Our adventure begins at the renowned Raikot Bridge, and from there, we set our sights on Astore Valley and Rama Lake. But before reaching this awe-inspiring destination, we had already conquered the world's second most adventurous ride to Fairy Meadows. As we traversed the road from Astore Morr to Astore, we couldn't help but be amazed by the thrilling and dangerous path, with landslides posing a constant challenge.
Astore Valley stretches an impressive 120km and covers a vast area of 5,000km2, nestled in the northern region of Pakistan, within the enchanting Gilgit-Baltistan state. This picturesque valley is situated on the eastern face of the mighty Nanga Parbat, a towering peak standing at a staggering 8,125 meters, often referred to as the "Killer Mountain" due to its perilous reputation for climbers.
Despite the difficulties faced during our journey, we pushed forward and reached the stunning Rama Meadows late at night. After a well-deserved rest, the next morning beckoned us to explore the mesmerizing beauty of Rama Lake, an exquisite body of water nestled in the heart of nature's embrace.
