I was on set of this episode with the young 14 year old Jason Bateman when I was also 14. My dad worked for the studios. I got to watch them film that whole episode and the stunts, it was fun. Highlight.... Jason Bateman was a cutie!

That first stunt is just awesome! Remember that since the first time I saw it so many years ago. Sure, it's 4 different stunts edited together and impossible as the Blazer flips over the parked car, but you have to admit the idea for that sequence is just awesome

I always find it amusing that workers would build a scaffolding next to a pylon. Never mind though, at least the guy on the falling scaffold had a big X painted on the road to aim for. And later Kitt has trouble getting the CO2 to work. It won't stay on at first. This was a great collection of chase scenes. And I really like that video transition effect you used between episode clips. Thank you.

That turbo boost at 5:30 actually utilized a camera inside the car! That looked like a picture perfect jump coming down flat but something obviously happened since they cut to the rear angle for the landing. Either the car showed damage upon impact or there was a filming problem. Sure would love to see all the cut footage from these stunts. Who else would pay for a collection of out-takes from this show and others such as Dukes of Hazzard, fall guy, Airwolf, A-team?

Don't think anything special happened against it, they film from a lot of angles most of the time and they showed a few of them in that one, standard stuff. One thing that did happen is that the hubcap fell off, you can see it from the landing footage.

@@X363 Thanks Yes I see that now. And I watched the out-take reel that shows another angle. The front left hubcap came off. I'm sure they were upset about that happening to an otherwise perfect ramp. If it had been the right side no one would have noticed

You did? Or they did? Because, perhaps they didn't quite forget. Perhaps this jump was from much higher up, plus after that time in Goliath returns, KITT did say that he would rather be turned into a Toaster Oven than to do that again, & During the episode before the successful jump in Goliath Returns, he had Also mentioned that teetering over the edge of oblivion had spoiled his tastes for heights. ♞

I loved when studrivers just pulled out a good job, like this Scandinavian-Flick-To-Handbrake-Turn at 0:25. Didn't even have to do jumps to make things spectacular. They should have been given time and budget to do a lot more. I would watch an episode where there is even no case to resolve, just FLAG doing some testing and stuntdrivers really using what that Trans Am could do. Junkyard Dog had high ratings and 80% of that episode was just repeated tests on a track.

@BobRoss-oy4it Not that I know of yet, though much of K.I.T.T.'S tech has come to real-time to an extent: Cars can talk back, GPS, safe lane, two way communications via Bluetooth & wi-fi even, more digital displays, self parking, etc. No match for K.I.T.T but it's a start.

There are actually interesting stories about that. A bunch of the stunt cars they got came from a train that derailed on its way to canada, and some of the damaged cars were recovered, and loaned to the studio on the condition that they absolutely must be destroyed and not allowed to be registered as street legal vehicles again.
