Nice one , it’s a muddy old place down there , I fished there on Saturday evening but down the ship end , nothing doing , had two whiting in about 5 hours , the mrs had nothing, which was a surprise, she usually catches more than me 😂,, 👍👍🤠
I've not touched my wellies since I've been back, to scared as there caked in mostyns finest 😂😂😂 Darren was saying about that end, the reason we fished this side was because of the small tide to be able to hold bottom. I think I'll stick to the island next time, it's got alot to offer 😅
@@thatsabite it’s not as muddy down by the ship end , I fish an hour or two before high on smaller tides , and a couple of hours after , so mainly standing on concrete, but there’s a lot of rays get caught down there , hounds in the summer , loads of plaice and flounder plus bass , although the island is probably closer to you than mostyn , 👍👍🤠
Your right boys a fish is a fish 🎉🎉 I used to go to Mostyn as a kid and the only bait worth using was peeler but we always fished off the rocks on that T junction and used to catch loads of small fish but more seaweed than anything else 😁

Great video Mike Great place to fish and there's an nover mark that fishis well by the old ship that docket out of the water using rag lug mussels and Cockels you should try the sonik vader xs 14ft ft rod and the sonik 8000 surf reel I got both couple moths a go probably one the best rod and reel I've used even the tip of the rod lites up lol. iv had a lot of the pen rods and some of them have snapped too easy all the best from Paul from Staffordshire England 🇬🇧 👍

You should try a 13ft AFAW 6&bait mate, lovely rods and can be used in any situation. I use fixed spool and they’re by far the best rods ive had. Great video as always by the way 👍🏻

awesome i love my century CM just waiting for it today as it had a full rebuild i have the MK 1 version of the rod but it now has titanium rings new reel seat and shrink tubing , new decals and nice new coat cant wait for it to get delivered today great vid mate love watching them you have a laugh and a good time and that's what its all about keep it up brother and if you ever bring out merch one day i will surely buy them :)

@@thatsabite in Mostyn we went further up parked in the first lay by and over the wall my buddy normally has rays from there but with the small tide it was hard when we do Talacre again it's going to be I the light hard work getting to the water with a lot of mud your casting was spot on I struggle as all my sea rods are old hand me downs 😀 👍 JJ jammy john my cuppa nearly came out my nose I laughed that hard plus I call my wife mush 😆 keep the lines tight buddy
Nothing wrong with the rods you just need to learn how to cast a simple over head whack isnt loading the rod you need to use a pendulam cast to get the most out of them
It was down to the butt eye not being big enough for the fixed spool reels I had for them. I've switched them over to multi and boy are they casting a dream! 🤩
And also the way the line oscillates of the fixed spool reel wasn't right, it wasn't tappered enough. But, problem solved now. They'll soon be bending into tope... or whiting 🤣
