Basically people are just trying to find their match, there’s not actually any rules. New people can couple up with people that are taken leaving the other person to either recouple, be single or leave the villa. It depends on the season though every one has been slightly different and at the end of the show usually one couple that has been together the longest and are the strongest couple in the villa win money.

One thing I don’t understand is why they’re always so heartbroken when recoupling happens….they’ve known these people for weeks not months or even years, how much of an emotional attachment can you have with someone you’ve known for that short amount of time.

are u serious? these people spend 24 hours together. they make a huge bond. It’s not like school were you only have 7 hours a day not including Saturday or Sunday and we’re you have to work most of the time. They spend literally evry hour of the day together.

They spend 24/7 together and they're also completely shut off from the rest of the world without the possibility to just walk around outside of the villa etc. You'll need to have some people that you trust to get through that time. Plus you can easily fall in love during a couple of weeks. If your partner makes promises, shows his affection towards you, tells you he's imagining future with you - OF COURSE you'll be extremely sad if he then meets someone new and decides to choose her instead of you. And tbh it's just humiliating to stand there waiting for your partner and then being rejected in front of millions of people🥲
