and sadly VCRs are only getting harder to find as more of them stop working AND thrift stores wont even take them anymore. i got a lucky find vcr+dvd combo player thrifting and tho i was a few bucks short, the employees were like "take it please" LOL
On the topic of the cannibal mouse segment, Adam Savage does have a rough cut of the episode but Discovery forbids him from releasing it; meaning it probably won't see the light of day. Its a shame too, I could easily see the editing crew cutting out any footage of the actual mouse gore and just having the hosts' reactions to it when the segment was supposed to air.
Odd because I remember an episode where they tested this exact myth, while I don't remember mice I do remember the use of special method to the determine calories value of fruit loops and cardboard, testing heat produced or something... I am from Mexico btw
i think the myth busters video was banned for the animal cruelty, not for the cannibalism. cannibalism is fairly normal in a lot of species, especially when there’s little to no food available
Lost media is very interesting, yet quite disturbing. Imagine a certain thing that was once known to eventually no longer seeing the light of day again.... For better or for worse.... Also, nice video, Morbidforfun!👍
Great video! Just fyi, babushka means grandmother or old lady not the scarf she wears. They are associated with wearing scarves/shawls as it's typical of older women from Eastern Europe, thus the nickname.
I guess the cardboard diet was so lacking in nutrients that the mice were essentially starving on it, and that's why the one mouse turned to cannibalism to survive.
@@shampersto be fair many myths in the series are just that, we just see the episodes because we love the hosts and the experiments to prove or disprove them ate interesing
When shanking babies like that was considered a joke or gag. So around the early 2000s, late 90s. Family Guy done it with Stewie, South Park, then SpongeBob did it to Mr. Krabs, and then I think it stopped being used as a joke in the mid 2000s. It later turned into shaking a person and then slapping them out of whatever it is they're freaking out about but I think even that stopped as well, I don't see it as often on TV. But I don't watch TV or cartoons anymore.
Never thought I’d see JOHNASCUS on a lost media list. He was selling shirts with the design on it and I never actually knew it was an actual song. The uncensored tape if I remember went for like 100 bucks and it was sold on his shop and on tour
post the JFK situation, news stations were warned not to air any footage or information... it was considered triggering... some things are best left under cover
At one point pif (public safety films) use to be longer than a normal PSA. Pif got shorter once the internet hit....I went through a phase being involved in the PSA/PIF community
Ok so you may not know this but I'll censor some words And yeah, This Lost Media is real creepy Cooking Class C-word was a Gacha Life horror film, referred to as a horror GLMM. Very little is known other then a fandom post and the original, now terminated, RU-vid link. The fandom summary says that it follows a boy in a cooking class and sees his friend, who is typically very happy, start to get bullied in school. He decided to take revenge and become a Cooking Class C-word, then eventually committing s******
As a huge Mythbusters fan, it pains me to know that I'll never see that episode, even if it is graphic. (Which is kind of odd Considering they let them do the Zombie Specia which had graphic but fake zombie makeup and in the star wars episode I think they took organs out of a large mammal I believe but I'm going off of memory, feel free to correct me.)
It’s such a joke concept “is cereal more nutritious than cardboard?” It’s such an obvious answer, and yet they committed an experiment to it where they starved mice to prove a point nobody would dispute. One of the mice just decided they weren’t going to starve to death. There’s nothing educational about it, or scientific. It baffles me that it was shown at a school, what could be gleamed from that experiment?
UK psa: shows kid get injured everyone complains Australian psa: ad with (terrible) cgi of teens exploding from running over a minefield that looks like a beach and the message being "hey kids don't skip school or you'll be so dumb you won't know mines are dangerous". hardly anyone cared, though it did run after 8pm
6:38 so, it's literally called grandma lady photo. Huh. Weird that people implaying that it's german spy and isnt USSR or something like that. Serisously, is this because americans has a weird fixation with word "babushka" or this came from russian part of the internet?
I know this wasn't unsettling but I was looking for a old DVD and it wasn't what I expected to find it was a DVD from SpongeBob episode but I only found a Fisher-Price DVD I don't know if this is lost media or it's rare
Loss media from Mythbusters Me as a person who grew up watching this show: "O.O... I remember the cereal saying episode, but I didn't know that!" If I remember correctly, that was the same episode where the other group was seeing if they could use an egg to clog a leak in a car engine. I didn't know that episode had a dark secret o.o
Bro, why is making edgy crap that makes fun of other peoples’ religions so normalized? Nuns are sexualized. People make bombing jokes about Muslims. Native American culture being used as a caricature. Like, the God is being (I can’t even say it) makes me so mad! Like, why are we letting people blatantly mock religion?
I always get so triggered when people use babushka wrong lol. Babushka means grandmother in Russian and Polish (idk about Ukrainian)--it does not mean a headscarf
That myth busters one must have been bad. I had a snake back when I was a teenager and I accidentally forgot to feed the mice I got for her since I usually just gave them to her the day I'd buy them and I went on vacation and came back a week later and 3 nice became 2 with each having half a mouse in each corner with the dead one still connected by it's intestines...I felt really bad and never forgot again
That happens when the space become short , source become less, the mind only think for survive only and because of this the creature become slowly cannibal... So, the conclusion is this the brain torture himself ...is not it
@christopherbarrett02Yep. It might be gone now, but I’ve seen it. He got quickly dragged onto the boat after the stingray stung him. It’s quite distressing.
9:51 tbf, in 2009 mobile "games" were mostly like that, in terms of semplicity, I remember spending hours playins similar stupid games like bubble wrap (U tap and the bubbles explodes), lighsaber (U move the phone and the sword makes a sound) and some gun apps which made sounds of said guns.
I think I've seen the cardboard one from a downloaded file of the episodes about sugar in cereal boxes but it might've been a different episode, I l ask my father
This should be watched while eating popcorn and drinking soda lmao bc you finna see some very dark stuff even darker than the darkest black plus I'm already getting unsettled ;(
"my scriptwriting used to be horrible" bruh if THIS is the improved scriptwriting I don't even wanna imagine what it used to be like 😮💨. This song incoherent shit
4:36 The cardboard myth test actually do got released......they just cut off the mouse experiment , and keep the "traditional lab testing aka' burn it up to heat water.' " method and the "funny" Adam eat box test.
