I feel like the last thing to get optimized in Steve's moveset is his blocks. They are difficult to use effectively, but I can wait for people to start getting insane stuff with them.

DesTr0 yeah it’s insane, it’s like a series of upsmashes, but u can get multiple by doing it on top of dirt block that breaks before the up smash ends, so it cancels it and you can trap them in another up to 70-80%

The minecart is broken. You can’t shield against an empty cart. It’s considered a grab, but it completely locks you like you’re buried but you’re still being dragged away by it. It’s rough on characters with less than average recoveries.

Don't forget you can jump out of the minecart while the opponent is in shield stun. So not only is the minecart safe on shield, you can actually punish the opponent AFTER they block it.

Honestly here’s hoping, most DLC characters launch and for a few days we all go “definite high tier” and then they end up not doing too much competitively, would love to see Steve mix things up

I think Steve Is an unique tier of Its own. He has too much control over stage, and off-stage, and I mean like, literally, he can stand up anywhere, and block your path effectively "while using smash attacks", and such. ' I wouldn't be surprised If It turns Into a controversy at some point :/

I think one of the best combos with Steve is to trap someone in a minecart that’s near the edge and when the minecart takes them off you use the pickaxe attack so it spikes and then kills them.

Steve’s down air is busted. Waaaay too strong for how fast it is. Sure it uses material but that’s no excuse for killing at 70 like it’s a full charged up smash off the top

You can also down smash right after you land to punish run-ins. Or leave the anvil on top of some blocks so that it stays as an active hitbox. It can actually combo into F-air if you practice with it enough, too.

@@LastStar007 Heal is practically useless because it barely does anything, and using it prevents it from popping back up in menu for a while. It’s RNG manipulation, because this way, he’s more likely to get good menu options.
