Does one ask a soprano to rap? If you knew he couldn’t compete with a pop song, then why pick a pop song? If you only turned because you appreciated his audition, then you should have let someone else work with him but you didn’t - you fought for him, got him and then let him down! There are songs you could have picked, The Wolf by The HU is an example. It would have given the opportunity to combine both modern and harmonic vocals! And the comments “ he played an instrument” and “ did you really want to hear Bukhu sing? Really?? Did you forget, this contest is called The Voice?
the only one where you could actually hear him perform. The other amazing artist sang also at the top of his lungs over Bukhu so we could hardly hear what he even did. Pathetic from his coach.
When bukhu was asked if he thinks its unfair for him? You can clearly see it in his face that he almost said yes and wanted to say yes😢 He was just very kind and don’t want to cause drama. What a good soul
He should have said something. This business is not for nice people. You must be tough and stand up for what you want. His shyness showed he's (yet?) not fit for this business.
He looked disappointed by the song choice as soon as it was told to them. He mentioned lord of the rings sounding music... maybe he should of picked an Enya song or Aurora. Something theatrical!
@@nebucamv5524 There are plenty of examples of other singers on the voice who didnt have the confidence or toughness yet, but their coaches helped them develop that... Guy just failed him lol
This man is incredible. Bukhu’s voice is a real treasure. Mongolian throat singing is a beautiful form of singing. To be honest, none of the judges are in a real position judge him because as much as I respect them- they can’t do what he does… I think he deserves to be known world wide. It was beautiful and I would love to hear more. So relaxing and pure.
I agree completely with you...i think the show is made up to compare singers with each other, but i think, this voice is uncompareable and should have it's own stage...Bukhu, i wish you the very best for your future and i hope to hear some more soul touching songs of you...❤️
I agree with you 100%! Bukhu is absolutely amazing, and I thought the performance was beautiful. I really did. I truly believe that Guy loves the crafts of both music and voice and that he felt in his heart that he had presented the best of both men. And he DID. But, oh how I wish we could have heard more from Bukhu. What a wonderful, humble, talented man he is.
The ladies were so right, and Guy was so wrong. His comment when he announced the winner of the battle that "Johnny was just more suited to a show like this" showed how disingenuous he was being when he presented his sales pitch to get Bukuh to join his team. Yes, he appreciated Bukhu's talent, but clearly he was not prepared to be his advocate to move forward as far as possible. My estimation off Guy dropped significantly after watching this, and the exchange with the ladies, from being one off my favourite too being just one smoking many. Not only was he disrespectful of Bukha, but from his his extreme defensiveness, he was disrespectful of his fellow judges, and he was disrespectful of the viewing audience.
He would not say it, but we all saw and heard, and it was. That said; It should be pointed out that the instruction was for Bukhu to be throat singing during the verse which didn't happen. I don't fault Bukhu for this as the nature of the show gives limited time for such a collaboration, and very few musicians can play and sing at the same time until they know the instrumentation cold, which Bukhu did not have the time to accomplish. We suspect this is why he wound up just playing, then just singing, then just playing. Whereas his "opponent" needed only to sing which is comparatively easy, as no multi-tasking is required. So was it unfair? Yes. BUT! Is there a universe in which this format of show could have been fair to both of these contestants? Probably not. However, given the predatory nature of labels in the modern music industry, it may genuinely be to Bukhu's benefit to be able to walk away without anyone else owning any of his art, and still receive the exposure and acclaim that comes with competing in the spectacle. Something few aspiring musicians become aware of until it's too late. There is a REASON all the most successful artists have their own label, while all artists signed to a label never reach the same level.
The innocent hypocrisy of the two ladies, which I loved immensely while they were on the show, is that if Bukhu would have elected onw of them, they would have been in the same situation. From strictly the point of this being The Voice, anyone would have outperformed him. What he brings is not not necessarily a voice you could listen as entertainment but a unique style. Some of us are familiar with throat singing. His is different because of the split sound. He did not have the voice for The Voice, but we were happy to experience it.
This DEFINITELY was unfair toward Bukhu, period. Full stop! He's so talented and wayyyy beyond what anyone has ever done on the Voice! I hope his talent is heard far and loud, he certainly deserves it!
Theas judges dont hail from or know of what it is the come from a powerfull tribal clature so this is alien to them and thay dont understand what natureal beauty and art sounds like mongolian throat singing is a mighty and powerfull force but this made made it sound beautiful as he was hopeing his ancestors befor him herd him sing and thats hard to judge somehting you know nothing of and this man showed the art and beauty of mongola
The mainstream music industry is clearly not yet ready for such an amazing talent. Hats of to him. First ever contestant in any show that showed regard and respect to the back up band and honor these musicians. I, a musician myself, truly appreciate such gesture. Thank you Bukhu. You are a treasure to Mongolia and to us musicians.
@@drunkenpaddy6366comparing the hu to this guy is like comparing rap to traditional chniese music bro there is litteraly no point. The hu isnt mainstream at all like buhku is closer to being mainstream than the hu
I 100% agree with Delta and Kelly. Watching the battle after Bukhu's audition I was like "where in that whole battle did he get a chance to shine?". So glad that they saw that too and called it out. The way Guy worded his choice makes it look deliberate too...
Personally I would have gone with Buhku, there are thousands of people like Johnny (pop singers) in this world but Buhku's talent is rare and the voice is all about exceptional talent. Singing multiple notes at the same time is an amazing talent and something that we don't have much of in Australia, I was really disappointed when he asked the other judges if they had turned around for Buhku's voice. IMHO Guy did not showcase Buhku's talent effectively. It was clear in the rehearsals that Buhku did not see this working for him.
tbh I kind of got mad that Guy said at the end that the Voice was a competition more suited for someone like Johnny. Says who? He probably only said that because he didn't know what to do with such a unique voice. I think even by saying that he wasn't being fair to Bokhu. What WOULD have been fair is if he had asked Bokhu why he wanted to be on the Voice in the first place. And not saying that Johnny doesn't deserve to win the battle, but I did feel bad for him because Guy didn't know how to pick a song that would showcase both talents equally and therefore the performance couldn't be appreciated fully.
But why didn't anyone save him? I was sure it was gonna happen. However, this show may not be right for him. He's very unique, he doesn't need to compete against other singers, he can show his talent and shine on his own
No matter how you spin it, Bukhu was the accompanist and background vocals for Johnny. Guy did set him up and knew he was going to go through with Johnny from the beginning
@@igotnukes6011 Guy turned around for his voice BEFORE he did the throat singing. He didn't give Bukhu any singing in the song that he picked, how does that give him any chance. I've never watched this version of the voice but he has to be the WORST coach in the voice history.
The girls were absolutely right. Bukhu was done dirty. Such a beautiful man, there are no words that can really describe what he creates and how it makes you feel.
YES! Many, many people feel that way...I see people saying online they aren't going to watch "The Voice Australia" for awhile or anymore because Guy was allowed to do Bukhu dirty, so unfairly, like that.
That really sucks for Buku! I wish there was a better choice of song for him to sing and not be paired with someone with a voice so much more powerful than his. I think it was unfair
I actually thought he was going to be the prefect coach for Bukhu, but he really dropped someone with incredible talent. I think Bukhu was beyond his comprehension, musically speaking.
Here’s the thing; Bukhu CAN’T be judged. The show is NOT right for him. Not because he’s not talented, but because he is too talented. His talent can move mountains, and it could expand across billions of people. Bukhu’s talent is meant to be elsewhere and internationally recognised. He will succeed. This show was never going to cut it for him because his uniqueness is far from ‘Normal’. Putting someone into a show with one standard (‘normal’ singing) and expecting them to fit in is like putting a basketball player with a boxer. Both amazing, yet different. Buhku - your talent is impeccable and goes far beyond just a voice. 🎉
Yup, I was about to comment something like this too... I mean the battle was straight up dogshit, did not work out and not because they are bad, they both are very talented, but they have just so different genres which just don't mix so well and they got a song which was nowhere near to be compatible with both of them... So yeah, Bukhu is just something else :DDD
I thought when they chose him he wouldn't get past this stage. I didn't think they'd find a song that would suit two people with two totally different singing styles, one of which was Mongolian throat singing. As beautiful as it is it doesn't go with anything those judges would come up with.
Delta and Kelly were spot on! Bukhu definitely deserved more. Songs with softer background music and vocals would have allowed Bukhu to be heard. The loud noise in this song drowned out his talent. How unfortunate. I hope to see him on AGT! 🤞🙏
@@christianseibold3369 especially since he was lying. He turned around before Bukhu did any throat singing and he never let him actually sing. What did he get, 3 words in that song? I still wonder what he would've sounded like if we got to hear him sing a song...
Guy is pathetically self absorbed. This was all on his lack of understanding how to handle the situation at hand. If his job was to create content, then go off and produce content. But to put an artist’s future at risk because “YOU” want to make a beautiful song, rather than let the artist (that you suckered into selecting you as their “coach”) show off “their”talent in the best possible manner is just selfish and cowardly. Delta and Kelly were 100% correct in calling you out! A “battle” with one competitor silenced while the other is highlighted isn’t a “battle” at all, it’s leading a lamb to slaughter!
All of the judges turned around before the throat singing ever began. Bukhu was amazing in his audition, I think he would blow AGT away with his performance.
Exactly!!!!!! Guy treated Bukhu (not intentionally) like a one trick pony instead of recognizing that all the judges turned their chairs before Bukhu even demonstrated his ability to split his voice. Much love to you.
Bukhu didn't want to say it was unfair, probably because he didn't want to cause more drama. He didn't want to step on any toes, or hinder his chances of going forward by casting a negative light on Guy. You could see the emotions on his face and his body language during the judges conversation.
He didn't want to say anything because his culture is very humble and that would've been in his eyes just as disrespectful as him getting basically no vocal parts and he's the bigger man.
@@DDoubleDJ You’re right he didn’t say anything because of his culture and being respectful. Bukuh shouldn’t have been on the show. Wrong format for his talent. Sadly they all wanted him, but not exactly know how to market his talent. We really don’t know how he sounds vocal wise. I knew he wouldn’t last. He was going to be against singer. 🤷🏻♀️
My favorite moment was Bukhu's last words when he gave credit to others, and to his new friend he was supposed to be competing with. After standing there listening to the judges squabble for what probably felt like an eternity for them both, being disappointed by the decision, only to show Bukhu's amazing humility, grace, and sportsmanship. It was the most touching thing I've seen in a long time. I wish he were a friend I could spend time with.
@@kimmieh8419 Thank you. Never before have I been accused of choosing the right words ! I'd like to talk to you some time too. My philosophy is to never refuse having a new friend or a hug ! hehehe ^_^
I am soooooo glad they spoke up for Bukhu. It's wasn't fair. Good for you, Kelly!!! She was correct. WHY TF DID HE CHOOSE HIM IN THE 1ST PLACE😡? He knew darn well he didn't know what to do with him.
The girls are spot on I definitely felt the same ! Bukhu knew as soon as he mentioned the song you could see his face. He knew it suited Jonny better. Unfair for sure !! I’m glad they stood their ground.
this isnt the first time aswell. guy is the most corrupt judge on the panel and thats saying something because george has definetley had his momments. He needs to get gone.
No matter what Guy says he did not let him saying on the performance, period, end of story…l he fought for him to be a one hit pony instrumental and never wanted the guy singing because he says he is not relevant & it’s not pop..who ever said the show was all about pop? He used him just to sacrifice him for one unique sounding performance that wasn’t even a battle with no intention on keeping him afterwards.
Yes I agree. Kelly and Delta were definitely more clear on this. I think it's often true that the way women are raised in childhood often gives them a bit of an edge to be able to read people deeper and understand subtle issues, either musically or in life in general .
@@kyraumanoff6754 spot on but also there are some good coaches on other voice shows like will he knows what hes doing there is also sir tom its just guy who has no clue on how to coach people that arent pop musicians
Bhuku is not only the definition of breathtaking talent and musical beauty but also of grace, respect and a real musician. In all of the years watching any Voice programs, I have never seen any of the participants take the time to honor and give props to the backing musicians. I hope some smart people give Bhuku a recording deal because I'd sure buy his album!
Bhuku have my respect for acknowledging the musicians( house band ) for the hard work and the music they produce the whole season…such a voice with a big heart …humble being …❤
I 💯 agree with Kelly and Delta after the battle. As I was watching, I was confused and felt it was an unfair battle that pushed Bukhu in the background. He is beyond any singing competition. I hope he is acknowledged and celebrated for what he is able to do with his voice.
well to me ain't about the judges, it's about the game rules. In a game called "the voice" where people are in a singing competition it seems mandatory to have a rule specifying that each contestant must have the same duration of vocals, or almost the same. Also it sounds more logical to create a "the voice mongolia" than to try to make a contest between occidental pop music and traditional mongolian music... Maybe he should have gone to something like america's got talent where they already compare very different things together.
Bukhu is one of the most wonderful singers I've heard in my LIFE. His voice is flawless, his soul shines through the whole thing. The world needs this.
Honestly, i think that this needs to be reviewed. It’s absolutely not fair to let it end just like that. I really feel disappointed and sorry for Bukhu!
i mean it was hard for the coach to match his style and the other guy sang very well too. Atleast Bukhu got the exposure, he is on spotify if you want to listen to any mediation music
@@bagtea Thank you very much for your reply. I already found him but thanks anyway. I know it was kinda hard, however, i feel that Bukhu got absolutely no justice here… the stage was created to showcase Johnny Manuel’s voice the best possible… so Bukhu fell into his shadow “merely” backing him with his exceptional skills. But here, in this format/competition it’s the voice or singing that counts. Bukhu got the chance to demonstrate his awesomeness and originality as a unique “musician” but was entirely left out as a “singer”… One needs to differentiate and recognize that you can’t put these 2 completely different mesmerizing artists in a battle! It’s just not fair at all. Well, at least to my humble opinion. 🙁
It's unfortunate that they had such a unique talent, but instead of rising to the challenge and finding a song that both artists could shine with, Guy already chose his winner before the team even came together for the first time. That's why he gave Bukhu the backup music as his battle part. Bukhu should've chosen Boy George. He would've found a more creative approach instead of copping out.
Anybody would have had a really hard time grouping him with anyone - His style of music is nowhere near our usual music - It would not have been fair no matter who he was battled with - He was on the wrong type of show.
It was not about the type of Show Bukhu was on...Talent is talent no matter how you slice it or dice it. I do however agree that Guy dropped the ball and didn't know what the heck he was thinking when he chose that song for them. Sadly, Guy copped out and wasn't creative or artistic enough to choose a song to highlight and showcase both artists.
@@virtualwhispers Anybody? Even if I were there, I wouldn't have a hard time. There are so many songs out there, guy just doesnt have the talent to choose. Clear.
@@moparman1962 Yes I agree. I almost just turned it off because of how unfair it was. But I stuck it out and saw the children argue and embarrass themselves. Should have been done over in my opinion.
Such a shame, his initial performance was surreal. He is in group all by himself....really a shame he wasn't stolen. I would listen to him every day during meditation. I hope he goes viral on here all by himself.
He’s better than all the judges. Not only can he sing and play an instrument, but can also sing two pitches at once with his voice?! They can’t do that!!!
That truly was the most unfair battle I have ever witnessed on the Voice. It wasn't fair to Bukhu to be placed in that situation, but then again he is a talent of another kind, another plane - how do they place him in a fair battle. Having said that, I hope to see Bukhu in concert some day here in the States.
The girls were 💯 correct…Bukhu was only backing him up and wasn’t afforded the opportunity to showcase his own unique singing at his fullest potential. He definitely felt like a backup singer to me, too. If one were to close their eyes and listen to this music and singing in its entirety, you’d never guess that there were two singers battling it out for the best vocals, because we barely heard Bukhu singing…at all. Johnny was given the starring role, while Bukhu was given a “guest appearance”…..sooooo unfair to Bukhu. Having said that, it was an absolute beautiful performance. I could listen to them perform together all night long! At least, we were able to see Bukhu’s talent with playing the horse instrument, which was hauntingly beautiful as he accompanied Johnny’s beautiful voice. Bravo to them both.
I agree with Delta and Kelly as well. It wasn’t fair for Bhuku that he wasn’t able to show his vocal talent. They shouldn’t have been matched together in the same place. Bhuku needs to get another chance
Absolutely. I think Guy realized how special Bhuku was, but also had no idea what to do with him. Instead of trying to find a way to give him a fighting chance, Guy used him to enhance Johnny's performance. If Guy wasn't going to give Bhuku a real chance, he should have let another coach choose him.
if Guy want to put Bhuku into that earth song, I would prefer Bhuku to sing his Mongolian song coherent to earth song, then to make him more like a back up, i totally did not see Bhuku shine at all with just that instrument. Any strings instruments can play that tune. If you're a good musician make 2 songs into 1 beautiful piece, then there's something.
I am from Mongolia. And we are so proud of both of you guys, Johhny and Bukhu ❤ spectacular performance! I am happy to know that people really like our traditional throat singing and Morin khuur /the instrument/.
I always close my eyes and feel how my soul takes to the sky, feeling an amazing kind of freedom and peace. I want to visit Mongolia and really experience your history and culture.
Kelly and Delta were spot-on. This wasn't fair to Bukhu at all, and he's just too polite and reserved to say so. Guy seems to have a habit of hoovering up interesting singers by drawing them in with all these promises and talk, then pitting them against talented but conventional singers on conventional songs, and then choosing the conventional singers over the less conventional ones when *shock of all shocks* the conventional singer and conventional song suit each other better. He did Bukhu dirty, and that's just that. And it shows just how limited GUY HIMSELF felt Bukhu's contribution could be, in the way he seemed to think that a: the 'moment' was more important than the singer's chance to show what he can do on this SINGING COMPETITION SHOW and b: that the only way Bukhu could have shone was to sing a Mongolian song polyphonically the whole time. As though he didn't start his blind audition singing 'normally' (that is, monophonically), and turn at least some of the chairs before he even started singing polyphonically. LIterally any of the coaches would have been a better choice than Guy. I'm so gutted for Bukhu. I hope this experience didn't discourage him too much.
I agree I knew he would chose Guy and get dropped, Goerge had the right idea for him, I am angry with Guy, why do this to him, Guy you drop people after great promises.
Love that Delta and Kelly spoke up. I thought the same thing watching the performance, it was clearly Johnny in the spotlight and him alone. And though he's an exceptional singer this wasn't fair to Bokhu. How can Guy say "you guys are more interested in a competition" when that's exactly what they're doing? It's the Voice. Like what??
Fair. But finding someone to have a head to head battle with Bhuku would always be a challenge; and the way Kelli went on (including saying she wasn't going to go on) etc was equally unfair to the preformers
@@rachelsavard851 I agree with you that it would be difficult to find someone to challenge Bhuku and to find a song that works for both singers' styles. But I do think that Johnny had more 'singing time' than Bokhu, and the song choice could have been better. Even if Bokhu did the instrumentals acapella, I think that would have been more fair. I'm sure if Guy had made it a little more equal, Kelli wouldn't have gotten so mad as she did and there wouldn't have been an argument in the first place.
100% agree with the ladies that just felt dirty seemed more like a set up that a battle if all he was there to do was instrumental then he may as well been back with the band not center stage ... i agree that finding a song that would represent them equally would be difficult but then dont pair him with someone super 'Pop' genre as Guy said on a fucking MJ song this was absolutely intentional he knew who he was going to pick to go on before the song was picked and he did everything to highlight that person and its unfair top both of them as the women said because now were sitting her talking about how they did Bukhu dirty and that took center stage over the performance and the other guys singing anyway
I completely agree, and my opinion of Guy dropped considerably watching this. I find it hard to believe he is so daft about it. Delta and Kelly are spot on.
Bukhara’s voice is so unique and beautiful. He deserved much more recognition. I hope the exposure he got will only be a stepping stone toward greater things. Guy did not do him justice.
It waa obvious less than a minute into their performance. "How is this a battle?!?" Delta was right. Beautiful, amazing collaboration! Amazing musical moment. Horribly one-sided coaching for a battle.
I know. It was over before it began, really. VERY short set. I expected Bukhu to sing at least five lines. He would of done well on a Pink Floyd album.
Guy was more caught up on "creating a moment" for TV than he was about providing these two men with a fair battle. This show isn't about creating a moment. It is a real opportunity and competition for these two performers, it's not Guy's moment to shine as a producer. Absolutely unfair to Bhuku. He has an amazing gift and he wasn't able to showcase it.
I agree. Guy's comment about "creating a moment," was a little self serving. Guy's role on the show is to create a vocal battle to judge the performers against each other, and assess who has more talent to proceed further in the show. I wonder what any of the other judges would have done had they been selected by Bukhu. I actually thought he was going to go with George or Kelly.
I completely agree with both ladies, Delta and expecially Kelly. Guy should've allowed her express her opinion. That was unfair and silly of him. It's true, I didn't feel the battle between Bukhu and Johnny one bit. I was very dissapointed, I wanted to hear his great vocals too along side that throat sound. Johnny has a great voice yes, but I think the choice of song made Johnny outshined Bukhu more, and that was unfair. I think Guy delebrately paired them, and chose a song that will best suit Johnny, just so he could choose Johnny during a battle.
Al the judges have their favorite so even if you are better then the other the judge will pick the other... That happend with a lot of judges... by all the different voices..
I feel so bad for Bukhu. He is definitely a star among many, and he will shine brighter. He is humble, lovable, kind, talented, respectful, a wonderful father and a husband, and a whole lot package coming from him. I pray for his success!
Guy totally failed. He went for the safe choice. Delta and Kelly were right to object. I wish Delta hadn't dropped it--she was 100% RIGHT!!! Bukhu, I could listen to you all day and never get tired of hearing your voice or your instrument. Let us know when YOUR music is available for purchase--we're all gonna put it on our playlists!!
If you search Bukhu Gangburged on RU-vid, he does have a channel and uploads his own music. He's on Spotify and Apple music also. Just sharing the info as I just found his channel after watching this.
The moment that Guy proposed the song for the battle and the way how the singing parts would be divided among both contestants, it was already clear that Bukhu got the backing part and Jonny would do the singing. That is so unfair because Bukhu never got the chance to prove his singing qualities, but only is quality in playing the horse fiddle. If you don't know what song to choose to bring out the voice of your candidate, don't take him in your team!
You are not alone in your thinking there but I think Guy could have been fairer by finding a song that Buku could have used his voice more, Delta and Kelly I think were right and I also think Guy knew way before the battle who he was going to put through, it was a mismatch of two talented people, where one amazing man lost out
Unbelievable! Bukhu's talent. And the kindness and respect he shows. This was not the right stage for him because it inadequately represents his talent and ability. A true soul. He will find his place and those of his world will find him. Wonderful.
This is the most ridiculous way of combining two very distinct talents. Even before it ended I knew it was wrong. The Mongolian guy is such a decent person and he accepted it gracefully. If he was with Kelly or Delta this would never have happened. So proud of Kelly and Delta. All judges are good but sometimes poor decisions can be made. I guess even monkeys fall off trees????
Guy has blown it many times with his pairings and his song choices for the pairings...a LOT of people are saying so, because they've NOTICED IT and because it is hard to NOT NOTICE IT.
He never should have been on this competition. It was the wrong forum for him. It was the shows fault in the beginning for even letting him on. AGT would have been a better competition for him to showcase his talent.
Oh my gosh. This made me cry. Bhuku has such a huge heart. He really acknowledged the musicians behind him that are usually not really given the attention and praise for the amazing work they do.
10:19 -- love you Guy but as you said that you'll watch this back so many times... I hope you see that it was not magic but truly a disaster. We're rooting for you Bukhu!!! Seriously a treasure.
Throat singing is always just enchanting and magical, it's beyond any TV shows to cater. Bukhu just needed that stage for exposure and for people to see his culture and not to compete because even before he auditioned for The Voice, he already won; as for polyphonic is extremely difficult to master and he was able to achieve such vocal complex. He doesn't need The Voice; *HE HAS THE VOICE.*
Masterful technique. Last time I saw a throat singer on the voice, they got shot down fast. It's an amazing technique and powerful. But It's too "traditional", if you want to succeed on the voice, you have to be able to combine it with more popular music. There are a few bands out there that have done it, but none of them have made it completely mainstream. EDIT: As I get further with this video, I understand. They are using this guy to be inclusive and showcase another culture, but they have no interest in making this mainstream. Hey look at this! Anyway... here's the next act....
Throat singing done by many cultures. Ethnic groups in Canada, Japan, Africa, Italy, India, and Mongolia. They style of throat singing can vary from each culture.
The other judges were spot on. You know, they all turned before he started throat singing, Guy "I've got to see this" as he turns his chair, later saying, he didn't turn for his voice. His sound was overwhelmed by all the music and theatrics. He became the backup, and even as the backup his sound was drowned out. If he'd had a moment of calm solo, it could have been beautiful. I was desperately trying to hear him over all the loud sounds. The struggle to have his throat singing loud enough. It wasn't fair. These guys did this man and his talent a disservice. MJ's original song had a lot more calm and delicate power.
YES! Well said. The performance actually started quite softly and could have stayed that way throughout. Instead Bokhu didn’t get to come in with any vocals at all until everything was way too loud.
Delta and Kelly were absolutely right and if I were in that room, I would have had to contain myself not to lash out against guy, who just couldn’t admit he didn’t give Bokhu a fighting chance here. So damn unfair. You could also see both singers were uncomfortable in this situation from the very beginning, and die God reason
Honestly though this is “ the voice” who could Guy have placed with Bokhu to make it fair. You all are ridiculous. Bokhu is NOT a singer not like Johnny or the rest of them. They were uncomfortable up there because delta started this shit, and I noticed the girls didn’t save him so they are hypocrites!! SMH
@@f.m.bproductions7197 no he went on a show called “ the voice” it is pretty straight forward! @@Kimmy58 No Kim, it is you that is ridiculous and clearly missed the point. If Buhku does not belong on the voice then why the hell did all the judges turn around early, simply because of his voice and ability to sing 2 notes at once. So Kim as stated it is you that is ridiculous making uneducated claims about a subject you are clearly not versed in enough to understand. All 4 judges wanted him for a reason which has clearly escaped you, I assure you that's part of the reason they were annoyed with Guy because they would have done all they could to give him a fighting chance. The fact that you discount his voice and talent shows how little you understand and appreciate the complexity of his level of singing and the impact on his voice this has.
He kept saying “I do it to create moments”. Isn’t that making it more about himself rather than honoring both contestants in a way that allows them both to shine?
The judges are in no position to judge Bukhu with all due respect. Bukhu's song and voice is overwhelming. It's a blend of awakening, relaxation, remorse, joy, pain... so much more🙆♀️

Kelly and delta were 100% correct. Like damn near any modern James Bond songs would have worked. Guy set buhku up to fail and never gave him a real shot. Your the coach it’s his job to find somethings that catered to his and Johnny voice. Truly a missed opportunity. Made him a back up artist.
Kelly and Delta forced him to choose Johnny Bukhu had a chance, they did really well I was excited to see how it would blend...I wasn't expecting that horror show from these 2 ladies...killed the whole vibe.
They may have been correct, and they also should have had enough tact to only highlight the best parts of each performance instead of being critical of Guy and the song choice. I think if a song better suited to Bukhu was chosen, it would not have been fair to Johnny. Because Bukhu's talent is so unique, I don't think a totally fair battle would have been possible.
@@matthewputzrealestate8501 my only reply is that your the coach you make a way to make it fair. All the best coaches from sports to entertainment know how to blend a team together. Guy was unsuited for the job. Pharrell is some with a good ear and most likely could have found a balance.
Bukhu was outstanding! I do believe the battle wasn't fair, but I don't see any way for it to have been... Their talents are so different... while Jhonny's being way more loud and obvious and Bukhu's being subtle , delicate and pure..
Bukhu - Incredible performer, but most of all he offered us an incredible lesson. Humble and down-to-earth. Amazing human being which happens to have an amazing talent.
This performance has got to be the most unusual but entertaining I have seen through watching hours of these talent contests. Not only are the duel voices so unique, but his delivery is outstanding. Nothing I have seen compares to it.
I disagree. Battles are a part of the show and there’s no fair way to put Buhku against anyone so putting him in a moment with Johnny was the best way to show case him. If I’d been Guy I’d have asked the girls what they’d done in a battle. He can’t “out sing” anyone in an actual Voice battle so any attempt to do that to him would have been truly unfair.
@@bladeaddison3189 Intentionally or not, Guy totally positioned Bukhu as back-up for Johnny Manuel. I think Guy bit off more than he could chew and simply had no idea what to do with a Mongolian throat singer. I think he honestly loved the uniqueness of Bukhu's voice, but was just lost on how to showcase it, thus focusing on Johnny. Both Johnny and Bukhu were pure class the whole time, and both are amazingly talented.
@@verpine3534 … I understand what your saying but I guess my point is when you’re on the voice and in battle rounds where both singers go back and fourth in the same song to establish a winner there is no good way to put Bukhu against someone. To my knowledge there’s never been a mainstream song that featured a Mongolian throat singer as lead, and there’s never been one with a duet either so what’s Guy supposed to do? It’s battle round! If you use a song that showcases Bukhu as lead then anyone else against him is getting the shaft. There is no good way to feature him in the battle round. If you think there is then I’m all ears. What would YOU have done as a coach in this round? What song would you have used?
Because music is a Universal language, that bypasses the part of the brain that associates known words with images, and touches the deepest part of your emotions. Not all music - only the best music. This was an absolutely absurd match-up.
Bukhu's voice and music is on a entirely different level. He is so very unique and talented. We here power vocals every day. But the hauntingly beautiful combination of his voice and music is unlike anything I have ever heard. I absolutely loved it and I will be looking forward to hearing a solo album from him
The blind audition was truly incredible. I was moved to tears by Bukhu's performance. Outstanding. Though in regards to the 'battle' I have to agree with Delta and Kelly and I am very glad that they stood up and said it out loud. Bukhu deserved better. I think he made the only possible bad choice with the judge he picked.
As I said in the above comments…I disagree. Buhku isn’t able to truly “Voice” battle the way the show is done, so giving him a “moment”, which I enjoyed, was the only true fair way to allow him to be a part. There is no fair way to have him in a battle round.
YES! Guy had to know he was giving Johnny a huge unfair advantage by BOTH the song choice AND the volume of the song AND the amount of time Bukhu got to play and sing. It is not the first time Guy has done something like that, he either has bad judgement or he is simply unfair as a "coach".
I agree with Delta and Kelly. This was unfair to the amazing Bhuku. I'm glad the women stood up for fairness even though the men couldn't understand why this was wrong. Way to go ladies. I hope big things happen for Bhuku as a result of the show as he is such a talented vocalist and musician.
YES! Guy was NOT fair to Bukhu with the song, the loudness of the whole performance or with Bukhu's small roll during the song, not at all! The poor guy didn't stand a chance in that "battle" (yeah, right)!
Definitely another weird decision by Guy. There have just been too many now. The choice of song was totally unfair. I love Jonny, he gives me goosebumps every time I hear him. Contestants take care when you choose a coach going forward.
Bukhu chose Guy due to their ethnic commonality but erred as Guy is more biased to contemporary music. So he was really set-up to FAIL in the battles. JMHO.
it was like what Guy already chose whom he wanted to go forward in the show. Both are talented 💯 but Bukhu what an amazing person with great personality. wish him success in what he do and his Mongolian music
Bukhu Ganburged has a incredible musical talent. I hope that a CD of him will be available soon. My wish would be in 24.192 or as DSD format. The color of voice, song and instrument is the true beauty. Bukhu Ganburged is off the hook and way too good for this show. Bukhu Ganburged is a true musician and not a test tube baby!
Let's face it, this guy was way too talented for this show, and the judges would have no way of helping him other than to give him a platform. Even if you have the _temerity_ to disregard his immense two-tone throat singing, even the horse-fiddle playing and his "normal" singing alone are completely otherworldly and transcendent. To be able to take the audience to another place totally and completely capture their attention in a spellbinding way is a true gift. Movie composers should definitely hire him. Thank you Bukhu Ganburged for gracing the Voice with your magic.
all the drama aside, it's very heartwarming for me when Bukhu give an appreciation for the band back there, as someone who works as a homeband vocalist, I really feel appreciated, thank you Bukhu, such an amazing artist, we don't see many people like him nowadays, he doesn't need the voice anyway, he's already a winner to me ❤️
