud That was the day it was explained to me, ‘see if it anye e fair un, step in and make it fair.... Ive always carried that. Got the scars an bones to prove it. Im 42 now and live in Canada. #RANGERS
Imagine singing your own bands song, which has now been adopted as the national anthem, in front of a packed Hampden for a crucial match. Must be some buzz for the boy.
I remember listening to this and Amy's version when the gallops closed. Expecting Scotland to finally break free. Im Swedish but that just Broke My heart. We sort of expected you to join Scandinavia back then
Greetings from Greece! You Scots are the best lads! Good luck with this Brexit nonsense, I hope one day you will return back to our common European family
@@johnmarston4012 there's a reason why the uk haven't all went independent that's because we'd struggle, we all bring things to the table that benefit each individual county and also we are all stronger as one because if we did go independent scotland and walse wouldn't have much armed forces, especially after the last fuck wit combined/got rid of regiments
