Why i'm a Megalodon fan? Because the Megalodon had the most powerful bite force of any creature,Megalodon is big and I think no one could beat this king.

@missingno6216

The_retard 1970 because the erosion rate of rock is very slow. Most megaladon fossils we have found are from its teeth because its a shark and thus made out of mostly cartilage. Often the teeth wash up on shore where the water dosent affect them

Megalodons did not live in the deep sea, they lived in shallow tropical waters & would not have evolved to survive in the deep seas. If the creature still existed we would have seen them by now, therefore it's not in any way, shape, or form likely that it's still around.

I have a few theories of my own regarding the Megalodon's survival. Everything we "Think" we know about prehistoric creatures is based on someone else's discovery, interpretation, opinion and perception. And the fact that we have only explored 5% of our Oceans, leaves 95% open to Speculation and Debate. It is believed that whales adapted their feeding range to include the Water Column of the Ocean Floor during several (6 Recorded) Ice Ages. It can also be argued that the Megalodon used its Mesothermy (Found in Modern Sharks) capability to adapt to colder deeper water as a survival method to escape Extinction by Starvation. Another Theory suggest that considering both the Livyatan and Megalodon is believed to have gone extinct during the same time period. Perhaps the Livyathan went extinct because the Megalodon focused on them as prey during the Ice Age. Which is why the Livyatan went extinct and the Megalodon did not, surviving the Ice Age contrary to popular believe. The Megalodon was or perhaps still is 60 tons of bad attitude with a 40,000 pound force (lbf). The most powerful bone crushing, muscle lacerating bite force ever to dominate the Oceans. There is also the theory of Global Warming causing obvious climate change. What if the warming water serves as an invitation to dinner, inviting the beast from the deep where it has survived an extinction level event? Returning to its previously preferred habitat of shallower warmer water closer to land mass for both hunting and breeding as before?

Ricardo Garcia Modern sperm whales(see 8:52) can swim up to 27 mph, I don't see why Livyatan can't do the same. Most people think whales are fat, and slow, but in reality, even the giant blue whales can swim up to 30 mph.

Everyone says that "If plesiosaurs were alive today, we would be their dinner!" and stuff like that. But if Elasmosaurus was alive today, it wouldn't be able to eat you. It had a very small mouth for its body size, only about 1.7_2.3 feet in diameter. It primarily hunted small fish, using its HUGE neck to pop out of nowhere under them, as its body was below the school of fish it was hunting, and grab a few surprised fish, pull its neck back down, and repeat the process until it was full (or when all the fish were gone). This tatic is very efficient and it only hunted in deeper waters, so you don't have to worry about it rushing at you like a shark. It if was attacking you, it would simply use its sheer bulk to overpower you. It was likely docile (no predators ate it during its time) and would likely only fight back when provoked, like most animals. There WOULD be a problem with them and commercial fishing boats, however. I don't know if an Elasmosaurus would attack a boat if it was taking its food.
