@@columcunningham4458 Exactly what I just wrote. Never thought this would happen already this year. We hade an average age last season of 21 I think...this should not be possible to contend for the title. What a team this is and will be
I listened to Reiss Nelson's interview after the Bournmouth game and what I found really interesting was something he said about the goal. He said when we got the corner he was hoping to just get one chance, that the ball would fall to him. He WANTED to be that guy,and believed he could be the guy to do it. A player that has been out injured for months is normally short on confidence and sharpness. He was far from that. I have never seen that before. What is going on at Arsenal? The environment behind the scenes must be so positive, focused, organized and well put together for that to happen. There must be a huge support system for the players from the staff. You get this sense of one massive combined effort. Shown when all the staff ran onto the pitch to celebrate.
Remember the community shield final against Liverpool in 2020 when he went to penalties. Reiss Nelson took the first penalty and people weren’t expecting that so a journalist asked arteta why it was Reiss and Arteta said that Reiss stepped up and said I wanna take it. Mikel said he was amazed about the self confidence and mentality Nelson had
Even if we (Arsenal) don't win the league, the rollercoaster of emotions we went through this season will live with us forever. What a SEASON, unbelievable.
I bet most gooners would have taken top 4 at the beginning of the season, I certainly would have done. That we have been treated to quality football and that the side is the youngest in the premiership you have to to take you hat off to the coaching staff and the scouts. Now the real issue is Arsenal hold on to them all and can they pay them all. But this season for me has only been beaten by the invincibles run to my mind, simply for fact that If you said the Gunner are 5 points ahead of City at this stage you have said "you're 'aving a larf mate" #COYG
7 for me, and can just barely remember parts of the 2001/02 double winning side, bergkamps wonder goal against Newcastle is pretty much my first memory. We've a few sides finish 2nd or be in title races since then and fall short, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2014 and 2016, like you said its been a hard road and still aways to go!
here is the thing though, i think the invincibles would wipe the floor with this young team. i mean viera and gilberto would boss the midfield. the old guard would do to this attack what chiellini did to saka at the world cup. and berkgamp and henry would terrorize, absolutely terrorize this young defense. goes to show how fantastically good we were then
I was 15, mate, and remember every bit of that magic like it was yesterday. This team’s made me feel that way again after all these years and I’m gonna bawl with happiness after the 19-year-wait. 😄😄
@@arturzathas499 I think the young guns would make a good showing against the Invincible. Am very impressed with Arteta and his squad and find them exhilarating.
What many don't realise is that this is no fluke, those seasons in 8th and 5th respectively have been lessons that we can clearly see that they have learned from. They'll continue to grow from strength to strength. Long may it continue for the Gunners.
what a great video. Everything. The music didn't take the emotion away from the games, the balance of seeing the goals, the tackles, the saves and the celebrations was spot on. I salute you!
Just brilliant, arsenal this season had me on tears of joy, we are waiting for so long to this moment, we deserve it lads! Despite the result in the end of the season, we as a fans are happy with the display of our team
i mean im always getting goosebumps wathcing this , i will never forget this arsenal , arsenal that proved everyone wrong and that u can bottle the league even with 8 point clear being almost whole season at the top , never forget !!!
This season has been Haikyuu-esque for us so far tbh. Once powerhouse school of Karasuno with good experienced players are joined by 4 first years, who in their own right are great and are hungry to fight for the team, fight for their position in the team. They make history by getting back to national tournament by beating the team that has been winning prefecture finals year in year out for few years. Our new players along with couple experienced players are doing something similar. They are hungry to fight for the team and fight for their position in the team. We are trying to go toe to toe with a team that's been winning PL on a consistent basis for past few years. I am proud of this team, this manager, this coaching staff and everybody involved with this success we have got so far. It would be gut wrenching to not win the title but we should stand behind this team as long as they stay hungry to compete with the best of PL and not be content with getting top 4 on consistent basis like we did in late Wenger years.
Been a Gunner since Ian Wrights days. Said to my friends already last year that we are going somewhere with this team. But with average age of 21 years last season I never thought we would be up there as contenders already...! With this development and the guys getting more experience by each game we will be unstoppable for years, not matter what the other teams invest:) COYG
Even though Trossard's goal against Leicester was not given - it was so spectacular it had to be in here! (It's a crime it was chalked off, nothing warranted that)
This is my first year getting back into football since watching it as a child. The World Cup reminded me how much I love the game, and what a year to come back as an Arsenal fan growing up
From my childhood I had been supporting arsenal for so long but this season has surprised me how arsenal is doing it's best, I have never seen this before or it's b'se I wasn't there at the invisibles season but still I have never had of those records I only hear that they could score before stoppage time
I've been through it: League Cup defeat to Birmingham, UCL heartbreak to Barcelona, humiliated by Chelsea (6:0) and UEL Final, 8:2 to Muted, bullied by Bayern München... Finally I can breath #COYG
This was an awesome season it's so sad how it looks now. How I wish we somehow win this league. Hope we do this next season we need new tactics, formations and style of play to cope with some teams. That is with good depth in the squad.
spot on. I think that is what we lacked after Saliba injury and player fatigue. The fact that arteta didn’t adapt fast enough in certain games to deal with them.
