I was in Mostar before 3 years. A very nice croatian city. After Mostar I have visited Neum and Dubrovnik. The last one was breathtaking. Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Greetings from Germany.

What a beautiful city! Man, I've really gotten behind on your videos. It's been a while since I've watched one. Maybe one of these days I'll catch up. Funny about the squid. I saw that post on Instagram. That evening, while I was teaching, a grammar point came up with the question, "What is he eating?" I showed them that Instagram picture and made them guess what it was. Some of my students had eaten it before and like it. One of my students was utterly shocked that people eat squid! Her shocked expression was pretty funny. 😂Great travels you've been having! 👍🏼✌🏼

Squid is a very distinct taste. If yr not a fish person it’s probably not yr thing as the way it was prepared was not battered and deep fried like Americans are used to. I love it personally as it is a grilled Mediterranean style with Olive oil

Gabriel Traveler I wouldn't say you're the best out there, but you definitely got something. You need to work on the sound, it's frustrating sometimes! When are you uploading your video from Dubrovnik? can't wait to see it! by the way, did you not go to rovinj? I think you would have like it.
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 7 лет назад
+Paloma, I would agree I'm not the best, there are certainly other guys with higher quality videos, in particular in terms of their equipment and editing. I need to get a new camera bad, especially since my GoPro just stopped working. What's the main issue with sound, is it a matter of wind noise? I just posted my video of Dubrovnik. And I did actually go to Rovinj. Maybe you missed it because Rovinj isn't in the title, but it's now one of my best performing videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fUGgQCcWkBU.html

I hope you had a good time in Mostar. you stayed at the same hostel I did where the hostel owner of Hostel Moran made death threats against my friend and evicted him from the hostel. it was a scary situation. the owner seems to have extreme anger issues as well as a strong dose of homophobia. I hope you didn't have any problems! (I recorded the experience on my channel)

Wow, crazy. No, everything was fine except that the next morning when I was hanging out at the hostel waiting for my bus, then two of the workers seemed to get in a heated argument. They were speaking the local language so I'm not sure exactly, but it seemed pretty argumentative. The manager wasn't there at the time because he had taken people out on a day tour. Other than that it was a nice hostel, too bad to hear the guy has some issues.

Did it feel a bit less "gritty" and or safer in Mostar than in Sarajevo? It looks beautiful and worth a visit. Thank you Gabriel! P.S. I'm glad those $8 flip flops are holding up with all the mileage you have put on them so far!
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 7 лет назад
Yeah, way less gritty than Sarajevo. A beautiful spot and more to see than what I showed, there's more exploring to be done in the area. Those flip flops have been great, but I need to buy a sturdier pair of sandals (my other ones wore out), so that I'm not wearing the flip flops so much. I'm now in Albania where things are cheap, so hopefully find some good hiking sandals somewhere. Too hot for the shoes.

Cool video.! BTW what makes that bridge so popular?
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 7 лет назад
Good question! For one thing, it's the first bridge of its kind, being a single-span bridge built in the 1500s. It was super strategic as a bridge over the river. The town actually built up around the bridge. So it has historical significance. And it's just pretty and the town is nice. Probably it's been played up by Bosnia and Herzegovina as one of its star attractions.

If you're planning things the day before whilst travelling couchsurfing is too unreliable. When money isn't involved people naturally are less inclined to host, hence the reason Airbnb is so popular.

Gabriel Traveler enjoy! Jordan has so much to see! Amman (has Roman ruins), Mount Nebo, karak (has crusader castle ), Petra, the Dead Sea, and in the north there's Jarash (Roman ruins) so much exploring to do. The food in Amman is so good. Habeebah is a dessert place but try their kanafa (orange colored Kataifi dough with cheese in it) that's the dessert of Palestinians and Jordanians. Shawarma (many places but Reem and aldayaa are famous and cheap). Hashem in downtown is very street "foodish" and cheap and of course u have to go downtown Amman. The most beloved food of Palestinians and Jordanians is mansaf and you can get that from al quds restaurant in Amman. Uber works (but officially illegal but not enforced) but taxis are metered (make sure the meter is on). Can't wait to see your videos!

No problema. Luckily, I've never even been inside a Catholic school. My dad went to one and he always told terrible stories about it.

don't know how the muslims are in the mentioned countries but in Bosnia they're secular, meaning they drink alcohol, some eat pork etc...

Tony4nderson Yes becouse the Croatian nationalist party HDZ is in charge of the town so they make their side a lot better financialy and in living condition. This is sad regarding the fact that there is almost 50% Bosnian muslims living there. Mostar is pretty much like two towns in one where one side gets a lot better treatment than the other. People dont cross sides to often and sometimes people get beaten up when they cross.

We visited afew weeks ago. Arrived at the Bosnian side, parked between a modern hotel and the ruined train station. Passed many bullet riddled buildings on our walk to the river.

Mostar is one city, I don't remember any signs saying "Welcome to Croatia" when I was there. Mostar is in Bosnia and Herzegovina mate. You might brush up on your geography knowledge.
